I love BB creams as I don't have a lot of time in the mornings and moisturizer/foundation/sunscreen in one is perfect - plus it doesn't look or feel like you're wearing a lot of makeup. Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector was thicker than the Maybelline BB I was used to, which took a little getting used to. It also left a more dewy finish, which I'm still not sure whether I like or not. I haven't had enough time to really see if there are any anti-aging benefits (trial time is far too short for the fine lines to start fading!) but it feels nice and does a good job of creating a nice, even complexion.

Can I start this by saying ow happy I was that it fit in my make up bag - yay!! Small victories people! Anyway..... I wore this all week before making my decision on this. Shall we start with the pros?
It is light weight and feels like you are wearing nothing at all which is a bonus because if you are wearing make up all day you do not want to feel like your face is caked on. It covered my pimple lightly and didn't cause a whole new break out (like new products tend to do to my face). However if I was having a bad break out I would need more than just this bb cream.
Personally I liked the slightly growly look it gave me - it probably would suit me better in summer as I like that shiny/ sparkly look more then and prefer a matte look in winter. So I think I will return to this product in warmer months. Another reason it makes for a great summer make up is that it is so quick to apply and has SPF in it and we all know that sunblock helps prevent ageing (not to mention this product also aids in anti ageing).
My cons for the product are that I am VERY pale (so those of you who are not pale probably do not have this problem) and if you do not blend properly you will know about it. SO blend. I mixed it on the back of my hand day one and it was soooo dark on my hand hahaha.
Another con was that I found it didn't wear as long as I wanted and I would need to retouch if I was heading out after work.
Over all I was very happy with this product and will be using it for everyday wear to work during the summer months because it is quick easy and light weight.
As for the anti ageing part - I figure it needs more than one week to work so watch this space ;)
Tips: Blend. Blend. Blend ;)
Being a busy mum I am always looking for ways to save time but still look half decent before I race out the door with the kids. I've seen lots of marketing hype about BB creams but never tried them myself, With combination skin (oily t zone and dry everywhere else) I have wasted a lot of money on products which make my skin turn into an oil slick on speed so I am always reluctant to throw money at products that may not work. So, you can imagine my enthusiasm to trial a BB cream without any risk. Then I read the box and what's not to love about a product which reduces wrinkles, firms skin, evens and illuminates, correct blemishes and 24 hour hydration plus a sunscreen. It was love at first sight! So did it deliver?
The first thing that you notice when opening the product is the scent, it's pleasant and subtle. The texture of the cream is thick but it blends well and is absorbed into the skin not immediately but eventually. The coverage is good. It did provide even coverage as outlined on the box. Did it illuminate or reduce wrinkles? The jury is out on that along with firming the skin. It didn't settle into my lines as promised on the box and it deliver on moisture. My skin, although shiny by the afternoon didn't suffer like it has with other products. It is winter and the true test would be a summers day but based on winter conditions, it held up well. I trialled the "light" colour which was a perfect match to my skin tone.
The only negative comment would be that I found this product could not be used near the eye area. Although not specified as a warning on the product or packaging, as the day progressed the product moved into my eye which caused stinging and my eyes to go red. The first day this occurred I put it down to something in my eye but as the days went by it became a real problem. When I stopped using it on my eye lids etc the stinging and redness disappeared. I can wear foundation and concealer close to my eyes without any issues so this is the first time this has ever happened.
Would I still use it? Absolutely. Anytime I just needed a light coverage or was running late, it would be my go to product. It would be good to see a more natural product but when it comes to BB creams, I'm now hooked.
Tips: Don't use near the eye area. Beware in summer if you have oily skin.
Before receiving the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream I had never before used any kind of tinted moisturiser. My first impression was that it had a pleasing fragrance and was of a thicker consistency that was easy to apply. I was immediately surprised by the coverage it provided and after 2 applications it would be quite adequate for those "makeup free" days over the weekend. I used it for a full week under my normal foundation and it certainly gave a smooth, even finish. I have had a couple of blemishes this week and it gave good cover without the need for concealer. I am not sure about it being "anti ageing" but I did like the even finish it provided. My children were performing in a school play all week so I even used it as a base under their stage makeup and it was perfect. I would definitely use this cream again although with my fair skin I do prefer a cream with an SPF factor during the summer months.
Tips: Two applications a minute or two apart for really good coverage and a smooth finish.
A lot of women love BB creams and Garnier is no exception but I am yet to be convinced. Perhaps it is because I have loved using good coverage foundations for many years and find anything less just not enough!
I gave the product a good go though! It's easy to apply using just your fingers and has a light to medium consistency. It applies smoothly and I found the light shade ok for my skin tone (light to medium). The coverage just wasn't enough for me and I found myself just wanting to layer more on!
The product claims to reduce wrinkles and firm skin but I didn't notice any significant difference in the short time period that I had to trial. It also states "for instantly flawless, glowing skin" which was not the case for me. I found it greasy and not thick enough to produce a flawless result.
The packaging is eye catching and it has a pleasant fragrance and affordable price, so it would definitely appeal to many women. I feel that I could recommend it to people as a summer tinted moisturiser but I won't be raving about it's effectiveness.
I guess it's a personal preference but I will be going back to more effective long lasting foundations for a flawless finish.
Tips: If you prefer a light, dewy coverage, this may be for you.
My experience with this product was overall unimpressive, I applied with a clean sponge I use for foundation, although I dont usually have a red complexion, this product actually made my skin look red, so coverage not great at all, also it made my skin feel "Powdery", also had to vigorously wash to remove any excess from my hands. I don't get wrinkles so can't vouch for that claim. Keeping in the spirit of the trial I did keep using it for 3 days, (Whilst at home), On the up side did leave my skin feeling a little firmer, smoother and definitely a slight glow to my face after I removed it, it also felt lighter then a few other products Ive tried. Wouldn't bother buying it to use again as is quite costly and didn't really perform as well as desribed
I tried one of the Garnier BB Creams a year or so ago and while it was pretty good, I wasn't 100 per cent convinced: hence the reason I ended up switching to another more expensive brand.
My biggest gripe back then was that my skin felt like there was thick makeup layered on it. Fast forward to 2014 and this new breed of BB Cream is awesome! It goes on smoothly and absorbs beautifully, leaving no residue or streaks. It blended in perfectly with my quite pale (an often hard to match to foundations) skintone.
I'm in my late 40s but have pretty good skin. One of the reasons I think I've managed to avoid a lot of the wrinkles is that I've always taken the use of sunscreens seriously. It's so nice to find a BB Cream that has a grunty sunscreen built in, that doesn't make my skin look orange, and that doesn't make me itchy (a common result of makeups with sunscreen for me).
The result is that your skin looks polished without looking too made up ... and you're ready to face the day in just a matter of minutes.
Aside from all that, this also left my normally quite dry skin feeling hydrated and smooth.
I will be switching back to Garnier from now on!
I'm a fan of BB creams and this one really performed. I tried the Light colour and my initial impression was that the colour was heaps darker than other brands I've tried (Nivea, Cover Girl, Maybelline) and wouldn't work well with my pale redhead skin. My 49-year old skin has an oily T-zone with dry, reddish cheeks and the colour blended in surprisingly well, providing enough coverage to even out my complexion and cover my large pores. The cream is quite thick but doesn't make you feel like you have a faceful of 'slap' on your skin. I do prefer a matte look and dusted translucent powder over the top. By the end of the day my skin did not feel as oily as it did with other BB creams I've used. The cream smells somewhat like cold tea - quite fresh and not highly perfumed, which I liked. I'll reserve judgement on Garnier's claims of firming my skin and reducing wrinkles - can't say I noticed any difference after a week of use, but perhaps that may happen with extended use (one can hope!). Definitely will keep using this product; great value for money.
I love this product, I'm not a big fan of spending ages applying products so and having a moisturizer/foundation/sunscreen in one is perfect - plus it doesn't look or feel like you're wearing a lot of makeup which is perfect for me as I don't wear make up all the time and only on special ocassions.
I found it easy to apply using my fingers and blending it in was easy to do. I didn't have any foundation sponges to use to see if it applies even better that way but I would imagine it would give even better results.
Does it help with wrinkles and anti ageing? Not sure as only used for a week so far to be able to say whether there is any noticeable difference, however it didn't crease where the wrinkles are.
Good value for its price and would purchase this again.
Tips: You only need a little of this product as it spreads a long way :)
I am a long term user of garnier bb cream (sensitive). Since becoming a mum I don't wear foundation for extended periods nor do I need that really full coverage (probably because I don't get out so much anymore), so this bb cream has been perfect for me. The anti- ageing cream felt thicker to put on (than my usual sensitive version) and was also slightly darker than the sensitive version (even tho I used the light tone for both).I was quite conscious of the darker tone on my skin so I would probably use this one more in the summer than the winter but I guess this could just be a batch issue? However, the thicker consistency meant it was longer lasting than the sensitive version and also helped reduce the appearance of my pores - particularly around my nose. It had a pleasant smell and gave a luminous healthy glow to my skin. All in all really good value for money (less than $20 retail) and quick to apply for a smooth even finish.
Tips: It is difficult to know with these one size fits all products whether the tone is going to be right for your skin so if you can trial a sample etc prior to purchasing, I would recommend doing that.
