A total win!

I use this oil as a daily leave in conditioner. Right out of the shower, I like to put this on my hair. It acts as an excellent detangler. I have really long black hair and just two drops are enough. I bought a 100 ml bottle 5 months ago and I have been using this oil daily and still half the bottle is remaining. So, I feel its quite economical. It is not 100 percent argan oil, but actually a mix of different oils including sweet almond, jojoba, macademia, primrose and carrot oil and it is paraben free too.The consistency of oil is light and you don't actually feel that you have applied any oil on hair as you use just a drop or two. After using this oil for 5 months, I feel my hair are a lot more healthier and shinier. All the split ends have gone. I use it as a heat protectant as well. I use a straightener or a curling iron once a week and just before that I apply this oil. And the heat doesn't damage my hair. So, its a total win, win and win!

Argania Liquid Gold - light

I wasn’t planning on buying this little gem but I stumbled across Argania liquid gold – light – for fair and fine hair which is just what my hair is, fine (long) and blonde. I have been dubious about oils before, I adore them on my face and body but having naturally blonde hair often means oils and products make my hair look greasy or dull but this was designed for me ! .

I only got a small bottle of this to test out before commiting to the bigger one so the 20ml comes in a little brown glass bottle with a black screw top lid. Nothing terribly fancy but similar to most oither oil type products.

The instructions say to apply a small amount to palms through to ends on damp or dry hairIt does have a slight fragrance to me it smells like it has a hint of vanilla and a slight scent similar to my rosehip oil but its very faint so even those who don’t like products with fragrance like myself can still enjoy it. . I decided to try this on damp hair first s it just feels more safe. I took a very small amount about the size of a pea or maybe a tiny bit larger and rubbed in my palms to heat up a little and spread throughout my hair from just above midlengths to ends and stayed away from my roots.

It has a very light consistency one of the lightest oils I have come across, it feels on your hand like it might be a bit greasy but its not at all. It absorbed very well and quickly into my hair. My hair thoroughly soaked it in and there was no greasy residue left on my palm – bonus.

Once my hair had dried there was no sign of greasyness or dullness which is the problem I’ve had with previous hair oils. I have problems with flyaways due to my hair being so fine and this smoothed those right away and gave my hair a lovely healthy shine to it.

This did exactly as it said for my hair it made my hair feel hydrated, healthy and shiny. I will definitely be buying again when this runs out - although you only need such a small amount you wont need to replace to often.

I would definitely recommend for those with finer flyaway hair or fairer hair that cant handle the stronger oils.

Tips: A little bit really goes a long way

Liquid Gold

I found this little gem when I was browsing the aisle in Farmers during Beauty Week. I am a huge sucker for anything that's meant to make my hair beautiful - but I have never found an oil that I like, they always seem to be too heavy and greasy and just make my hair look like it needs a wash! I have long hair and a LOT of it - it's been coloured and lightened and stripped and straightened so it does need a fair bit of love.

I purchased the small 20ml bottle to start off with, it was only $5.99 and because of the small amount you need it will last quite a while - the perfect way to see if it works for you before making a big investment.

The instructions are fairly straight forward, a small amount into your hands and then apply to the mid-lengths and ends of hair when damp. Leave to absorb for a minute and then style as normal. Even though I have a heap of hair, I still only need a small amount - about the size of a peanut M&M. I rub my hands together first to warm the oil and to help get an even spread through my hair, I always use on damp hair because it seems to absorb more readily than on dry hair. I was really amazed at how quickly it does absorb, and it doesn't leave an awful greasy residue on my hands like some other oils have.

Once my hair dries, it looks gorgeous - not oily but really soft with a hint of shine and totally natural. I actually look like I have healthy hair!

Tips: Using too much is a waste - it doesn't absorb as well and can be a bit too heavy. Try the small bottle first, it's a really economical way to see if you like it without costing the earth.

Absolute Liquid Gold!

Oh My Gosh! This stuff absolutely lives up to its name. I have ombre hair so the lightening of the ends can be pretty traumatic, and this product has helped SO much.

I first got some samples in a goodie box and from the first use it was love. the minute my samples ran out i went and purchased a full sized bottle. It has a faint vanilla type smell to this product but nothing overpowering. It has other oils such as almond, macadamia, jojoba oils as well as the argania oil. I feel this helps the amazingness of this product.

the packaging is great and I believe pretty good for price going on the size of the bottle ($35 for 100mls) seeing as you only need a small amount to go through your hair. I love that the bottle has a pump on it so that you can better regulate how much product comes out and less wastage.

Now I use this after each wash while my hair is still wet, before heat treatment and sometimes on dry hair inbetween washes. No matter how I use it, it makes my hair feel amazing, soft and smooth and has gotten rid of that chewy ends feeling you get with lightened hair. it is also very lightweight, so it does not make your hair feel oily or heavy and it just absorbs in making everything it touches beautiful, (even my hands) I have very long hair (that is extremely important to me) and this has helped the snapping of those pesky split ends and helped with needing less trimmed off at hair cut time.

Basically I highly highly recommend this product and will 100% be repurchasing.

Tips: If you have quite long hair you may need a couple of pumps to go right through. It does absorb beautifully.

Hair Oil

I purchased this before the colour run as they suggested using a hair oil to prevent colour sticking to my hair. I purchased the light and feel it does an ok job. When I compare it to the Joico or Kerestase product this is much lighter.

I do like this product but I prefer the salon items as I feel they have a better result. Especially when price wise this product isn't the cheapest either!

When I use this I used it as a mask for my hair. It smells divine and covers quite well. It's not greasy and leaves the hair with a lovely sheen. It's good to smooth over flyaways on the top of the head. It's also good for everyday use.

Why so expensive!?

YAAAAASSSS. This product is my heaven in a bottle, or in my case, little sachet. I received 4 samples of this in my last Goodiebox, and it was probably the best thing in the box. I've since used all my samples up, and as much as I love it, I haven't ventured out to buy more because of the price tag.

The serum is clear, from memory, and has a really nice vanilla smell to it. I used small dollops of it through the ends of my hair and to get the hair that goes crazy. It worked like a charm. I used it mostly in wet hair, and when my hair dried it was crazy soft. The scent is absolutely gorgeous, like a light vanilla, I want to eat it!

I bleach parts of my hair on the regular, so my hair is often dry and really gross. This stuff fixed all my problems, my hair has never been as soft or healed as quickly. I also found that I could brush my hair through a lot nicer with less breakage when I used this.

EDIT: I have since purchased a full size bottle of this and I am still in love as the day we first saw each other. I'm in it for the long haul baby!

Mmmm maybe, I use it mainly on my ends but I run the leftovers over the top and it kinda works. I suggest getting a little one to try!! :-) (and it smells awesome!)

My Favourite Hair Product

After spending weeks researching hair oils I was still unable to make a decision on which one to purchase, so ignored the reviews and went straight to the ingredients list. The Argania Liquid Gold hair oil surpasses every other hair oil when it comes to ingredients. It features almond oil, argan oil, jojoba oil, macademia nut oil, apricot oil and evening primrose oil, and these aren’t at the end of the ingredients list. A lot of other hair ‘oils’ feature no natural oils.

This nourishing formula comes in a glass bottle with a pump. This was a big positive for me as I’ve used hair oils in the past where you have to pour it into your hand. The pump doesn’t provide too much product (in fact, I use 3-4 pumps for my long, dry and damaged hair). To use this product I pump it into my hand and then smooth it into wet or dry hair. Because my hair is so dry and damaged, I really can’t go overboard with the oil. It spreads easily and has a beautiful vanilla scent. It absorbs well and I even rub it over my hands after. The end result is significantly smoother, shinier hair that is more manageable. After using this oil my dry, blonde hair looks healthier and, well, happier. Whilst this product isn’t repairing hair as such, it is smoothing out frizz and nourishing my poor locks. This is my favourite hair product and I will definitely be repurchasing.

Tips: Pump out a little extra and smooth it over your dry hands.
