Garnier Skin Active Micellar Gel Wash Review

Refreshing clean feeling from the first wash. Actually got all my eye makeup off first time.

Left my skin feeling cleaner from the first wash. Removes all my makeup no problem.

Light crisp scent, had to describe but pleasant.

This may be my new go to face wash.

Simple clean packaging also. The pump top is great for in the shower.

So I have been wanting to use the Garnier Skin Active Micellar Gel Wash ever since I heard about it so I was excited to try it. At first glance, the packaging of the product is great, it's visually pleasing and I'm grateful that it has a pump which makes it easy to use. In terms of the consistency of the product, it was refreshing as in it just glided on smoothly and left my face feeling super fresh afterwards. The bonus of this product for me was the size, at 200ml a bottle you get a very generous amount of product and they kindly fill it right to the top. I have one gripe about this product and it was in terms of the makeup removing side of it. It was when I removed my eye makeup with it, it left a slight sting but the product was fine on the rest of my face. On the whole, I'm quite impressed and I will continue to use it until its gone and then I will consider repurchasing it.

As someone who wears a full cake face every day I have been using 3-5 cotton round things everyday taking off my makeup with regular micellar water, so as you can imagine I was excited for this.

I was sceptical I won't lie, what kind of face cleanser can take off all of your double wear foundation and clean your face? THIS CAN. I took this in the shower with me so I could just wet my face and then use it, as I would typically remove my makeup with micellar water before the shower. When I got out I was in shock. My face was completely clear of makeup??? after just washing my face once??? with this cleanser??? Mind blown.

This saves SO much time, so much product, everything about this I have been looking for in my life. The packaging is great, the texture is great, the scent is great, I don't think there is anything bad except it stings your eyes if you get it inside them but its worth it.

You need this if you want an amazing life.

This Gel Wash definitely caught my attention, you can use it on your face, eyes and lips! I really that idea, it makes removing your makeup a lot quicker. It comes in a clear plastic bottle with a pink pump lid, its easy to use and you need a couple of pumps to get enough product for your entire face and neck. Trying to get it to foam up on your face after you apply to wet skin didn't really work for me but if you foam it up by rubbing it into your hands first it works great. Before I used it I made sure I had another read of the instructions on the back of the bottle, luckily I did because it says 'incase of direct eye contact rinse immediately' so I guessed it really isn't good to get in your eyes! I was a bit worried because I wasn't sure how I'm supposed to use it on my eye makeup without getting some in my eyes, the thought of it freaked me out a bit. The product doesn't have much of a smell to it, just a mild chemical scent. The first time I used it I foamed it up in my hands and rubbed it all over my face and lips, I've got to admit it works really well at removing makeup, but I really don't like the fact that it stings if you gets some in your eyes, I found it impossible to not get any in my eyes while removing my eye makeup, the next morning I ended up with a swollen eye up the top, which has never happened before so I wont be using it on my eye makeup again. It also tastes really bad so try not to get it in your mouth while using it on your lips! I liked that it didn't dry my skin out it was very gentle. I'm not sure if I would purchase again just because of the fact that I wouldn't use on my eye makeup again when that's what its for, the price is affordable though.

I absolutely love the Micellar Water from Garnier, so was super excited to try out the Gel Wash. It lived up to my expectations for sure!

First of all, the packaging is very aesthetically pleasing which makes me happy. So simple, but so cute with the pink pump which is great that you can turn it left and right to lock it, so that is doesn't dispense when you don't want it to.

I've found that you only really need one pump of the product to get a good cleanse, and it leaves my skin feeling so cool and refreshed. I tend to pop to the gym after work then come home and take my make up off, pop some comfy clothes on and relax - this gel is great in this part of my routine as it makes me skin feel fresh and I can relax after a hard days work.

I really love this! My skin feels so clean after using this. There isn't a trace of makeup or product left on my face and my skin feels lovely and hydrated. I have to be careful using products on my face because it can break out but this just makes my face feel lovely. I like that it doesn't really have a strong fragrance and its so easy to use. I even got my mum to try it out and she said she really like it. I also like this product because its so easy to apply being a gel. No mess or spills. I love that it's in a pump bottle as well. The easy use of this makes my night routine so much quicker. I will be purchasing this again for sure!!!

Recently my skin has been dry, raw and angry so I was a bit apprehensive about trying this product.

But it was great! No colours, no scent, not too highly foaming. It lived up to the claim about being able to remove face and eye makeup. No panda eyes the next day! I found that it removed enough makeup so I didn't feel like I needed to do a second cleanse (though you may want to if you wear heavy makeup).

This product kind of reminds me of the dermatologica special cleansing gel but for a way for affordable price point.

Great price, available in a lot of places. I would purchase this again.

I'll be frank - not overly impressed with this micellar gel wash. I was intrigued because I use the Garnier Micellar Water and love it. However, I love it because I don't have to rinse my face afterwards. Putting it in a gel wash just defeats the purpose for me. But, I still gave this product a go. It doesn't foam up too much, and looks pretty cool in a clear gel form. But my skin was irritated by this, even though it was meant for sensitive skin. Not sure why, maybe I just have ultra sensitive skin? It also didn't remove makeup around my eyes, and I use mascara. To me, this product wasn't anything special, and that's a bummer.

I love using the Garnier Skin Active Micellar water so I was pretty happy for a chance to try out the gel wash. It comes in a nice clear bottle with a handy pump. It worked well at removing my make up and left my skin feeling clean and fresh. My skin has become sensitive of late and it was good to see that this wash didn’t aggrivate it. Only thing I felt lacking was the quantity I had to use . It took a fair bit of wash to clean my face throughly. I'd definitely go for it again for specific make up removal use.
