First impressions were ‘it feels super cheap’ , then I realised it is cheap to buy so I can’t complain on that part! I put batteries in, turned it on and wow, it heats up super quick. The pads change colour within seconds. When I go to use it, it freaks me out. The feeling of heat going close to your eyes is super scary. But you literally press it for about 2 seconds and you’re done! I have the tiniest lashes and it makes them look much longer!! You use less time than a manual curler. Super easy. Only downfall is that it’s hard to push the button up fully, to get it to fully clamp your lashes, and it feels like I might slip my thumb and then the curler will pull all my lashes!!! So you have to be super careful. But otherwise, it does what it says! I’m gonna keep using it before I put mascara on each day. It doesn’t add much time into my routine and it really does work!

Tips: Don’t apply any moisturiser beforehand, if you have slippery hands it makes it super hard to use. Also don’t hold for too long otherwise you just get kinked lashes rather than curled.
I was curious and excited to try this curler as my old one died a couple of years ago after more than a decade. That beloved old thing was from a different brand, a simple wand in the shape of a pen that I applied after mascara.
Obviously technology has improved since. This Manicare version has all the bells and whistles. The gorgeous bronze gold colour has colour changing temperature sensor that heats it in less than 60 seconds.
It takes me a few go to get used to it. I find it a bit hard to gauge the right position for curling. It emits way more heat than I expected, which made me feel a bit nervous sticking it near my eyes - still prefer my old pen-like version as I could have more control about how close it was to my eyes.
I wasn't sure about the dual silicone pad, I think the one further from me isn't really helping to curl the lashes. One of my eyelashes also came off the first time I used the curler. I don't remember ever losing eyelashes using my normal metal curler!
The curler is a tad bulky and heavy for my liking but it does a decent job making my eyelashes stayed curled for the whole day. My thumb felt a bit uncomfortable holding it in place. Again, I'm bias, as my old curler was very slim and very portable.
I have difficulty curling the lashes on the outer corners of my eyes, which makes me wonder if this curler is more suitable for people with more curvy eye shapes. I'm still not successful in curling those parts but will keep trying to see if I can find a suitable angle.
Would happily recommend this to people with curvier eyes.
Tips: Make sure you have 2 AAA batteries as they're not included in the box.
I had been wanting to try heated lash curler for a while, but a bit worried about them being too hot and either damaging my eyes, or worse yet singeing off what little lash I had! No need to worry at all. The silicone pads that change colour when heated to the optimum temperature are a great idea and also super cushioning. Previously only using regular (and cheap) curlers, I had on occasion had lashes that looked crimped not curled, not the greatest look! These curlers did not crimp at all, just a nice, eyes wide open curve. Gentle on natural lashes. And not scary hot like hair straighteners so easy to have near your eyeballs without fear of lash loss! I would say it did take alot longer than a minute to reach the right temperature, but that may of been because I was using cheap batteries. Overall I would recommend them, easy to use and giving a nice curl
Tips: I would recommend the double curl, once at the root of the lashes, and a second curl nearer to middle
It’s a beautiful, sleek & a glamourous looking gadget! And so easy to carry in your purse. The first day I tried it, I was a bit scared of burning my eyes. But after the first use found it quite easy. Really, it’s such a simple & easy gadget. I did different trials the first few days to see the difference, not using a curler on one eye & using the manicure on the other eye or using the regular curler one eye & using the manicure on the other eye. And then getting my family to guess which eye I used the manicure on. Of course, they guessed it right away:) This was such a fun review for me! The eye lashes curl up better with a manicure than a regular curler. Finish with mascara and a liner to get the ultimate look!
Tips: Use mascara after using the manicure and not before. If you apply mascara before using the manicure, lashes become a bit hard and don’t curl up well.
This product took a bit of practice to get right, so don't give up on it before you've given it a good go. It heats up really quickly, but not to a point you'll burn yourself if you touch the heated silicone bits, so it's really safe to use. Easy to see when it's reached temperature as the silicone strips go white. I found once I'd worked out what I was doing the curl looked great and with mascara lasted all day.
Tips: Is a bit tricky in the beginning, but practice makes perfect.
Firstly, thank you BR for allowing me to trial this, Neat little tool much better than using a manual curler. Main body of the curler is a gold coloured plastic with black trim and a gel pad for curling your lashes. Big downside is its battery operated instead of USB as batteries only lasted a week, if thats the case it will be an expensive device to run. Took a while to get used to using the curler, still getting the knack of it but worked well considering i have really short lashes. I left it on my lashes for about 60 seconds. I have to use it a few times to get it to lift my lashes but it does make them look better. I needed to be careful that it wasnt too close to my lashes as it did feel on the hot side but didn't want to take the risk of seeing if it did burn. My only gripe really is its not USB and how long will the Gel pad last as from looking at the device it doesnt appear it can be replaced - perhaps pass on this feedback to Manicare. Overall I am happy with the device
.
Tips: With short lashes may need to try a few times to achieve a result. Keep a supply of batteries
Picked this up in the vault a couple months back. Easy to use and instructions are on the box. Is a nice extra step to your routine if you use this first and then add Mascara. Or can be used by itself for an easy day look.
Quick to heat up (60 seconds)Never gets too hot. Does take 2x AAA batteries. Great for ones self or as a gift.
Tips: Make sure you get your lashes in and clamp down fully. I noticed my results weren't as good as they can be if not done correctly.
The Glam by Manicare Heated Eyelash Curler comes in a cute little box and I was impressed that it didn't have a massive box for a tiny product. The design is sophisticated and would easily fit into any colour scheme. The curler is super simple to use and it's lovely to hold. I did think when I was putting the two batteries in that I would need to be a little bit careful when changing batteries as it did seem a little flimsy. There is a tidy little on/off switch. I really liked the way the silicon pads change from pink when cold to clear when ready to be used and heated. I did notice that it probably took a little longer than 60 seconds for it to fully heat up. When using the Glam by Manicare Heated Eyelash Curler I needed to get it quite close to my eyelids to actually get my lashes into the curler. I wonder whether having quite short lashes is a bit of a problem using this. I did struggle to get my lashes fully into the eyelash curler and had to have a few gos at getting them to curl. My lashes probably didn't curl as much as I would have liked them to, but again this was possibly due to my short eyelashes. I would like to try this after I use some eyelash growth serum to see if the results improve for me. I could feel that the curler was warm but there seemed very little change of being burnt by this tool. I doubt it would be hot enough to burn quickly. I would definitely recommend those with slightly longer lashes to try this tool. It's fun, simple and pretty quick which is always a bonus when we're all very busy!
The first time I used this I found it really hard to see if I actually had any curl because the tips of my eyelashes are so blonde! After applying mascara they kinda looked lopsided which must have been due to the angle I applied the device. I was pretty disappointed to be honest.
I tried again with it today but deciddd to put a small amount of mascara just on the tips of my lashes so I could see what I was doing. I got a much better result but i did have to apply the device to each eyelash 3 times and as it didn’t get the very corners of my eyes. I had to angle the device into each corner of my eye to get all the lashes. Happy with the result today. Does it do more than a mascara on its on….? Maybe but I didn’t notice a huge difference.
Tips: The mascara on the tips helped me see easier - however did leave black on the silicone. Would perhaps suggest eyelash tinting for those with fair lashes
This heated eyelash curler was much better than my usual one. It means my lashes hold their curl better, and I feel like it takes less time than usual.
I was initially concerned that it would be really hot on my eyes, but I didn't find I had any sensitivity, and I certainly didn't burn myself using it.
I've rated this really highly because I think it's a good tool, and it definitely did what it said it would. If you're a person who uses an eyelash curler every day, I think this definitely would be for you.
For me, I usually don't bother with an eyelash curler every day and end up a bit sad that my lashes aren't as good as they could be. There are a couple of things about this I wish were different: 1. I wish it was USB chargeable rather than it used batteries. Battery operated means it's slightly more annoying to take away with you, because if you run out of batteries you need to find new ones. 2. I found 3 times during the trial period, I left it on after I left for work in the morning. Thankfully there was someone else home who could turn it off. It would be great if it had an auto-cutoff of 10min or so. 3. I'm not clear whether, if needed, you could replace the pads.
All in all though - I will definitely keep using this, even though I wish there were a few improvements.
Tips: I always turn mine on to heat while I brush my teeth, then it's ready to go afterwards.
