Garnier Skin Active Vitamin C Serum Cream

As a background to my skin type, I have combination skin that is typically oily on my nose/chin and normal elsewhere. I’m prone to the occasional breakout on my chin.

I love the fresh scent, it smells like a combination of cucumber and citrus to me. This product is ideal to use under my makeup. I found that it absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn't leave any noticeable residue. It creates the perfect smooth skin texture to glide foundation over. And on the days I can't be bothered with makeup, it gives a lovely glow to my skin that gives my face some life! I find some products that say they will give a "glow" are actually just greasy, but this product is not greasy at all.

I'd prefer to use a higher SPF product during summer, but I'm happy to use the SPF15 in the cooler winter days. Keep in mind that it's a slightly thicker formula which means on colder mornings it can sometimes be difficult to pump out of the bottle. Once you warm the bottle up a bit, the product will pump out.

Overall I have really enjoyed using this product and will continue to use it for the remainder of winter.

I was very pleasantly surprised to like this product as much as I did. So much so, I will be incorporating it into my daily skincare routine. The product comes in a pump bottle, which makes for super easy application, and is more hygienic than dipping into a pot. however, this does likely mean more product wastage than other methods. The smell is amazing, it's super fresh and clean, and felt refreshing to put on.

The cream itself goes on like a dream, its super smooth and velvety, and absorbs quickly. Works great under makeup and has the added benefit of having SPF protection. It generally just feels good on the skin. In terms of benefits and skin improvements, while it takes a while / few months to really see the benefits of most skincare, but I have actually noticed some nice changes already. My skin definitely looks more alive, and some light redness from old acne has faded already, so my complexion looks more even now.

I will definitely continue to use this as a nice, light, daily moisturiser, and it's super handy to be able to access this from the supermarket, and at a very affordable price. A winning product in my eyes.

I've been using this nearly daily for two weeks and have been enjoying the product so far. It dispenses easily via the pump bottle and applies smoothly to the skin. Some Vitamin C serums can be irritating but I've found this very gentle. I love that it combines a serum/cream in one so you can minimise a step in your routine. I have oily skin and I find it rich and hydrating on my skin. I haven't noticed any brightening effect over the short duration of use but will continue to use the product.

I surprisingly LOVE it, having SPF in the serum I expected it to be thick but it's nice and thin and lathers so nice on your skin and bonus cause i love the scent that all Garnier products have and this is no different. My skin doesn't get oily which is a mega bonus for me.

I was really excited to trial this as I’m usually not the best with keeping up with my skincare so loved the idea of a vitamin c serum SPF and cream in one as it eliminated a few extra steps for me! I love the added SPF as this is something I look for in skincare. I have a combination skin type with an oily t-zone and normal everywhere else. I am starting to notice some dullness as well. The first thing I noticed was the packaging. It is what I would say is the signature Garnier packaging. The bottle is sleek and has a pump to dispense the product. Scent of the product is mild for me and I don’t really notice anything. The cream itself is quite light and non greasy. I used this as part of my morning routine because of the added SPF. I’d need two full pumps and I would apply that all over my freshly cleaned face. The cream melts so easily onto my face with minimal effort. I decided to use this for a full week before I wrote the review as I wanted to see if there would be any changes in my skin. This product promises to brighten and improve dull and uneven skin. Over the course of the week I did notice changes, my skin feels softer and definitely looks brighter. I’m usually prone to a couple of breakouts and haven’t had any with this product at all. I am pleasantly surprised with this 3 in 1 product because of how good it actually is. It’s perfect for someone like me who is usually short on time in the mornings as well. Skin care sorted in no time. I would definitely strongly consider repurchasing when this runs out.

I have enjoyed using this product over the last week. The product is marketed towards dull, uneven skin and I noticed my skin looking brighter after several days of using it.

The cream comes in a simple 50ml, green pump bottle. It is easy to use and store. It is a lightweight cream consistency and has a pleasant, citrus scent. The product leaves my skin feeling soft, but I've noticed my skin feeling a little greasy after using this. I have been using this daily as a moisturiser and am happy with how moisturised my skin feels. I had a look online for how much this sells for and I think the price point of $30 is fair. I will happily continue to use this product as a day cream.

Also I did notice a typo on the back of the packaging "Apply daily this non greasy SPF 15 formula over over your face."

First thing I noticed was the beautiful smell and consistency, which is perfect. No oily residue, but a glowing smooth finish. Very refreshing to use in the morning to start your day and excellent knowing it has SPF. I haven't used it long enough to see much of a change but so far I'm really loving it!

I like the idea of a serum/cream/SPF and I'm sure this product will work well for some, but I definitely won't be repurchasing this one.

The product comes in a neat little pump bottle. It says to keep the bottle upright so probably not ideal for travel.

The cream is quite thick and has a moderate scent. My biggest issue with this product is that it didn't seem to sink into my skin very well, it felt like it just sat on the surface and made my skin suuuper shiny - it claims to help dull skin so I'll give it that. My face was most definitely not dull when using this.

SPF 15 seems pretty pointless in NZ but I guess it's better than nothing!

I love vitamin C as a skincare ingredient, but probably need to trial this cream for longer to be able to tell if it's making any difference to my skin.
