Reviews
I was lucky enough to be chosen to trial this product by Beauty Review. I do not normally use a toner as part of my beauty routine as I find them too drying. However, I was interested in trialing this as it sounded hydrating.
The product comes in a clear plastic spritz bottle, with goodness' blue/green labeling, and matching coloured top. You can see that the toner itself is basically clear coloured.
I found it easy to spray onto my face, and it smells amazing! Like a combination of cucumber and freshly cut lemongrass.
It feels very refreshing on my skin, and I find it soothes my skin as well. I have had some bad hormonal outbreaks recently, and it has really helped to calm my skin.
It feels wet going on, but I find that it dries quickly. The toner promises to be cooling, refreshing, and to also work as a make-up setting spray. I found that it was great at the first two, but not as successful as a make-up setting spray - at least not as successful as an actual make-up setting spray. It is perhaps a bit too wet going on, and there was more movement in my makeup after using this, than using my make-up setting spray by comparison. That was my only criticism. I found this very successful as a soothing toner, and I think it would be great to use to refresh yourself after exercise, or just a hot summer's day.
Tips: The plastic bottle is light enough, and small enough, to carry around in your handbag.
This was bought as a gift for me a few months ago and I've already used it up! It is a classic-feeling toner, refreshing and clarifying but doesn't leave your skin feeling dry. It does a great job as a setting spray as well, and you can keep applying it to stop your makeup from drying out. The price and size are really good value for money, and it has an inoffensive scent. I will be repurchasing.
Tips: I spritz it on through the day when my face feels a bit shiny.
Looooove the smell and this toner is really refreshing, reminds me of a cocktail on a summers evening! Not super hydrating but to be fair they haven't advertised it as being hydrating so no qualms there. It's a really good price point so great value for money.
Tips: Don't use cotton wool, just spray and go!
Love this mist! I keep a bottle of it on my desk at work to spritz on my face as a refreshing spray - it's especially useful if I've been rushing or am hot from walking up the hill. It's nice and cooling.
The spray has a very light, natural scent - not strongly herbal like some natural products, more like cucumber and coconut water.
It absorbs comfortably and doesn't leave a residue on the skin. I wouldn't consider it hydrating on its own - you'd definitely need to follow it with a moisturiser. For that reason alone I couldn't give it 5/5 stars for 'doing what it says it would' - you just have to remember it's a toner, not a hydrating mist like all the trendy face sprays out there at the moment.
Tips: Keep it in the fridge for a truly refreshing experience!
Thanks BR i really like this product, its a cool brand, cool bottle and such a refreshing scent. I can't wait to use it in the summer months! Ive tried it on busy days at work when i can just feel my makeup going arghh and it instantly relaxed me and my cheeks. Ive tried it in the mornings to wake me up - instant! I tried it after a gym workout and while it stung a little (maybe a reaction with my sweat) it was still great. I used it to set my makeup and a few times through the day I'm not convinced it does set your makeup but it does definitely refresh you. The cool cucumber scent is very relaxing and fresh. I tried it on my husband and son and they said they'd be tempted to sneak a few sprays on a warm day or when they were feeling sleepy!!! Maybe i shouldn't have tried it on them lol.
Tips: Make sure you hold it far enough away from your face as otherwise the mist isn't fine enough and you'll mess up your makeup.
I love Goodness Products and this Be Cool Mist Toner is definitely a top rated product in my books. It is also one of the best mist toners I've used. I only wish it was a little bit bigger or that the spray was a bit smaller as I find this is used up pretty quickly. Though, it is easy to find at your local supermarket/store then it's not a problem.
Again, I seem to be drawn to products that are natural and made in New Zealand. This product is alcohol free and vegan friendly making this a very attractive product for me. I love mist toners in that you can pretty much use it for anything. I use it normally after cleansing, but also found it hydrating to use after applying makeup to give a dewy look or use in the arvo for cooling down. I also love the smell of this product, so refreshing but subtle!
I didn't like this product at first. It really irritated my eyes even though I sprayed as directed and with my eyes closed. But i persisted because I liked the product itself. It is really refreshing on skin and after awhile any irritation went away completely so it is now my daily!
Tips: Apply before moisturizer and throughout the day to help cool you down
Smells amazing and so nice and cool! I use it after my morning workouts and I look forward to it every time because it is so refreshing. It lasts ages as you only need a couple sprays and it's quite a large bottle. I also use it to refresh my makeup throughout the day and it works very well and doesn't cause makeup to smudge.
This is a nice and refreshing toner. I always seem to miss my face whenever I spray it or I drench my face way too much trying to target areas I missed! A way around this is by spritzing this into the palm of my hands and patting it into my face. This technique is also good for avoiding the eyes and lips. This does sting a bit if I don't close my eyes tight enough when spritzing. And I like to avoid this on my lips as the taste is very bitter. I do like how this is multi-purpose but for my minimal skincare, I don't reach for this product that often. I don't wear a lot of makeup to use this for a setting spray. And I forget to use this as a toner a lot of the times. But for other people's skincare, I can see how this could be a necessity!
Tips: Spritz onto palms and pat into your skin
