Tips: ALWAYS use a heat protecting creme or spray. I highly recommend Kerastase Cemente Thermique
My mum has this ghd and i got my hands on it and it never went back , i love it . I swear that ghd's make straightening so much simpler , they are just way more easy to use and get the job done quicker with better results. i would never go back to my old cheepo straightner , i could not live without my GHD :)
I have really frizzy and out of control hair, which many straightners couldn't help. I went to the hair salon and bought one, and haven't looked back! I gave away all my other styling tools as I no longer had to use them. My GHD makes my hair and silky and straight and I find that it takes me less time to use than others and has a better result. I definitely recommend it and the price pays off as you dont need as many other styling tools.
Tips: You can get really nice, bouncy curls with it!
I brought a GHD when they first come out years & years ago and have never looked back!. I remember everyone asking me back then how i got my hair so straight and silky! now they are so common as everyone knows how fab they are. I'm onto my second pair, the gold styler and I love my GHDs as much as I did when I first brought them. They are expensive and a big outlay, but worth it. The only downside is even using a heat protectant if you are using it many times a week, like I used to it will start to dry out your hair. These days I like to blow dry my hair and just use my GHDs for special occasions.
I have just received these for Christmas. Took a wee bit to get use too after using my old straightener for years, but finally love them. They leave your hair feeling healthy and straight for a couple of days.
Cannot live without them! I homestly dont know how I managed before with my old irons. I have long thick damged hair but these babies sort it out in minutes. I love all the different things you can do with them; straight, volume, curls, ficks and anything you can think of. Every single girl out there needs one above all other products. Downsides; they damage your hair(duh) dont let anybody let you think otherwise but its completely impossible to get round. They are pricey but so so worth the money and they have fantastic warranties. They are continually being upgraded all the time which makes you want to spend heaps of money to get the new version and for these reasons only I took points off for would you recommend to a friend.
Tips: Heat protecting sprays ate recommended to help control damage but I dont really know how well they work. 2 weekly leave in treatments and daily argan oil as well as a good quality salon brand shampoo and conditioner will help combat damage. I use Joico K Pac
My GHD"s are actually my travel straighteners as I've another set I prefer for day to day, but I can't fault the GHD's either.
They're a quick, effective way to add straightness and shine to my hair, and while they're pricey, they do last. The 'good hair day' claim really is accurate - a quick swipe with GHDs tames frizz and helps hair shine; a longer, more concentrated straightening session produces straight locks with gloss and a healthy appearance.
You can't really go wrong with GHD's on the whole and the Gold plated models are still a bit of a 2000's classic! I think every girl either had a set or wanted one!
Tips: Definitely invest in a good heat protectant spray, because these babies get HOT!
I thought the staighteners I had were quite good till I got my GHDs....the previous ones I had were nothing in comparison! They are so quick to heat and easy to use. I also use them on my daughter's very curly hair and they are perfect!
I've had GHD's for numerous years now and absolutely love them. I think the only thing I regret is not getting the big paddle type one as I have very long and very thick hair, so using the smaller ones takes a very very long time! I can never get it looking as good as the hairdressers either for some reason? I like the fact you can use them for other things than straightening, such as curling, or as I use them, for creating volume at your roots. They are expensive, however I'm onto my second pair in 8 years, and have had no problems with them so they last very well.
Tips: Use a protectant spray before hand, and an oil after to give your hair a beautiful shine and to tame those fly aways :-)
Ever since I got my GHD I haven't used any other brand. GHD straighteners are easy to use with a 30 second warm-up and automatic power off. GHD will get the results that you are after and will definitely make your hair feel silky and soft.
