Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer Review

This smells absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD! The single most delicious smelling product I have ever used, It also cuts drying time in half which is absolutely awesome as I have a lot of hair but that's where it ends for me.It leaves my hair kinda crispy and quite frizzy (almost like I've put mousse in dry) and I feel a film on the strands which is really difficult to brush out. This film also seems to set quite matte, so my hair looks dull when I use this. I wanted to love it (coz holy heck it really does smell good and it does dry your hair super quick) but my hair just didn't agree with it. I still use it, but only when I know I am going to be shoving my hair into a bun. If I'm going out, I give it a miss and just allow myself extra blow dry time. I also didn't find it kept my style over night or anything like that, but i didn't expect that with my thick, unruly hair.

As an ex hairdressing apprentice, this product would be our go to before a blowdry! It helps to protect the hair from heated appliances but also speeds up the drying process.

A pink plastic see through bottle with a pump top, nice and easy see through so I can see how much do this murky coloured spray is left. If you don't shake it the liquid in the bottle sits split like water and oil so shake. Fragrance is an like an old fashioned cheap perfume scent not the nicest of scent but till I actually sniffed this I didn't realise it had scent.

Recommend by my hairdresser as my hair's a bit fragile and I'm a dab hand at wielding the hair dryer all the time, waving it with its hot air blasting all over my fragile hair frizzling it up while drying it out.I was told 3 to 4 pumps that's all too much would make my hair feel heavy, weigh it down way too much.

I've been drying my hair on the cool setting with three pumps of this blow dry potion through my hair, well my hair dries nice way less frizzy with a really soft silky feel, drying time is way less than what it used to be using this spray. My hair lives with this, it has come alive with some bounce softness and shine. I have no idea why I haven't ever used this before. As I hardly need to use very much oh this will last, value for sure.

I recently brought the Remington hair dryer Queen Marilyn recommended not long ago. I love it so much it inspired me to buy a few hair products, which is something I don't tend to over indulge in, I much rather spend on cosmetics!

I don't know what led me to this Redken product. I didn't read reviews and I hadn't heard about this product before, I literally was looking online and came across it on a site in the hair department. The pink packaging caught my eye and the words 'Blowdry Primer'.... Well I love primer on my face, so why not my hair!

So while I was in Palmerston North recently I popped into a salon that stocked Redken and grabbed a bottle. I was so excited to try it!

After washing my hair, I used my tangle teezer to detangle then sprayed this down the length of my damp hair. First impression was of course the smell! Eww! I can't even describe it.... I honestly can't. But it doesn't linger and I couldn't smell any trace of it once dry. Thank goodness!

Now, this new hair dryer I mentioned is pretty magical in itself, but this product actually did cut the time in half. My hair also felt really soft as well. I do feel it protects your hair. For reference, I have a lot of hair and it is half way down my back. I lighten my ends so they are prone too damage. I havent timed myself but I'm guessing it takes 5-10minutes to blowdry, with this spray.

I can see this will last a while too, the nozzle sprays evenly and nicely.

Besides the smell I love this product! Will definitely recommend it and be repurchasing!

I will never blow wave my hair again without this! It actually does make my hair dry faster, and my feels stronger since ive started using it. It smells like candy. I have quite fine straight hair and a lot of products can be to heavy or make my hair feel dirty. But this product is light and makes my hair shiny and weightless. Love it !
