Garnier Fructis Full & Luscious Shampoo Review

Okay so when I received these I made the mistake of leaving them out in the bathroom and not popping into the shower like I should have.

Instead what happened is the MR got hold of them and thought I had bought him new shampoo (I tend to rage when he uses my expenny stuff lol). He was SUPER stoaked since they smelled so good - except his hair is the literal opposite of fine and needing volume. He has this ridiculous crop of thick luscious straight italian hair that makes me so jealous.

Anyway this got a thumbs up from him!

When I finally got round to using the shampoo I really put it to the test. 3 days of oil build up and dry shampoo is a lot to ask of any shampoo and I like to make sure that it really cleanses to get it all out. I usually do a double cleanse to be extra sure.

This lathered really really well and my hair was fairly clean after (god did it smell good too). But that's likely due to all the SLS in the shampoo - which is fine but i'm trying to inch away from using it so much.

My hair felt clean and airy after the shampoo and ready for the conditioner. A good prep!

I currently use a volumising shampoo so I was interested to see how Garnier's version would fare.

The shampoo lathers up nicely and the scent starts off smelling like berries but then just leaves a very sweet smell that lasts for days but it isn't overpowering.

I only got 3 washes in the allowed trial time but wash 1 and 2 gave me no fullness at all so for wash 3 I ditched the conditioner and used double the amount of shampoo I would normally use and I feel like I noticed some volume but not enough to make this worth purchasing.

The shampoo smells delicious (fruity and fresh) and comes in a fun pink bottle. The bottle has a secured lid (great for travel) and is a great size for shower caddies.

The shampoo lathers well but is quite drying. It did leave me with clean and great smelling hair but unfortunately for me - I didn't notice any extra volume or fullness.

I was very impressed by this shampoo. The first thing that hit me was the lovely smell. I love a product that has a divine smell as it really wakes me up in the morning. It had a really great lather and my hair did feel thoroughly cleaned afterwards. I didn't feel I needed to use a lot either which probably means it would last quite a while.

The reason why the Garnier Fructis full and luscious works so well is because this beautiful smelling shampoo, with natural pomegranate extract, cleans hair really well, but without drying it out. This was such a treat to use, and in combination with the conditioner, It left my hair lusciously thick and soft to the touch after the first wash. The bottle is so easy to use, and adds a splash of colour to my bathroom.

I received this shampoo as part of a BR trial team. I straight away was struck at how nice and bright the pink bottles were. They had images of pomegranate on them but I don't feel as though the shampoo smells particularly fruity.

The bottles fit nicely on the shelf in my shower which I really appreciate. The shampoo itself is a nice consistency and has a decent lather. I felt as though it made my hair a little dry though. While my hair was wet (before conditioning) it felt like it might be thicker but it's not easy to tell with wet hair.

I don't think I'll be repurchasing. I didn't like the way it made my hair feel dry in the shower and makes me concerned about damage.

I was part of a trial team testing the Full & Luscious Shampoo and Conditioner. The two 250ml bottles are bright, deep pink in colour which makes me think luscious already. The amount in the bottles is a general sized shampoo and conditioner bottle. They each have click close lids shampoo lid at the top of the bottle, and conditioner with the lid at the bottom of the bottle so you can distinguish which is which (if you have a good memory). They both have a pea sized opening which allowed me to control the amount of liquid I needed which I liked.

The Garnier hair care range has a very noticeable scent which they always have had, this is the scent which I recognize, fruity like apples, yet sweetly perfumed as well. I enjoyed how the scent lingered on my hair for up to two days after washing.

My hair type is fine, blonde balayage coloured, chest length hair which is cut very bluntly. I find myself have no natural volume, but my hair is naturally straight. The first time I used it I could notice a difference already for my fine hair, it looked fuller and the hair near my scalp/head feeled more volumised! Very impressed. I felt like I only needed a 50cent piece sized amount of shampoo as it easily lathered and spread throughout my scalp. I used my fingers to gently massage my scalp for about a minute then washed it out, it left my hair/scalp feeling cleansed but not dry or 'squeaky clean' like others do. It left my natural hair oils at the base of my head which I like. After I gave my hair a quick towel dry or used the hair dryer my hair felt voluminous and thicker! For a girl with dead straight fine hair, I was absolutely stoked!

Overall I really like the look it gave me, it certainly has the right ingredients to give me that 'Full & Luscious' look. I could have given it a full 5, but because of the lack of shine I received from the conditioner I could only it give it 4.

This is hands down my new favourite shampoo. I only need to use a little bit to get lots of lather and it smells gorgeous. After washing out, my hair feels 100% clean, full and fresh. It doesn't strip the oils from my scalp and I can go longer without needing to wash my hair. Overall, highly recommended for daily use and all hair types (especially thin hair!)

Garnier Fructis Full & Luscious Shampoo was an interesting experiment and one I was happy to be part of. Initially I tried the shampoo as part of the matching set and was very happy with the results. Then I used it alone, with a regular conditioner and it wasn't so great. It just seemed like an average shampoo. Maybe a LITTLE extra texture, but mostly it didn't seem to do anything particularly special.

On my head of very short hair, I only need a 10 cent blob to get good coverage. It lathers easily, and washes out quickly also. The scent on the shampoo is sweeter and more natural smelling than the conditioner, but essentially they both match. While this product has no parabens, it does still have the sodium lauryl and laureth sulphates, so I wouldn't buy this over a shampoo containing no irritants. Other than that, it's a satisfactory shampoo, and you'll really like this if you cheapie delicious scented shampoos.

I really enjoy the strong, sweet and fruity scent of Garnier shampoos and this product certainly delivers in that area. I also find the pretty pink bottle quite uplifting. In terms of effectiveness, it does a great job of cleaning the hair and leathers up well without much product required. Unfortunately though, I failed to notice my hair having any extra fullness after using it. It actually felt a tad on the dry side.
