Lady Jayne Salon Pro Rechargeable Volumising Hot Brush

First impression was how lite it felt. Absolutely love that it's portable. On a bad hair day or a humid day you can pop it in your handbag and quickly restyle on the go. Quick and easy to use. It made my hair feel volumised and shaped around my face. Love this tool!

The packaging for this product is attractive and sleek. The design of the brush itself is pretty, sleek, and not overly cumbersome.

After charging the Lady Jayne Salon Pro Rechargeable Volumising Hot Brush for the initial 3 hour period I got to work on my hair. I found that using this product definitely takes some trial, error and practice. There are minimal instructions for guidance to help you learn along the way.

With long hair, and being a beginner at using the product, I did find the 25 minutes of cordless power to be a stretch to finish my entire hair.

It is great to be able to pop this in my bag for styling touch ups throughout the day, however I found a couple of obstacles with this. 1. You need to ensure you’ve charged it (about 2 1/2 hours) since last using, otherwise you may run out of battery. 2. While the product isn’t massively bulky it is certainly bigger than my standard hairbrush. I therefore found I needed to take a bigger bag with me on the days where I wanted to take it as it would not fit in my smaller everyday bag.

Once you get the hang of using the Lady Jayne Salon Pro Rechargeable Volumising Hot Brush it is worth the effort. Just give yourself some learning time when you first get it and you’ll have lovely volumised style on the go.

I was really excited to try this. Cordless and 80% increase in volume? Yes please! The Cordless feature is great and it does charge very quickly, but unfortunately that's where the positives ended for me. I definitely didn't get an 80% increase in volume, more like 10 to 15%. It was also quite time consuming, so not worth the time and effort for such a small increase in volume. The worst part was that the brush kept getting stuck in my hair, and at one point it got so stuck I practically had to rip parys of my hair out to get it unstuck. I've got very long, fine hair, so Maybe if you've got short hair or are used to styling with a roller brush you'll have more luck. But unfortunately this product isn't for me

I was so excited to trial this! I am absolutely useless at styling my hair. I don't own any heat styling products besides a hair dryer which I use to literally just dry my hair. I don't know how to do a blow dry or style even with a hairdryer so this was definitely a steep learning curve.

My hair kept getting tangled the first few times while using it. I definitely felt had a lot of trial and error, especially since I know nothing about styling my hair. Once I learnt how to use the brush, I really loved the results! My hair was smooth and shiny, my natural waves were enhanced, and it had volume in all the right places.

I like that it is quite portable, and each charge allows it to last around 30 minutes.

So a few tips if you are a hair beginner like me: 1. The brush needs to point DOWN. Whenever I pointed it up, my hair always got stuck. 2. Only the barrel gets hot. The brush tips don't, so I would curl it along the barrel and hold the brush for a few seconds. 3. Use less hair for each section first otherwise it will tangle easily

I've still only managed to style about half my hair because I am that useless but I am keen to keep learning how to use it and get that effortless blow out look on hair wash days and try to prolong them until the next wash.

The Lady Jayne Salon Pro Rechargeable Volumizing Hot Brush size and style overall is nice. But I think there is room for improvement. The tool itself does not last very long battery-wise: trying to style a whole head of hair is quite difficult with the short time span that’s given from the battery life. It was also unfortunate that you could not use the tool whilst it was charging, meaning that you had a maximum of 25 or so minutes to use it until you had to put it to charge again for more than two hours. I think the box could have also come with an additional accessory such as a silicon mat or something to help prop the tool up. Given that it is a hairbrush, it was easy and relatively safe to have it charging directly flat on my table but finding a place for it to cool down before putting it away for storage proved difficult. The hot brush is unsafe to place flat down on my table after use, so finding a way to stand it up where it can cool off safely and minimize the risk of burning adjacent items was hard. I think that the instructions saying to have it on a medium setting was a little misleading. Personally, I have medium to thick hair and from trial and error, I found that I would only see some change in my hair if I had it set to the highest heat. So, I would recommend testing on more hair types and seeing if a change is needed to be made in the instructions.

Firstly how stylish does the packaging look. I love how it has it's own pocket to put away once you're done and finally how awesome is it being cordless. Wow, so amazing. First off, make sure you read the instructions and charge it fully before first use. Once its fully charged press the power button to select the temperature you require. It's great to have 3 different settings. Once the hot brush is at the selected temperature split your hair in to parts and brush your hair slowly. I did this a couple times just to ensure I was getting the most effect. You can either brush it straight, twirl, flicks, anything really. It's so easy to use. Im not very good when it comes to styling hair so I mainly brushed it to let my hair have a bit more volume. The brush glides through your hair very easily. It doesn't knot or anything. I found it gave my hair a nice shine after it making it look nice and healthy. The only issue I had was it just didnt keep the volume I was hoping for for very long but that could be me not applying the heat long enough. My hair is quite fine so I always find it hard to get some oomph in it. I will definitely keep using it as it's so easy to use and so convenient not having a cord attached. You can use it anywhere. Just once you're done with it, keep it in a safe place to cool down, then pack it away in its bag. Its so easy to store away too. It's not too bulky like some of the brushes you get. You could even fit it in your handbag if you have one like me. Highly recommend and will continue to use this and practice getting that extra volume.

I was really happy to get on this trial team as I have long flat hair so trying this was super exciting. I haven’t quite mastered it yet but I can see huge potential and I feel like it could become something I use daily. It really helps to smooth hair and it’s easy because it’s pretty light weight and has no cord. It did give my hair a nice blow out look which I really liked and it doesn’t feel like it’s super damaging which is nice. I didn’t notice heaps and heaps of volume but I do think once I’ve mastered it it’ll be better and also I do have long hair that is typically heavier.

For a very average person this brush is a little hard to use. It took multiple attempts to try and figure out how to use it properly. After clumsy fingers kept turning the brush off, due to placement of the on/off button, I was able to get more volume from my hair but it did give me a slightly weird flick on the ends of my hair. The product doesn't indicate when it is up to temperature and doesn't hold charge for very long. It is light weight and easy to hold and I guess once you figure out how to use it properly it will be a great accessory for anyone wanting a little more volume in their hair.
