Garnier Skin Active Vitamin C Serum Cream

I was very pleasantly surprised to like this product as much as I did. So much so, I will be incorporating it into my daily skincare routine. The product comes in a pump bottle, which makes for super easy application, and is more hygienic than dipping into a pot. however, this does likely mean more product wastage than other methods. The smell is amazing, it's super fresh and clean, and felt refreshing to put on.

The cream itself goes on like a dream, its super smooth and velvety, and absorbs quickly. Works great under makeup and has the added benefit of having SPF protection. It generally just feels good on the skin. In terms of benefits and skin improvements, while it takes a while / few months to really see the benefits of most skincare, but I have actually noticed some nice changes already. My skin definitely looks more alive, and some light redness from old acne has faded already, so my complexion looks more even now.

I will definitely continue to use this as a nice, light, daily moisturiser, and it's super handy to be able to access this from the supermarket, and at a very affordable price. A winning product in my eyes.

I am absolutely thrilled with the Garnier Skin Active Vitamin C Serum Cream! This product has become a part of my daily skincare routine. The fact that this serum cream combines both Vitamin C goodness and SPF 15 in one product has been a real game-changer. As a background to my skin type, I have combination skin that is typically oily on my nose/chin and normal elsewhere. I’m prone to the occasional breakout on my chin.

I love the fresh scent, it smells like a combination of cucumber and citrus to me. This product is ideal to use under my makeup. I found that it absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn't leave any noticeable residue. It creates the perfect smooth skin texture to glide foundation over. And on the days I can't be bothered with makeup, it gives a lovely glow to my skin that gives my face some life! I find some products that say they will give a "glow" are actually just greasy, but this product is not greasy at all.

I'd prefer to use a higher SPF product during summer, but I'm happy to use the SPF15 in the cooler winter days. Keep in mind that it's a slightly thicker formula which means on colder mornings it can sometimes be difficult to pump out of the bottle. Once you warm the bottle up a bit, the product will pump out.

Overall I have really enjoyed using this product and will continue to use it for the remainder of winter.

I was a bit confused by this product prior to receiving as Garnier had come out with their “Green Labs Brightening Serum Cream” within the last couple of years so I wasn’t too sure if it was the same thing rebranded or a slight variation. The bottles are almost identical, a pale green opaque bottle with a white pump with the Skin Active Vitamin C Brightening Serum Cream (this product) being slightly smaller with 50ml rather than 72ml. I have to admit that my skin doesn’t really have dark spots or much pigmentation these days so I can’t speak to how well this evens it out but I do think it definitely made my skin glowy which is nice. It lives up to its claim of having the lasting moisture of a daily cream, it’s definitely moisturising enough that when layered with SPF (this is just part of my routine) I don’t need any additional moisturising product for the day and I appreciate that it absorbs nicely and doesn’t cause any pilling of anything I’ve layered over it. The only real thing I can fault this product on is the scent. It is just waaaaaay too strong for a facial cream! The scent itself is nice, if it was a body or hair product I would be into it but on my face I find it a bit much.

I absolutely adore this product. It's so lightweight but instantly refreshing. The first time I applied this to my face, I could feel my skin instantly rejuvenate, my skin was absolutely parched and it was like having a big chug of water, it immediately sunk in and my skin felt smooth and supple, I was very impressed by how quickly I noticed anything at all. It's definitely non greasy, even after I accidentally used far too much, it still absorbed immediately (although my skin was Sahara desert dry). It also smells divine, it's a very citrusy scent, but it's not overwhelming and the scent does fade after a while. The product itself dispenses easily and 1-2 pumps is more than enough to do my entire face, sometimes I do a few extra pumps on a particularly dry day, but I can already see this is going to last a long time, even with multiple reapplications. I love the size of the bottle, 50ml is more than enough to last a long time, while still being the perfect handbag size, I now carry this with me everywhere. While I tend to still use a higher spf in my day to day foundation, SPF15 is still better than nothing and I love that I can quickly reapply this on the go. It goes well under makeup but also brightens your skin enough that there's been quite a few days where I haven't worn any make up at all. I am utterly obsessed with this and I don't see this leaving my skin care routine anytime soon.

I love the idea behind products that combine key elements of my skincare regime together - a Vitamin C Serum and SPF. Although some products may seem ineffective at doing it all, I really feel that this product lives up to the hype.

It has an easy pump dispenser to help regulate the product amount. Two pumps seems just about right to cover my face and neck.

I love the scent of this product, I can’t quite put my finger on it but it seems so fresh! The serum itself is a silky cream consistency. It feels thicker than other serums I have tried before, more like a moisturiser consistency. It applies well, settling in to the skin quickly. It has almost an iridescent glow when you first apply it to the skin. It almost sparkles! I have found that I know need less moisturiser as this serum helps pack a punch with hydration.

Overall, I am happy with the scent, hydration level, and the way that it makes me skin seem glowy and more even in appearance.

This 2-in-1 serum cream is brilliant and I am impressed. I love the combination of serum and SPF15 moisturiser cream. It brightens my complexion, hydrates and feels lovely on my skin every day. My skin was dry and this was amazing. It makes my morning skincare routine so much easier as this is an all one product. The serum cream is light and fast absorbing with nice fresh scent. My skin feel smooth, hydrated and vibrant and I really enjoy using it. I would highly recommend to all busy mums.

The first time I used it, I immediately noticed the somewhat strong scent (which I personally liked) and thought when working the cream into the skin, it was a little bit thick and required a wee bit more gentle massages..

Immediately after use, I didn’t notice any significant or noticeable brightness to my skin but felt that my skin Upton touch was quite soft! The best feeling personally after using a serum!

I also did love the many benefits in the one bottle especially the SPF! One (or two if you include the moisturising properties) less step in the morning or in general if you are a mum like me! Absolutely love!

I think I will need to use the product for longer than ten days to see if there is a significant improvement/difference in my skin brightness but overall love the multi steps in the one application!

I always use a vitamin c serum because I’ve noticed they’ve really worked to lighten my sun spots. I was super keen to try this one because of the spf in it as well. You should always wear sunscreen when using vitamin c so this is a bonus!

I love the formulation of this product. Not sticky like a lot of vitamin c products and it feels super luxurious and hydrating - and no strong sunblock smell!

I will definitely be reaching for this one again. Great for mostly indoor days just by itself or with a stronger sunscreen on top for me for other days.

I liked this product but I can’t say I’ve used it long enough to see any long term effects. I’m going to keep using it for sure and I’m hoping it will be brightening. Based on my use so far, it’s a nice light product that applies smoothly and absorbs in. It doesn’t leave my skin sticky and I like that it has SPF.
