I bought these last Christmas, half price at Farmers. (Gotta love those Farmers sales!)
I have thick unruly hair, that sort of mushrooms if I leave it un-styled.
These heat up fast - and you can select a temperature between 160 (I think!) and 230. For the first time ever, I don't need to use the hottest setting! I find the 200 more than strong enough to straighten my hair - and keep it straight through the day.
These are easy to use, there's no snagging hair where the plate joins the casing. The digital display is easy to read.
The only thing I don't like is the placement of the on/off button - I do occasionally tap the straighteners off, but that's something I should probably learn not to do!
All up these are a great straightener at such a good price - well worth it!
I recently purchased this for $99 which I was very happy with. I chose it as I have thin full hair and didn't want something to damaging. It is very light weight which at first seemed weird but now it's great. It comes in a very attractive bronzey gold colour. It has a temperature range of 150 - 230. I'd prefer it went a little lower but I'm very glad it does have a range. It seems to work very well at straightening etc (haven't tried curling with it). My only issue it seems to grip my hair a little even though it's it's well brushed and smooth ... So I have to be quite gentle
