Lady Jayne Salon Pro Rechargeable Straightening Brush

I loved the idea of this - finally a hair straightening tool for on the go and cordless! The brush itself looks great, it’s sleek and feels high quality. It is light to hold and size wise certainly fits the brief for a travel brush. When it came to actually using the brush I was a little disappointed - it didn’t really seem to do anything. I have long thick hair and do wonder if it would be better suited to shorter hairstyles. It didn’t glide through my hair very well and there wasn’t a huge amount of information on the box. I look forward to reading everyone else’s reviews as perhaps it is more user error.

I was surprisingly impressed with the results this straightening brush could give! I'd never really heard of a straightening brush before receiving this, so it was a new concept for me.

It's not going to give you super straight hair like you can achieve with proper hair straighteners, but it sure did tidy up my wavy hair and made easy work of straightening out the annoying bump line I get in my hair when I've had it tied up for a long time.

Pros: - has 5 heat settings to choose from (120°C/140°C/160°C/180°C/200°C) - heats up/ready to use within ~30 seconds - a lot easier to hold & use than regular straightening irons when doing both sides of your own hair - I didn't burn myself even ONCE! (I have a long history of accidentally burning fingers/scalp with hair irons) - it's lightweight, I think it even weighs less than my phone - it's wireless and compact, meaning I can throw it in my work bag and fix my hair before leaving work

Cons: I couldn't really think of any downsides to this brush. There's only really one feature I did wish it had, an ability to lock it from being accidentally turned on. If for whatever reason something pressed on the on/off button while it's in my handbag or work bag and I didn't notice, I'd hate to know what damage that would do to anything in my bag...

The lady Jayne Salon Pro Rechargeable Straightening Brush first impresses with a sleek modern design of black with gold detailing. It comes with a usb charging cord which can be plugged into either a laptop or a usb wall charger. Lady Jane suggested that the initial charge should be for 3 hours. On subsequent charging it takes less time. It is easy to start and has a range of temperatures which is handy as you can select the temperature best suited to your hair type. The lights indicate when the temperature has been reached with the lights staying on rather than flashing. It heats up relatively quickly. Having coarse hair, I opted for the highest temperature. I found it ran through my hair easily although I had made sure I had brushed my hair first as recommended by Lady Jayne. While it certainly calmed my hair down I would not say it “straightened” it per se. For this I would probably continue to use my straightener. My hair however is particularly difficult to manage and control so someone with more manageable hair would inevitably find straightening much more effective with this tool. I also suspect this would work really well on someone with shorter hair ( mine is mid back and thick). What I did love so much about this hair tool was that it was fantastic for styling and refreshing my fringe and smoothing the flyaways. One of the best features of this hair tool is that it is cordless and compact. It comes with a cute velvet carry bag that you can literally pop in your handbag. This makes refreshing your hair on the go an easy option. I love this aspect of the tool and as a result I will definitely continue to use it alongside my usual straightener.

I have pretty fine hair, mostly straight but the front pieces get a bit wavy and it does frizz up. I was excited to try this because I feel like I have a hair type it will work on. One disappointment for me was a three hour charge time, but only 30 minute run time. There was no fast charge optioned Normal straighteners tend to remove a lot of volume for me, so I liked that this product didn’t. I could brush my hair in a different direction and keep the natural volume I had. I kept it on quite a low temperature and it definitely smoothed my fly aways but it was a different story when it came to “straightening”. I think it’s more of a smoothing brush; than a straightening brush. On the higher temperatures it definitely straightened more; but i could do the same thing with my straightener. I was more impressed with the lower temperatures and smoothing that it did.

I don't often use a straighter because I never have the time to do it but I was so excited to try out this brush. I'll admit i didnt even know there was such a thing as a straightening brush. I thought this was awesome! Super convenient size and the fact that it's rechargeable is even better. It heated up really quickly and worked wonders on the frizzy bits. My hair is wavy so can become frizzy so easily! My sister has straighter hair than I do and also really enjoyed using it. Perfect for those like me that are a bit slack with doing their hair in the morning!!

I was extremely excited to give this a go, as I have seen many variations of this going around!! I was drawn to it because it heats up quickly and is easily portable. The size of it is pretty much the same size as a normal hair brush, it fits easily and nicely into my hand and so it’s easy to pop into a bag or bring for an overnight stay. It’s also lighter than I thought, so very easily portable. It does come with a carry bag which was a nice touch and a USB charger. The feel of the brush is nice, it’s not plastic-y and has a soft but grippy feel. The bristles are plastic, with ceramic plates on top and bottom and there are some softer/more bendy bristles without ceramic plates around the outside. The non-beatable bristles around the outside are great as it makes it far less likely that you’ll burn yourself. To charge the first time, it says 3 hours, which was accurate, so really quick! It’s got 5 different heat settings and heats up very quickly (advertised at 90sec and this was accurate) so super easy when you’re on the go! The actual performance of the straightening brush- I personally found this didn’t really work for me unfortunately. I do have thick and long hair, and it’s not massively curly but is mostly straight-ish and a bit wavy, and the ends don’t sit straight. I tried very small sections and found that I had to run the brush through several times, and still it didn’t come out as straight as I would have expected. I still had to use a straighter over this, especially the ends to get my hair straight. I also found that I had to use the highest heat (200deg), otherwise it looked no different. I thought this would be great to quickly straighten the bits I needed to, especially the ends and the top layer of my hair, however because I had to use very small sections, this ended up taking longer and I didn’t get the result I was after. This also claims to fight frizz, I honestly can’t say I noticed any difference. All in all, while this is great for travel/on the go and portability (small, easy to charge, heats up quickly), for me, it didn’t really straighten or help to style my hair at all. I would still choose my usual straightener over this. Perhaps someone with thinner hair or short hair or a fringe, it may be more suitable.

I have been wanting a portable straightening brush for so long so was stoked to be picked to review. The Lady Jayne Salon Pro Rechargeable Straightening Brush is quite sleek and small so easily fits in a handbag on the go, but don't let the size fool you! So handy how it has a USB charger so can literally charge it anywhere.

After following the guide to set the temp to 120-140 for blonde/fine hair I gave it a go and was pleasantly surprised. It made my hair quite smooth and defrizzed, not quite the same dead straight hair I would get from a normal straightener but definitely still straight and pretty close. The bonus also being a brush and straightener all in one so need to have to carry a brush as well, there is also lower risk of getting hands burnt touching the straightener as the straightening plates sit in the inside bristles.

This is definitely a game changer, now I can fix my hair from my car before heading into the office so everyday can be a good hair day. Love!

I feel like this brush would be amazing for people with shorter hair who just want a quick smoothing styling who can’t get in there with a normal straightener. It also worked well on my partners beard to smooth and straighten so that’s a bonus. I don’t feel like it gives long hair that poker straight feel like straightening irons but it definitely smooths it out

Was selected for the trial, thank you BR. First thoughts: I was impressed by the look of it. Doesn't feel nor look flimsy. The black packaging looks quite sleek. Came with a small instruction guide and USB charger cable. (Note: does not come with the wall plug. I used a charger that met the voltage recommendation)

Imstruction guide advised to leave it on charge for 3 hours before first use which I did. There are two buttons on the front. The smaller one of the two to turn it on/off. The other to change the heat setting. Heat setting range 160 - 200 degrees. Heats within 90 seconds.

I blow waved my hair then went through with this straightening brush. Didn't give me perfectly straight hair but did tame the frizzies. Which is fine as I wanted this in order to have a more polished look which I did get. Still yet to test how well the result is on pre proper straightened hair.

Couldn't have used it for more than 15-20 mins max. Went to use it for touch up the next day and it was completely flat. I would have thought for a 3 hour charge it would have a use time of atleast an hour and a half. I have a theory behind this though. Maybe it's a heat setting related thing? Due to my hair type and length (long & wavy) I used the 180 setting. Maybe this contributed, used more power?

I have yet to take it out of the house and out and about with me. But I love that it is portable, is wireless, is rechargeable and would easily fit in a decent size handbag or overnight bag. The only con so far is the duration of charge, how long the charge holds to how many uses I get.

Will be continuing to test this out and update review in a couple of months after further use.

This product is easy to use, compact and certainly fits within a hand bag. My only concern is that it remains quite hot for some time post use, so a heat proof case would be a welcome addition. I love that this product is portable and cordless, meaning that you can use it anywhere (providing that it is charged). The product did tame fly aways and my hair felt soft post use. It did smooth out hair, not as effective as a straightener, but worked nonetheless. I like the five temperature setting, which meant that you could cater to your own individual hair.
