I was really looking forward to trying this product as I've heard so much about BB creams and how amazing they are. I tried the variant for oily to combination skin which is what I have. I also have quite sensitive skin and after just a day or two of using it my skin became dry and irritated and soon broke out in spots. I kept using the cream for a full week every day and my skin got worse and I then when I stopped using it and went back to my regular foundation my skin improved. I have been wondering if there could have been any other factors causing my bad skin over the trial week but there is nothing obvious so I have to put it down to my skin just not agreeing with it. I must say that yes, my skin did appear to be less oily in the afternoon which is great as I do battle with a shiny face as the day progresses. The only thing is that with it I also started to get dry skin, dry skin that is visible because the cream doesn't properly absorb in. Perhaps I would have had better luck with the sensitive variant which I have seen they also have.
The other thing I think is odd is that they only offer two colour tones. I went with the light but I found it was a little too light for me. I could get away with it but I definitely felt a shade lighter than normal.
In months when I spend more time outdoors I love to wear makeup that includes a sunscreen, but in the middle of winter I don't see the need to plaster my face in additional products that have no purpose.
The cream does apply nicely, it blends in well and has great coverage, smoothing out blemishes, evening out my complexion and so forth. But you need smooth skin to start - it wasn't great for me because it dried out my skin which meant my skin went a bit flaky.
It also definitely controls shine well.
I don't know if it minimises pores, reduces blemishes or hydrates which are other claims written on the packaging.
I don't know the price point but the packaging makes it feel like it's reasonably priced and there fairly affordable to test.
My outcome is that it is not a bad product but it didn't agree with my skin. I'm not put off by bb creams but it feels like something you need to spend a bit money on
I have quite an oily forehead and t-zone, and sometimes dry spots on my jawline and around my nose and mouth.
The consistency of the bb cream was more liquid than I thought it would be but it was nice and light. I think I got the wrong shade for my skin, it was noticeably to dark for my face when I applied it with my fingers, but it looked really nice when I applied with a brush. The application was definitely a lot better when I used a stippling brush, than when I used my fingers. Maybe I used too much when I applied with my fingers, or didn't blend it enough etc. So the brush made a massive difference. I didn't notice any fragrance, if there was one it didn't bother me at all. The coverage was light, it evened out my skin tone but didn't really hide any blemishes as such. I have pretty good skin, but generally large pores and this did an okay job at minimizing them. I feel like this product will last a long time for someone like me who doesn't wear full coverage everyday. It is good for me because I like to have a "no make-up" look for my skin, but I like to have an even skin tone, which this product seemed to do well enough. The packaging was pretty good, it's slim enough to throw into your bag and take with you for any touch ups etc, which I like.
Tips: Use a brush to apply, the product is very light and liquidy which makes it harder to apply with fingers/hands evenly.
