I have been using this conditioner for the last couple of times I have washed my hair along with the matching shampoo. It has a rather strange smell which I found a little strange. Squeeze the water out of your hair and then apply the conditioner which goes on really easily and a little goes a long way. I finger combed it through my hair and it was vey easy to get the knots out. My hair was very soft and silky afterwards but by the next day it was quite fluffy and hard to control. My hair still feels really dry even though it is still soft. Maybe my hair is just so dry and damaged that it needs something a little more.

Tips: You don't need to use very much as it goes a long way.
Why is that fine hair needs so much attention before it looks greasy, or flat, or poofy from the wrong products. Of course I'm only speaking personally so lets see how this goes. Pantenes new breakthrough formula, based on their previous Pantene formula promises up to 100% damage protection with a lightweight feel, sounds ideal for coloured, fine hair types as myself. I spent a few hours kayaking at the beach to best determine the feel; condition; and look of my hair. Well despite a double wash and rinse my hair still felt salty, at least I couldn't feel a coating of conditioner which is another fun fine haired curse. It was certainly lightweight as promised, however not conditioning enough to stop my ends feeling dried from the sun and sea. Great price point, lightweight feel, but not enough staying moisturizing power to be 'renewing' for this salty haired lady.
Tips: Lather on the conditioner if going out in the sea for the day to provide a great barrier against the salt.
After using with the shampoo which stripped my hair and made it really knotty, it did an okay job.It did detangle most of the knots from shampooing although it was not moisturising enough to replace what the shampoo stripped. I have noticed that i have a lot less split ends than what I did when I first started using this but my hair was still a bit frizzy after using. I would probably use this conditioner with a different shampoo as it smells nice and is moisturizing without too heavy.
the scent gives me an overpowering smell causing me to get a light head an head aches . the product does work though an i made my hair feel so smooth an soft an frizz free but i ca not get past the smell
I really dont like the layer it leaves on your hair. By the time my hair dried, it was already oily from the layer build up. Maybe for dryer hair types but definitely not for me!
This conditioner is a good cheap backup to keep in your bathroom in case you run out of your favourite conditioner, because it's fine for one time use, however this product is terrible for continuous use. It conditions only the outside of the hair shaft and doesn't condition into the centre. It leaves a lot of product build up in your hair which means you'll need to use a clarifying shampoo with it most days which isn't good for your hair. It does however make your hair FEEL very soft after one use, so I do like to use it before events for the nice look it gives to the hair. The trouble is it isn't actually doing anything for your hair in the long run as it doesn't deep condition.
Tips: This is a good cheap white conditioner to dilute semi permanant hair colours with!
I found this really nice on my hair initially but it left build up which was hard to get rid of and made my hair appear slightly dull. I had to use a clarifying shampoo to get rid of it which was kind of hard on my hair. I won't use pantene again.
Review part 2 of my trial - the conditioner has come off marginally better. I would consider using this again if I was caught short.
Same as with the shampoo, the bottle is a generous and easy to use. Same smell as the shampoo, just something I can't put my finger on - quite pleasant but not my preferred scent. Almost like baby powder, where I prefer something more citrus based.
After a week of use I do not feel my hair is any better condition than it was before the trial. It's definitely no worse either.
Major let down for me was the fact this didn't live up to its intense moisturising claims. I have found the ends of my hair to be a bit crispy feeling and dry after using this, whereas that's not a problem I normally suffer from.
All in all, I won't be swapping, sorry Pantene!
Tips: Leave on as long as you can
First time I used it my hair felt great, but that is normal when I change shampoo's. After 3 to 4 washes my hair felt heavy and lacked it normal body. It felt like my hair was coated in something that was making it heavy and I needed to wash my hair more often.
The pros: smells great, my straightners slid through my hair after using product, hair was nice and soft. The cons, I felt I had to wash daily instead of alternate days like I normally do and it was a bit fly away. So all in all I would probably use it again as I do like Pantene in general.
