You spin me right round baby...

I still, cannot for the life of me, get these things to work. I've tried every angle possible and in the end I just get so angry with them I almost pull my hair out in an attempt to get them out.

I have tried using one, I have tried using all three spinners, but they just turn me into a spinner and I can't use them. I can get a very, very loose messy bun, but I like my buns a bit tight (hahaha), My hair still falls out, the spinners don't stay in place and I just get frustrated.

I think they're a cool idea in theory but really, just not for me. I'll stick to my trusty hair ties and regular bobby pins.

Maree and Julieal - I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I certainly feel a bit stupid for not being able to work them when everyone else is having great success!

"Tight buns" lol! Yeah I'm the same, I still haven't been able to make these work for me. I'm sticking with bobby pins, that is, when/if I can find them.

Oh dear me

I received these in the March Beauty Box. I really could not figure out what to do with them and I was worried I would end up with them stuck fast in my hair, or worse, a serious injury!

I do have hair slighty longer than shoulder length, and it's always tied up and clipped back, so I would have used them if I could have worked out how to.

In theory they sound like a good idea, but in reality? not for me!

I feel quite silly Rezee, because everyone else seems to have figured them out!!!

These intrigue me but I still can't figure out in my head how they work! I haven't bought any to try as I think it would be a waste if I couldn't use them.

Not for me

In theory these sound good having the strength of 20 bobby pins in one spinner. But unfortunately it doesn't work for my hair because it is too thin. They struggle to grip onto my hair and stay there. They also succeeded in making my hair very knotty. I can tell they would be great if you had thick long hair - so I shall be passing onto a friend with hair like that.

My Bobbypin friends

These were a nice little surprise in the March BRBB, when I first saw these I thought I probably wont use them. But I do like to try everything at least once. I don't know why these weren't invented earlier. I wear a bun quite regularly and by the end of the day its coming loose(sometimes by lunch). With these spinners it holds really well, it doesnt come out at all. Will be great to use for future up-do's. Easy to spin into place, a little harder for my clumsy fingers to get out(can't just pull it).

Great if you have a lot of hair

Bobby pins are necessity to me, any up-do requires them so this new and improved innovative design caught my interest.

These spinner pins function the same as regular bobby pins but they're much sturdier, they aren't flimsy and bendable like regular ones can be, in fact they are very strong you can't bend them out of shape if you try.

To put these in your hair you simply screw them in and screw them out to remove, they don't catch and tangle my hair as I thought they might. They hold a lot more hair than the average bobby pin, you need to get a good chunk of hair through the middle of the pin to keep it in place otherwise they fall out. These pins have about a 1cm diametre of space so if you have long and/or thick hair they could be very helpful, whereas if you have fine and/or very short hair they may not be much use to you.

The thing that I don't like about these is that the enamel coating eventually flakes and scratches off, revealing the silver tone metal underneath. I generally chuck my bobby pins when they get to that stage, it's not a big deal when you can buy a mega pack of them for $5. These on the other hand, at $5 for 3 of them, I feel a bit reluctant to throw them out.

While I enjoyed trying these spinner pins I probably won't buy any more unless I saw them for about $2, in which case I absolutely would. They're handy to have when your up-do requires some solid support, but for an item that becomes expendable because of the peeling enamel coating, I think i'll stick to the regular bobby pin value packs.

Strong as they say they are

These are strong. I haven't mastered anything other then a bun but I'm sure someone more creative then myself would! I wouldn't use them on a day to day basis but the other day my hair tie broke and the did the trick!

Spinnersssssss

I got the spinners as part of the beauty box. If they hadn't been in there I don't think I would have tried this product as it appears to be a bit gimmicky. However, I gave them a go today and they seemed to work fine at holding my hair up in a bun. Taking them out was a problem however, as they had tangled together, I had to get a friend to remove them for me. In the future I will make sure they do not twist into each other when I use them. They did what they said they would and held my hair up better than bobbie pins would have. Don't expect any super structured hairdo to stay with the spinners, but they worked fine for a loose, last minute, bun

Handy, easy to use...

I loved the novelty of these bobby spinners. As soon as I found out about them I was thinking how awesome they sounded (as long as you don't twist two together lol). So when they arrived in the March BRBB I was so happy, I didn't have to try to search them out (I tend to forget to look to be honest) and as soon as I tried them I thought YES, I can see me using them all the time.

Skip forward a week and I see so much of the painted surface has flaked off to reveal bare metal, but they still work so in they would go. They hold my super fine hair very well but can take some maneuvering to hold using only one or two but still I deem that successful.

Now roll forward a couple of months and well to be honest I don't use them much (ok at all) right now but I think that is purely because the novelty has worn off (much like the paint). I still love the concept of them and think they are handy to keep in my purse... you know... just in case, but I really only found them handy for keeping loose buns from coming undone and not really much else.

Tips: Really easy to use, simply position in the direction you want to secure hair and twist until pin is tucked neatly away in your hair

Set like concrete, hard to get out!

The first reaction when I saw these was "what the (insert bad word) are these!"

I have never seen anything like these and they took me by surprise, for a second I thought they were the latest cigarette holders and then I noticed they have directions on the back of the packet.

They are very easy to use, I have done a few messy buns and hair ups using these, I was sent the lighter colored ones (because I had brown hair) and recently went back to black, it isnt hard to hide these in your hair and they make everything so stable and secure, its really insane! For my thin and fine hair I only need to use 2 of these. Wind has nothing on my beautifully done hair, it just stays like its supposed to, but taking them out is a different story, I feel like Im fishing for noodles! It takes a good 3-5 minutes to untangle my hair from these, I do see how great these would be for clients, and most especially for big events like balls and weddings.

Cameo Bobby Spinners

I was quite skeptical about this product it did not look like it work at all but I tried them for an up do I wanted for a party, and they worked brilliantly, I still will probably use ordinary bobby pins as I am too used to them, but this is a great alternative
