Exotic blend of power

This was one of the perfumes you could always find in our house growing up. I loved it back then and still love it now but not necessarily for me. I think this perfume smells incredible on those fortunate enough to pull it off.

It could easily be classified as a perfume of "all sorts of too much" but given the right amount, the right person and the right amount of time to soften up it truly can smell like an exotic blend of power.

I've always been a huge fan of the packaging because there is just no mistaking RED with the rich honey liquid coming through the diamond shaped bottle. The 50ml can easily fit into your purse for travel though I don't see anyone needing to touch up because this stuff is quite potent.

Don't be fooled by the EDT because the initial hit of warm wood, spice and floral notes can be overpowering (borderline heady) if you don't spritz with caution. The staying power is fantastic and the great thing about this perfume is that it does dry down to a softer version of the notes which just clings to your clothes and skin.

I don't see or recommend it for the spring chickens but more so for mature women. I would recommend it for anyone who loves woodsy fragrances mixed with florals and who doesn't give up too easily on these types of scents.

Giorgio Beverly Hills

At first I thought yuk it smells like Tweed that we use to torment my mother with as xmas/birthday presents, (turns out she hated Tweed perfume).......this has now very much grown on me. Musk, sweet, spice all of the above. I love to spray this on my blankets before bed turn the lights down and use it as my go to smell for my relax/meditation time. It's almost like a warm soothing incense. Very calming.

A hot mess!

Dead sexy on the right chemistry. I purchased the 100ml blindly based on notes alone as I am a big fan of Giorgio fragrances and especially perfumes from the late 80s to mid nineties! At first I loved the hot firey scent this delivers, super spicy notes layered over sweet (naturally sweet) cherry and sandalwood, however there is just something not right on me and my skin seems to disagree with the peppery marigold like notes (though marigold is not mentioned in the notes) when it mixes with the base spices it becomes a cloying peppery mess - like yellow flower pollen mixed with white pepper, my partners allergies flare up instantly when I wear this and everyone around me starts sneezing. Such a shame - this has been re-gifted. Sometimes my skin really just intesifies the spices in fragrances to the point where it is unbearable and I smell like a spice rack but not in a good way.
