This dry shampoo works well to get rid of grease, with no annoying white residue to deal with. However if you do touch your hair, you might notice some brown tint on your fingers. I found it ran out quite quickly so haven't repurchased, but it did do what it said it would.

This is almost exactly the same as the original, but with one crucial difference... it's tinted. For greying girls like me this can help hide roots, plus it has the added benefit of - because it's not as starkly coloured, not needing to be brushed out *quite* so vigorously!
Like the original, you simply spray it on to your roots, and brush it through. Science happens (don't ask me what!) and the oil and 'wear' in your hair lifts and can be brushed out, leaving cleaner, less greasy locks behind.
The scent is quite strong, and powdery but doesn't linger badly as it doesn't actually cling to the hair - just give it a general residual freshness.
This product degreased my hair and gave it a little volume while helping hide greys. It's not holy grail but it's useful to have!
Tips: If you're using it to blend greys, then spray it closer to the visible grey, work it through, spritz the rest then brush out
I love the Batiste original dry shampoos and when I was sent a few more to trial (Thank you Batiste team) I could not wait to try a few more of the Dry shampoo range.
I had recently dyed my hair a medium brown colour so it was a great opportunity to give the Brunette dry shampoo a go.
There were a few things I learnt when using the Brunette version. Less is more, comparing it to the regular dry shampoo, you need to have a light finger, if you have a heavy hand it will create brown ashy type crumbs that begin to break away at your scalp. This happened to me the first few times I used this, when I eased off the pressure and applied it with small amounts at a time it left no ashy heavy residue and I didn't have to spend much time rubbing it in.
I found the formula of the Brunette dry shampoo heavier than the regular dry shampoo, so I use this once a week or for emergencies like last minute coffee dates, important meetings, that sort of thing. It is a great grey hair hider, I have a trail of grey streaks that always try to seek attention and spraying this helps hide them until I get around to retouching my roots.
The fragrance of this is quite strong, its a mixture of vanilla and floral scents, after you spray the roots the scent starts to disappear.
Overall I will be purchasing this in the future, it took a few gos to get used to the Brunette version but once I got the hang of it, I loved it!
Tips: Lightly spray the roots, apply to your grey parts to hide them until you redye your hair.
Definitely a step up for dark haired ladies, however I still found it looked slightly white. I didn't love it as much as I hoped, but certainly a better option for dark hair. It's also difficult to brush through, but once it's in it looks flawless. I also love the smell.
Tips: you gotta really brush this one through, otherwise you still get the telltale powder marks, sadly.
I was happy that to find that there might be a dry shampoo that works on dark hair… I found I could till see a faint grey tinge to my hair. I tried less the next time and it was nearly gone but didn’t leave my hair feeling fresh.
I am a big fan of the regular batiste dry shampoos, so I had high expectations from this and expected to get similar results. Well I did get similar results, however I didn't like the colour. I have black hair and thought that the brunette colour would be a good match (there was no black option). I found the colour to be a bit too light for my hair but it wasn't noticeable once rubbed in and it blended well into to my hair. The thing didn't like about the colour was that it rubbed off onto my hands when I was rubbing it into my hair, making me use more product because it kept coming off onto my hands. Whenever I touched my hair during the day (especially my roots) the colour would rub off again.
Similar to the regular batiste dry shampoo, it was easy to spray onto my hair and left my roots oil free. My roots felt fresh just like I had washed my hair. I thought the colour version of the dry shampoo would be an added bonus as I thought it would blend with my hair better. However, I actually prefer the normal version because it's less messy and is easier to blend and apply on my hair. I wouldn't buy this again, and will be sticking to the normal, uncoloured, version of dry shampoo.
I bought the Brunette version after being fed up with the white powder left behind on my hair with the standard Batiste dry shampoo. You can easily toussle or massage your hair to get rid of it but if you have dark hair you need to make sure it's all gone which is annoying when you're in a rush.
I enjoyed the Brunette version because there was only a faint ashy residue left behind which didn't require too much toussling to remove. It had a light warm scent (vanilla which I hate but bearable) which wasn't overpowering and helped keep my hair fresh. However there were 2 key things that I disliked about the product and are the main reasons why I didn't finish it and why I won't repurchase.
Product residue - I just wanted my hair to feel clean however whenever I used it I felt like I had a heap of hair products in my hair (day old mousse / gel etc). I don't put a lot of products in my hair because I hate that feeling. I prefer how the original feels in my hair it's lightweight as opposed to this one.
Tint - This is what drove me up the wall. It's designed for brunette for a reason because it sprays out brown powder. Argggh. I wouldn't have minded too much but it gets everywhere (it's a spray after all) and you can easily clean it off but if I'm rushing out the door?!
I think the product is good for styling because it feels like texturising powder but that's not why I purchased it for! I really wished this had worked for me but after a month of trialling I was done.
It's a fun product to try but it just doesn't work for my. Doesn't change the appearance of my hair but make it feel worse like putting hairspray in oily/dirty hair, just yuck. Wouldn't recommend to anyone
Very good dry shampoo! Volumising and hides grease. It also does not leave white residue but still need to rub it in for best results. Be careful around hair line as sometimes tinting is visible!
Tips: Use with head upside down!
