Having never used a BB Cream before, I had no expectations when trialing this product. I found it very easy to use, the light texture made it spread evenly across skin, and the coverage from one application was enough for a natural day look. I also used it mixed with primer under only concealer and powder for a casual evening out, and the coverage held up well.
Shine Control and Matte Effect: While it did control shine longer than if I were wearing foundation, I wouldn't claim it to be a matte effect on my skin.
Reduces Pores and Imperfections: For a light coverage product, I was surprised at how well it did cover imperfections, though I didn't notice an improvement to pore size visibility.
Evens Tone and Boosts Healthy Glow: Yes to both these claims for me when worn alone.
Hydrates and UV Protection SPF 15: I found I could wear without moisturiser, but my skin felt better when under eye cream was also applied first. Loved that it also had a little SPF.
I use a Mineral powder religiously so was a bit nervous about using this, also as my skin is so fair even the lightest option sometimes isn’t right.
I applied with a foundation brush, as it seemed quite thick. I liked the feel of it on my skin and the dewy look but the colour just wasn’t quite right for my complexion. It has a nice fragrance and it definitely gives a 'not wearing make-up but wearing something kind of look' which is good when you just want to wear the absolute minimum.
I personally think this product is more of a summer thing, as it would suit my colouring a bit better once I had some sun.
The packaging is nice, and is very reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to recommend this product but maybe not for all the lovely ladies with a porcelain complexion!
Tips: If your current foundation is a little too dark now that it's winter, you can mix a little BB cream in to lighten it up. Also, if you are going for 'no make-up make-up' then make sure you use cream blush with this not powder. Got these tips from a recent mag and they are great!
