This Sunsilk Vibrant Colour Protection Shampoo is one of the best affordable shampoos on the market, you can pick it up for $2.50 - $3.50 and a bottle lasts a few weeks. I have dyed hair and when i'm not using a purple shampoo, conditioner or a toner I used the Sunsilk Colour protection shampoo + conditioner duo in between. It works great, helps keep my hair looking silky, fresh and doesn't strip colour or leave my hair looking straw- like as I have had that problem in the past. It also smells AMAZING, I wish they'd release this scent it is gorgeous. Has been a regular purchase for 4/5 year now and will always be.

Tips: Great for use in between washes using purple shampoo, conditioner or toners.
I've been using this for a few months as I have recently been a vibrant red & then switched back to Chocolate about 9 weeks ago. I got this in the hope that it would help to prolong the red & I'm too cheap to buy salon Shampoo.
I'm a bit disappointed to be honest but not surprised. I really did expect it to fail on the colour lasting effects- after all it is Sunsilk- I've never experienced miracles from any of their products.
Don't get me wrong here... I'm not bagging Sunsilk. I actually like their products as they're affordable, the Shampoo & Conditioners always smell lovely & they do a good job of cleaning my hair, they just don't deliver on the particulars like lasting colour or longer & stronger hair...
The product is fairly standard shampoo consistency. You don't need heaps of it to get a good lather going. It washes out easily, leaving my hair clean. The bottle is a good size, easy to hold, I would just prefer a flat lid as this one is angled and you can't sit it upside down.
I purchased this along with the conditioner on special at countdown and I had to try it especially when my hair colour is bright red at the moment. The consistency is nice and thick and its easy to get just the rite amount out, but I would prefer if the lid was flat so I could tip it upside down to grey every last drop out but a little definatly does go a long way even when i do shampoo my hair 2 times before useing conditioner. It has a nice sent to the product not too over powering like I find some shampoos. I found it did seam to protect my colour a bit and i could hold off a bit longer I between colours which was great
Tips: Use both the shampoo and conditioner for maximum results
I had just dyed my hair a beautiful red colour and I needed a shampoo and conditioner with colour protection technology. This was on special and the red containers stood out on the supermarket shelves.
The container is shower friendly and stood upright and the lid was easy to open with wet hands. The shampoo texture being a medium thickness and a pinky colour that looks slightly shimmery. I liked the smell of the shampoo, slightly sweet but not over powering and it lathers up nicely.
I used this shampoo up fairly quickly around 4-5 weeks as my hair is quite long and to get a good clean I needed a reasonable amount of shampoo. The container was also slightly smaller then I am use to being 200mls not 250mls.
It did clean my hair reasonably well and didn't leave my hair feeling greasy but I felt let down on the colour protection which was the whole reason I brought the shampoo in the first place. I could see the colour washing down the drain and it was visible on the towel I used to help dry my hair. So I would not recommend this shampoo.
Along with the conditioner, I got this on special at the supermarket. Nice red bottle, flip top cap, easy to open. My hair had foils put into it, so I decided to purchase a shampoo and conditioner especially for treated hair. This shampoo has a nice fragrance, not too strong, thick creamy formula, did not need to use a lot, just a palmful. My hair was left looking shiny, smooth and smelling nice. If you want a cost-effective shampoo and conditioner for treated hair, I would recommend this.
Tips: Use only a little, depending on hair length. Look for this at the supermarket and the Warehouse, quite often on special.
