Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Anti Ageing Review

I've heard great things about this product before from friends and family so was very keen to give it a go myself. It glided on smoothly with non of that gluggyness that my usual liquid foundation comes with. So beautiful and light but unfortunately the light version was still a few shades too dark for my ghostly complexion(almost everything is). That aside it made my skin look healthy and dewy and worked perfectly over my thin lizzy concealer. Would not recommend for oily skins though, an hour after applying I was already dabbing at my face to get rid of the shine. Definitely a great product for those non-oily, non-ghostly pale girls.

I have a few patches of dry skin which I feel Garnier BB Anti Ageing Cream has helped to moisten making my skin feel and look more even and refreshed with a slight glow. Application was easy and smooth using finger tips in a circular motion to get an all over cover and then out to the sides and down the chin to neck to remove any lines that maybe showing. But over all application was quick and easy to do and with the creamy consistency of Garnier Anti Ageing it was not hard to get an even cover leaving my skin with a firm but soft velvety sheer feeling. This I found lasted the whole day without having to renew during the day especially if I used a light cover of powder over the top. The price for this product is within what I would call normal for this type of product. The tube with the design of the cap made it easy not to use to much at one time and the box packaging is adequate. But the packaging would not influence my purchasing this product. I will continue to use this Anti Ageing product so as to get a proper result as I feel that 10 days is not long enough to make a good and fair finale judgement.

Packaging is a little unusual, a lot of information, but a bit too busy, looks across between a beauty product and prescription medication. I chose the medium shade, but I found it too dark for my skin. I normally fit this category, so I was a little disappointed and as a result applied the cream sparingly. I initially used it without my moisturizer, but my skin felt dry and tight. I then applied more BB cream the next day, but it was just too dark for me to feel comfortable without applying "going out" make up. So I decided to use it with my moisturizer... much better. Wrong shade aside, BB cream has a lovely smooth, creamy consistency, and when generously applied it gives an even, clear complexion. When cold my skin certainly develops some redness, I also blush very easily and visibly. This cream certainly prevents this from being noticed or an issue. The cream has a pleasant, subtle fresh scent. It states it contains sunscreen, but doesn't specify the strength. I believe this cream would make a great substitute for a normal foundation. I would buy this product but the lighter shade.

This is the first time I try Garnier BB Cream ! After trying this BB Cream, I want to say something about this product. #1: The Shade: I tried the LIGHT shade because my skin tone is asian between fair tone to light yellow tone. After appling Garnier Anti-ageing LIGHT shade, my skin looked not much difference comparing with my own skin tone. #2: This LIGHT shade BB cream smelled nice and fresh ( plant's smell ). I personally liked this pleasent smell ! #3: Packaging: It has a nice look and not very big size which I can put it in my handbag easily. When using, it came out the right amount that I expected ( just enough! ). #4: When using, I can feel that I can apply the cream easily and I can spread the cream without any problem ! #5: Coverage: It's a sheer coverage ( I should say a "light" coverage only, similar to " tinted moisturizer ". IIf you want a "medium coverage BB cream", maybe Garnier Anti-Ageing BB Cream won't meet your expectation. #6: It contains Mineral Pigments so I can feel creamy and smooth when using it. #7: It says " Up to 24Hr Hydration " but according to my situation ( ageing skin, a bit dry...), I didn't feel that it last that long. I applied the BB Cream before going to work, and after 9 hours I felt my skin looked a bit dry ( maybe my skin problem..). #8: It's very good to see this product contains SPF15 sunscreen ! I appreciate it !!! #9: The result: After using it, I can feel my skin looks smooth, fresh, BUT for me just a a very light coverage (suitable for day time I think ). Very natural looking.

First of all thank you BR for selecting me as one of the lucky people to review this product. I am a "BB virgin" so I was unsure exactly what a BB was. I have normal skin with the odd upset now and again. My daily routine consists of cleaning my face and applying moisturiser. When it arrived I actually ignored the packaging as I wanted to see what the product looked like. I selected medium as I thought this would be the right colouring for me, have to say it was a little darker than I expected and the consistency was thicker than the foundation I used to use. Back to the packaging, it is eye-catching, with a brief on what the product does. As for the instructions it says 'apply just like your normal moisturiser", and so I did, bad move, it was the wrong colour, very thick feeling and felt like it stayed on the surface of my skin, and to top it off it rubbed off onto the collar of my black work vest, not cool. I came back to the BR page later in the day and went through the tips on using BB creams. In hindsight I should of read through these first. 'Light Bulb' moment, mix it with your moisturiser, this gave it a more even coverage and made it easier to apply, it gave my skin a nice healthy glow. A couple of days after using, wouldn't you know it I got sick, instead of looking washed out and blah, my skin still looked alive, all I did was added a little more BB cream to the mix. Normally in Winter my nose gets a little dry, since using this product I haven't had the need to apply more moisturiser in the middle of the day. As for reducing the appearance of wrinkles I'll see what happens after 4 weeks of use. I have taken a before photo and I'll take one again in 4 weeks to see if there is a noticeable difference visually. I don't think that I am able to recommend this product just yet as I have only been using this for a short length of time, maybe later on. As for purchasing again I will decide once I am near to finishing it. For now I am happy with it.

My first impression of the Garnier BB Cream was that the tube was much smaller than I was expecting but I have since realised that I don’t need to use much of the product to get the coverage I need. I also think that the price is very reasonable for this product. One thing I found was a drawback on my first day was that there were no directions for use on the actual tube and I had to go back to the packaging which I had left in the kitchen to find out how to use it. The colour that I was given – Medium, suited my skin perfectly and once I had worked out the correct amount to use, it absorbed into my skin nicely and gave me a slight but not overly noticeable change to my skin appearance. The packaging said that the Garnier BB Anti-Aging Cream would instantly and effectively fulfil all of my skin’s needs – reducing wrinkles, firm skin, even tone, illuminate complexion, correct blemishes, hydrate and protect the skin. I don’t think this happened instantly or within the four hours stated, and I personally would not expect to see an instant change in an older skin, so I think they should change the wording for this. I did see a slight change in my skin tone, it covered the blemishes slightly and hydrated and protected my skin because of the moisturising effect and it is meant to have sunscreen in it. I like the fact that it is paraben free, that is really important to me and overall my impression was positive for it to be used as part of my daily makeup regime, as it covers my skin with what would be the equivalent of a light foundation and moisturises my skin at the same time. In Summer it will be great as it contains sunscreen but I did not see the benefits of this now because it is Winter. It is possible that I will see the effects of the anti-aging claims with more prolonged use and will keep using it and probably for a long period of time.

This is quite a thick cream, (comes out of the tube similar to toothpaste). It doesn't have an overpowering fragrance and the light shade was perfect for my skin. I am a novice when it comes to BB creams so I followed the directions on the box which said to use instead of moisturiser. I have dry skin and this just wasn't enough moisture for me, all day it felt like my skin needed a drink, so the following day I applied it over top of my regular moisturiser and it was much better. It was great at reducing the appearance of freckles, however I did find when I hadn't put any moisturiser underneath it emphasised my fine lines under my eyes (the colour sort of run into them, similar to knees and elbows with fake tan), this didn't happen when I moisturised first. I will use up the stuff I have but unsure if I will purchase it.

Easy to apply. Goes on nice, smooth and even without dragging the skin. It is quite thick and creamy but very light on the skin. A little too light for me. I like a bit more coverage and I felt I need to keep reapplying through out the day. It has a nice fragrance and the packaging is simple and nicely priced. Help reduce the appearance of enlarged pores and gave a more even skin tone. I think it is quite good however for me the coverage was too light

The original Garnier BB cream was the first one I used and I really liked it. Recently upgraded to the Smashbox one and then tried this Anti Aging Garnier one to see how it compared. I wanted to love it more than I did unfortunately.

The instructions say to use as you would a moisturiser - I prefer a really high SPF moisturiser so I applied this after my moisturiser had sunk in for 5 minutes.

The texture is creamy, it's not too thick but I did find it thicker than the original BB cream. It blends in well and gives a reasonable coverage for a BB cream. I did find it was a much more matte finish than I am used to. I did notice that my skin tone and wrinkles seemed a little less obvious for the first half of the day although I don't think this lasted all day.

I did want to love this product, I think I will keep using it for a while longer and see if there are any longer term effects from the anti-aging properties (it's hard to see the effect of these in one week).

Would be nice to see this released in a Super Light colour as the Light is almost too dark and I have pretty fair skin. It would be ok for me in summer but not in the middle of winter!
