Glam by Manicare Heated Eyelash Curler

This is quite a cool (well hot) device. I don’t have much in the lash department so have used a traditional unheated lash curler for a while now with minimal results. But now that I’ve tried the heated curler, my old curler is redundant. It’s really easy to use, the silicone pad changes colour from pink to clear to indicate that it’s ready to use. I was nervous putting it close to my eyes at first thinking I might scorch my eyeballs however by the third try I was more confident and realised that it is designed in such a way that you can’t get burnt. You only need to hold it on for 15 seconds to get the results so it’s quick and easy. This might sound weird, but I actually felt like my eyes were open wider after using this and I felt more awake! Would recommend!

Id used heated eyelash curlers in the 90s and loved them. I always had to buy online overseas as we never had any here in NZ. For me they were a life changer as I have been using manual eyelash curlers since I was 15. I used to heat the pad up with my hairdryer, but that resulted in the burning of my eyelids multiple times! So when I saw this being advertised I jumped at the chance to review it and I wasnt disappointed. Its brilliant does exactly what I needed to do and gave my lashes a really lovely curl. So yes I highly recommend this product if you are are eyelash curler girl, or try it if your not, the results speak for themselves.

I've never used a heated lash curler before, so can't compare it to others. However, it's MUCH nicer to use than an ordinary lash curler. It doesn't pinch at all, and it heats up super fast. I get a much better curl than with a traditional lash curler, and it lasts longer too, though it does start to flatten throughout the day if I don't wear mascara. I do have to curl my lashes 2 or 3 times to get a good curl, but that's not really an issue. I'd definitely recommend this, even just for the ease and comfort compared to traditional non heated curlers, and it does hold reasonably well even without mascara. I don't think I'll ever go back to a non heated curler after using this!

This product is awesome. I inserted the batteries when i dust received it and tried it out straight away. It heated up like the packet said, it didn't get too hot which i was afraid of, just warm, but enough to curl those lashes. I only needed to clamp them once for 15sec for it to give me beautifully curled lashes. Bonus is they stayed curled until they got wet (kind of like of you straighten your hair) i love these curlers and have been using them daily. I have long but straight lashes, and while mascara applies nicely to them (as long as the formula's good) and I get a nice lift, it never lasts long, which means I am a fan of eyelash curlers for when I want a little extra oomph.

This eyelash curler is heftier than the usual, but I liked how it felt it my hand. It felt safer, somehow. It's simple to work - just turn on and the pink strip fades to clear when it's heated up enough that it's time to curl your lashes. It took me a few goes to get a hang of, but after the third time I found the best angle and learned that you had to push the lever all the way up so your lashes are held tight, then keep the curler there for a good 15 - 20 seconds to get a result. And what a result.

Initially I wasn't sure it had done much, but on applying mascara my lashes looked fake. Super long, super high, and super gorgeous. I'm a convert, and can't see myself reaching for a traditional curler ever again.

This heated eye lash curler uses 2 X AAA batteries. It doesn’t come with the batteries, so if you do buy this heater lash curler, remember to throw some AAA batteries into your shopping cart at the same time. Putting the batteries into the eye lash curler was very straight forward. The instructions for the eye lash curler are clear and it’s super easy to use, especially if you’re already familiar with using a regular eye lash curler. It’s pretty much the same thing, except you wait for the curler to heat up once you switch it on. It took less than 35 seconds for the eye lash curler to heat up. I must admit, I was initially nervous that it might burn my skin. If you’ve ever heated a standard metal eye lash curler with your blow dryer on the hot setting, then you’ll know that it’s easy to get that too hot and burn your skin. This isn’t the case with this heated eye lash curler at all. Once I got over my nerves, I actually used it 3 times on each eye, to see how curly I could get my lashes. I had only just purchased a regular eye lash curler about a week before I was selected to trial this heated curler, so it was good to be able to compare the two. The Glam by Manicure heated eye lash curler is definitely better. I got a much more defined curl to my lashes. Obviously the longer your lashes are, the more curl you’ll see. Even without applying any mascara after I curled them, my eye lashes definitely stood out more. I wish I hadn’t purchased a brand new regular eye lash curler just before being selected to trial this one, as I’ll definitely be using the Glam by Manicure heated eye lash curler instead. I would definitely recommend this curler.

So simple, easy and comfortable to use. Would never go back to a traditional eyelash curler. 100% does what it says and my eyelashes stayed curled all day. I'd happily say that now I've discovered this gem I won't bother getting extensions again, I use an eyelash serum and good mascara but the curl you get from this gem of a beauty tool makes it all worth it.

Thanks to BR for sending me this product for review! I've had heated eyelash curlers before, and they've been a bit hit-and-miss, but I'm really impressed with this one!

On first appearance, this is a little light-weight and plasticky, but it quickly makes up for first appearances!

It turns on really easily, and heats up really quickly. The colour-changing pads are great because you know for sure when you're good to go.

Sandwiching your lashes feels much more comfortable and less frightening than the old-school torture contraptions that are regular curlers, and the double pads are an excellent invention- think normal curler pad plus and additional pad to get a fuller curl.

I found that I had to use them for longer than the suggested 15 seconds, but the curl also lasted much longer than from normal eyelash curlers.

It cools really quickly on switching off, which is a really good safety thing, especially if you have small people with questing, curious hands around your place!

It does recommend not using on lashes that already have mascara on, and I'd be quite concerned about melting my mascara to the tool, so I didn't give that a go.

My only con for these is that you can, if getting too enthusiastic, accidentally dislodge the battery cover while operating the curler, but this is only mildly annoying, and not a deal breaker.

They're a really good curler, and honestly something I think I'll replace if/when they give up the ghost. Would recommend, especially if you have lashes that are sometimes curl-resistant!

A heated eyelash curler - something that should have been invented a long time ago! Such a simple solution for people with stubborn, straight eyelashes like myself. I was so excited to trial this and it did everything I hoped it would. The curler heats up very quickly and I have results in literally seconds! The design is super pretty too! It's so nice to finally have curly eyelashes without having to pay for lash lifts or spend 5 minutes with my standard curler to get average results.
