I wasn’t planning on buying this little gem but I stumbled across Argania liquid gold – light – for fair and fine hair which is just what my hair is, fine (long) and blonde. I have been dubious about oils before, I adore them on my face and body but having naturally blonde hair often means oils and products make my hair look greasy or dull but this was designed for me ! .
I only got a small bottle of this to test out before commiting to the bigger one so the 20ml comes in a little brown glass bottle with a black screw top lid. Nothing terribly fancy but similar to most oither oil type products.
The instructions say to apply a small amount to palms through to ends on damp or dry hairIt does have a slight fragrance to me it smells like it has a hint of vanilla and a slight scent similar to my rosehip oil but its very faint so even those who don’t like products with fragrance like myself can still enjoy it. . I decided to try this on damp hair first s it just feels more safe. I took a very small amount about the size of a pea or maybe a tiny bit larger and rubbed in my palms to heat up a little and spread throughout my hair from just above midlengths to ends and stayed away from my roots.
It has a very light consistency one of the lightest oils I have come across, it feels on your hand like it might be a bit greasy but its not at all. It absorbed very well and quickly into my hair. My hair thoroughly soaked it in and there was no greasy residue left on my palm – bonus.
Once my hair had dried there was no sign of greasyness or dullness which is the problem I’ve had with previous hair oils. I have problems with flyaways due to my hair being so fine and this smoothed those right away and gave my hair a lovely healthy shine to it.
This did exactly as it said for my hair it made my hair feel hydrated, healthy and shiny. I will definitely be buying again when this runs out - although you only need such a small amount you wont need to replace to often.
I would definitely recommend for those with finer flyaway hair or fairer hair that cant handle the stronger oils.
After spending weeks researching hair oils I was still unable to make a decision on which one to purchase, so ignored the reviews and went straight to the ingredients list. The Argania Liquid Gold hair oil surpasses every other hair oil when it comes to ingredients. It features almond oil, argan oil, jojoba oil, macademia nut oil, apricot oil and evening primrose oil, and these aren’t at the end of the ingredients list. A lot of other hair ‘oils’ feature no natural oils.
This nourishing formula comes in a glass bottle with a pump. This was a big positive for me as I’ve used hair oils in the past where you have to pour it into your hand. The pump doesn’t provide too much product (in fact, I use 3-4 pumps for my long, dry and damaged hair). To use this product I pump it into my hand and then smooth it into wet or dry hair. Because my hair is so dry and damaged, I really can’t go overboard with the oil. It spreads easily and has a beautiful vanilla scent. It absorbs well and I even rub it over my hands after. The end result is significantly smoother, shinier hair that is more manageable. After using this oil my dry, blonde hair looks healthier and, well, happier. Whilst this product isn’t repairing hair as such, it is smoothing out frizz and nourishing my poor locks. This is my favourite hair product and I will definitely be repurchasing.
Tips: Pump out a little extra and smooth it over your dry hands.
