The jelly feel is definitely very nice, it applies smoothly and feels refreshing when going on the skin. I would however not recommend if you have dry skin or more mature skin like mine. It doesn’t provide enough moisture. It was great for my teenage daughter

I received this product to trial along with a Garnier face wash. I mention this because when you're trying more than one thing at the same time, it can be hard to tell which product is causing any issues.
For starters, this moisturiser comes in a super cute, easy to use, glass jar with a pale green screw-on lid. This makes the most of the absolutely clear gel inside.
When I apply it, it feels lovely on my skin - similar to applying aloe vera gel. Unfortunately, it seems to be so light that I apply more than I would of another moisturiser.
Ultimately while trying these products my skin has been fairly horrible. I think the cleanser hasn't been cleansing my dry winter skin enough, then I'm whacking too much moisturiser on it, because this stuff just seems to dry out on my face so quickly.
Ultimately, I think this gel might be great for a summer midday pick me up, but it's not nourishing enough for my combination skin. It's not a product I'd pick up again.
Tips: This would be delightful applied straight from the fridge on a hot day!
The jelly texture took a bit to get used to, it went on smoothly and did melt into my skin and at first i was probably putting too much on my face, it has nice fragrance not too overpowering, i did notice a difference and my skin appeared to be less dull. i do prefer to use moisturizers that have sunscreen in them.
Tips: A little goes a long way.
There were plenty of things I did like about this Vit C Moisturiser - the smell was quite light and refreshing, it absorbs quickly into the skin, and I do like the luxurious glass packaging it comes in.
The texture is the main part I had an issue with. It wasn't necessarily bad, just not really what I want from a daily moisturiser. I love creamy velvety textures, and this is quite a firm jelly. It reminded me a lot of aloe vera gel you'd coat yourself in after getting sunburnt, which just isn't that nice an experience to apply. I also don't think this did anything in regards to brightening or reducing dullness in my skin.
That being said, it is an affordable option, and if you can get on board with jelly texture it would be a great addition to anyone's routine - just not for me!
I was very excited to try this moisturiser as I have heard exciting things about vitamin c in skin care. This moisturiser comes in a jar and is a clear gel with a delicate fruity scent. It's a little difficult to get the right amount as it's very jelly like and if you tap it, you don't get quite enough and if you scoop it, too much. It's lovely and cool, which will be so nice and refreshing in the summertime and spreads very easily onto my skin. It soaks into my skin very quickly leaving it feeling soft and silky. I have been using this for 3 weeks and haven't seen any change to my skin tone unfortunately, but it does say after 4 weeks skin will appear brighter and less dull, so will continue to use with fingers crossed!
This review is a difficult one to write, because it sounds like I hated the product. In reality I did not, but it just was not the one for me.
I am very loyal to my creamy moisturisers, and a gel consistency was always going to be a hard sell for me. I have quite normal skin, a little dry on my cheeks, and that's where this product fell down for me. Across my nose and forehead it was nice, soothing even, but across my cheeks it left them feeling a bit dry, like i had just been swimming and put no skincare on.
I could see how this could for someone with normal/oily skin, especially in summer. It didnt add any oily feel, but the hydration just wasnt enough for me, or perhaps wasnt the right type. It says it helps reduce overproduction of sebum, but maybe it stopped mine too much!
Tips: The scent reminds me of something from childhood, but unsure what. It was light, and pleasant. I will keep it for summer days for under my sunscreen.
The packaging for this was basic and easy to use. It had a pleasant scent, unfortunately that is where the pleasantries end.
The moisturizer was a gel which I found left my skin feeling dry, patchy and craving moisture. This was not for me unfortunately
I trialed the garnier Skin Active Vitamin C Jelly Daily Moisturising Cream for a few weeks. I would put it on after using the Garnier cleanser. It is a jelly sustance, that spreads easily on your skin. I didnt really like the way it felt on my skin, my skin felt dry and didnt look refreshed. The jar goes quite far as you dont need much, its quite a nice size. My skin felt and looked worse at the end of the trial.
Tips: You dont need much as it goes quite far.
I have sensitive mature uneven skin. I have used the Garnier Skin Active Vitamin C Jelly Daily Moisturising Cream for a few weeks.
This cream has the consistency of jelly. The 50ml jar is the regular size and is easy to open. The jelly leaves a fresh feeling when applying on the skin. However, it leaves my skin slightly "sticky" and some pimples developed on my chin. My skin didn't stay hydrated for 48 hours either. This is not a product that suits my skin.
Garnier is working nicely towards sustainability. The packaging as well as the jar can be recycled.
Its price below $30 is reasonable.
Tips: Storing in the fridge, the jelly will bring even more freshness on the skin.
I have been using it for 3 weeks and my skin loved it. I didn’t have any dry spots even though it is light and absorbed the jelly fast. I liked to incorporate the Vitamin C in the jelly to brighten my skin, I do think this helped. Bonus points for being in a glass jar. It is good value for money, when you don’t want to spend a lot.
Tips: Still need to layer with an SPF underneath.
