I loved how it had a pump so it was easy to use in the shower. Fragrance was a subtle citrus smell not too overpowering. It foamed up really well and went onto my skin easily. My skin felt refreshed after using it and i did notice that it was a lot brighter. I love how you can buy Garnier products at the supermarket so they are very reasonably priced.

Tips: I used the Garnier Vitamin C micellar water to take off my makeup first then used the clarifying wash and found they worked well together.
As a preface: I have post-partum, combination skin with occasional breakouts, fine lines and hyperpigmentation. I have been using Ethique's range to reduce plastic consumption and to avoid sulfates as much as I can.
I wasn't expecting too much with this cleanser, it's in a plastic pump bottle and the first ingredient after water is sodium laureth sulfate so I used it with a little trepidation. To its credit, it does what it says on the tin (/bottle); it cleans. I found it to be a perfectly acceptable second step in removing makeup. I also used it in the morning to see what it was like as a cleanser on bare skin, and it was just fine - it left my skin clean without feeling too dry.
I'd hazard a guess that the vitamin c aspect is a gimmick, given you're rinsing the product off before it was a chance to do anything.
Tips: Use as a second step in removing makeup if you must.
I liked using the Garnier Skin Active Vitamin C Clarifying Wash. It has a fresh and subtle scent of citrus and comes as a gel.
I switched from pushing on the pump all the way down to half the way, as it is sufficient to apply all over the face. It rinses well and leaves the skin clean, soft, although dry with my sensitive skin.
The bottle is recyclable, the pump isn't. I am not aware if Garnier offers to refill their bottles. I like that no cotton pads have to be used in the process.
The price is varying from $13 to $18. At $13, it is worth the money.
I would give a friend the thumbs up if they were asking me about it.
Tips: Do not use too much as it will foam a lot.
I'm always a sucker for anything 'brightening', especially with Vitamin C as an ingredient, but this clarifying wash just wasn't it for me. It was fine - the scent was nice, and it cleaned my face well in the evenings (I'm a combo skin girl). I did feel it was too 'soapy' for me though, I was left feeling a bit too squeaky-clean and dry afterward. Unfortunately, there are just too many other good products on the market currently, so I wouldn't bother with this one again personally.
I was really keen to try this, as I've had wonderful results with Vitamin C products on my skin before. Just like most of the Garnier products I've tried in the past, this face wash is highly scented with Garnier's signature smell.
The Vitamin C face wash lathers wonderfully and cleanses really well, but I didn't notice any difference or brightening in my skin tone. I would recommend it to friends, if they don't have sensitive skin, as it's a nice foaming cleanser, but to be honest, it's pretty average when it comes to improving the appearance of uneven skin.
Tips: Avoid if you are sensitive to fragranced products. This face wash is highly fragranced.
I love Garnier products. Have been using them on and off since I was a teen (35 now). However, this product was kind of a disappointment for me. I didn’t notice any change to the brightness of my skin. The face was fragrance was a bit to strong for me and I think I have come to the conclusion, that I’m not the biggest fan of gel/foaming type cleansers. This would be perfect maybe for a late teen/early 20s person. Not saying this is a bad product, but I think at the age I’m at now, this type of cleanser doesn’t work for me anymore. I prefer a cream cleanser now.
After a few weeks of trialing this cleanser along with the rest of the range I can say this cleanser leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean and it's perfect for morning or evening use. It doesn't have a strong smell at all and it works well with my oily and sometimes sensitive skin
Thanks BR for the trial so glad I was picked for this. I use Revitalift Vit C Serum daily so this was perfect to compliment my skin care regime. The Vitamin C wash bottle is bright and attractive with a pump dispenser and love the fact you can lock it for easy transportation.
First time I used it I dispensed too much and it lathered up too much to the extent I could blow bubbles out my nose lol! I normally cleanse x2 daily with my facial cleansing device & another gel cleanser but for the trial I had to adapt my regime. In the morning I applied the Garnier Vitamin C Wash, massaged into my face, neck & declotage, (you only need a little bit). I massaged it in for a minute then rinse thoroughly patted my skin dry. My skin felt good afterwards & very soft.
In the evening I double cleansed, so applied Vitamin C wash, massaged into skin for 1 minute then rinsed. I then applied my other Gel cleanser & used my facial cleansing device rinsed & dried. My skin felt soft afterwards. I then applied my Vit C Serum & Vit C Jelly Daily Moisturiser.
I did notice throughout the trial my skin did start to get a bit dry I'm places, so I just made sure I applied my Vit C serum straight after and added one of my other moisturisers, but only had to do this on a couple of ocassions.
The Vitamin C wash had a nice smell, with a gel consistency. I'm so impressed with it I will continue to purchase this. I've checked prices in the supermarkets, which vary so will buy when on "special". Buying this means my more expensive gel cleanser will last way longer so will save me money in the long run as I'm watching the pennies! I've noticed a big difference to my overall complexion my skin looks brighter. I did have the ocassional spots but that was probably "purging".
For this trial I also used the Garnier Skin Active Vitamin C Jelly Daily Moisturising Cream after cleansing which I just love. The 2 work great together.
I've noticed the lines on my declotage have reduced since using these 2 products together so I'm stoked.
It's a great product considering it's a store bought product
Tips: Only use a small amount otherwise it foams up too much Perfect for double cleansing
Love this! The foaming is so gentle and the wash has a refreshing smell. Leaving my skin feel soft. Doesn’t feel dry or cracked.
The first thing I noticed when I lathered up the face wash was it's beautiful citrus scent. It left my skin feeling clean and refreshed and did a great job of removing my makeup. Not sure if I'd say my skin is 'glowing' from it, but my skin seemed to like it. It did not cause any irritation whatsoever and my skin was not left feeling dry, which was great. The bottle itself was easy to use - no issues with the pump. I used the product generously twice a day, and there is still some to spare. I am going to buy myself another bottle!
