This blond mask comes in a dark plastic bottle with purple Essano labelling and has a top with a flip opener which makes the product easy to access. It is a thick purple product with no scent.
My hair is very fine so I don't use shampoo, instead using only conditioner or a mask. This stops it from being frizzy and fly-away. I tried this product by applying it to dry hair and massaging it around my hair, with the express intention of reducing the yellowing. It grabbed the purple very quickly and strongly so I didn't leave it any longer than the recommended 3 minutes, which I would have done if my hair was wet to start with. It has reduced the yellowing very well and my hair feels soft and clean. Given I applied it to dry hair, it didn't actually stain either.
I must note that the recommendation is not to use it after a purple shampoo but you can use a non-purple shampoo prior to applying it, though I wouldn't, and I didn't need to.
The product claim is that it will reduce brassiness and leave hair bright and hydrated and it certainly does do that.
It is a very good product at a great price and I recommend trying it for white or blonde hair.
There's always something exciting about trying a new 'blonde' hair treatment, although this one was actually rather disappointing. While it smells really good, it did very little for me, other than staining my fingernails. It claims to reduce brassy tones (which it kind of did, but anything with a hint of blue/purple can do that) to restore moisture and give me shiny hair. Unfortunately it left my hair so dull. I ended up having to give my hair a deep condition the following day. I followed the directions, shampoo first and then apply and leave for 3minutes. Even as I washed it out I could feel my hair wasn't moisturised as it claimed. I tried it a few times with different shampoo beforehand, but I got the same result. Didn't work for me.
