Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-Free Review

So I received this product in Medium. First impression was that it was pretty runny, and I was worried the coverage wouldn't be that great. It also has a light fragrance which I actually found quite pleasant. That also worried me a little about how it would react with my sensitive skin as I get eczema on my face with some products. When I applied it for the first time, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! It had great coverage, evened out my skin tone amazingly well, and made my redness disappear totally! At first I did put a mineral powder foundation on top, but found that by lunchtime my face was pretty oily and shiny. I wasn't sure if it was the product doing that, the mix of the two products or if my skin just hated them both on it together. After a couple of days of this, I then omitted the mineral powder and just used the BB cream. I found this controlled the shine for a little longer, but by 2ish I was still getting pretty oily-looking again. Up until now, I had been cleansing and adding a moisturizer right before application, so I decided to let my moisturizer absorb for a while before applying the BB Cream....and WOW. What a difference!! I'm sure I got even better results by doing this! I still get the shine from late afternoon now though, but it's just a little shine, I don't look like someone sprayed my face with canola oil, so I can live with that! I have also had no skin reaction to this at all. I'm totally converted and have stopped using my mineral powder completely and just use this as my foundation.....I will definitely be buying more of this once I run out.

I thought over all this was a pretty good bb cream. I have previously used the loreal bb cream and liked it but it didn't come in an oil free variety

So my review

Colour- was a really good natural colour that wasn't to yellow or pale I happily just wore the BB cream on it's own with a bit of mascara.

Application- it went on really easy and was a nice smooth finish. 1 coat was good for a nice light coverage that felt breathable. I used my Napoleon auto pilot first but that's more because I'm a creature of habit you could get away without a primer. The only downside I found was with the tube itself the BB cream sort of drips out so there's not really any reason to squeeze the tube, the issue I had with this is tht the end got a bit mucky and you kind if need to wipe the end off before putting the lid on otherwise when you opened it again it would be all over the end.

Wear- I found the BB cream looked great when first applied a overall wore pretty well except for my problem area around my nose which tends to be my oiliest spot. After a few hours it did look a little patchy and need a touch up. I did find if I applied the bb cream twice it wore better but this did look like a heavier coverage.

Overall though it is a pretty good product, one of the things I liked the most is that my skin didn't feel yucky when I took it off.

The BB cream I trialed wasn't that great, firstly, the container made all the BB cream leak, and the cream was too liquidy. I really liked the smell. The texture was too liquidy and made my skin very oily, even though it was meant to be oil free. It didn't really help my blemished skin, but it was really nice as a concealer and not as a cream for all over my face. The price is really good for what I got. My tube leaked all over my parcel and made my jeans yuck because the consistency and bottle was very horribly thought and had to put it in a different container so I could control it. It is very easy to apply and it lasted me very very well.

I found this cream very light and easy to apply, i used it as a base and then applied my powder on top, and found it worked quite well, would use this product again, didn't have any bad smell either. It worked really well with my skin and did not have oily skin when it was on.

when first used I put far too much on. A little does go a long way with this one!. I felt the consistency a bit runny and hard to control, however the coverage was great and it lasted throughout the day. I have very oily skin and this did not make it oilier which was fantastic!. It did leave a little powdery finish which I didn't like. Overall I would use it again if it was a bit thicker.

Like other BB creams this is great for when you are feeling too lazy to put on a full face of makeup. On most days of the trial I wore it without foundation. The colour suited me pretty well, but was a little on the orange side (I used the medium shade). Coverage was average, despite being rather runny in consistency. It did however noticeably improve the appearance of my skin by reducing redness and shine. I am confident I'd notice further improvements after using this product over a longer period. I still prefer to use moisturiser along with a regular foundation though.

I don't usually use makeup that much , but iv always wanted to try sumthink like this .I tried it for 4 days in a row it was amazing best product i have used soo far i just wore it by its self , my face has been breaking out a bit lately an it covered really well i was really suprised . An its the perfect colour too , i did find that it is a bit slippery if u wear glasses . but that isnt a problem for me i have recomened it to a few friends too i would defitnly use it again an buy more . a bonus is that is last ages you only need a little bit with some makeup sponges . love it !!!!

The BB Cream has a very liquidy, smooth texture. Soft floral fragrance, very perfumy.

Light to medium coverage, and very buildable. It covered my redness and I was able to use a little more in places to hide imperfections.

Lasted most of the day, not sure on the actual length, but I lost a little in oily places and it seemed to stick to the dryer places a little longer.

Makeup artists I showed it to liked it, most commenting on the coverage being consistent and the formula blending well.

I used it instead of moisturiser, and loved the fact that it had an SPF.

Had the effect of making my skin look like my face but better :)

Wonderful product, and it has become part of my morning skincare routine.

Ive tried many BB creams over the years, and hadn't had as much WOW as i did with this one...this BB cream worked wonders on my skin. Other than being an oily-monkey, I don't have very problematic skin, but the small amount of redness i have on my cheeks and the few break outs i had on my chin were immediately concealed by this bb cream alone...I didn't need concealer AT ALL!! it is a thin liquid like substance that was easy to blend out, and dried to a semi matte powdery finish- i didn't even need to set it with a powder which was an added bonus (especially if your in a rush). It had a medium coverage that could easily buildup to a med-full coverage...I could wear it for around 4-5hours before i had to do any powder touch ups WITHOUT the use of a primer underneath, and i have VERY OILY SKIN!! So I'm definitely impressed... Will definitely repurchase this BB cream..best one used so far... !!! I used the shade in Medium (I'm currently a MAC NC30-35) and the shade was a good match for my skin tone, however it did have a slight pink tone to it when i first applied it, but it oxidised nicely to suit my yellow undertone skin ...

Often I have trouble finding products to suit my freckled skin, but with this BB Cream I have found an easy to use solution. The cream rubs on and blends effortlessly giving an all over natural yet covered glow, stops shine and lasts throughout the day. I will definitely be using this product again and look forward to seeing the lasting results.
