Pantene Moisture Renewal Shampoo Review

I have used many of the different lines Pantene has released over the years and was very excited to try out the new formula.

As far as drugstore hair care brands go I think Pantene does a very good job at offering a decent product considering the price tag.

The first time I used the shampoo and conditioner I wasn't very impressed. I let my hair dry naturally to get a better idea of the product itself. It left my hair much fluffier than the previous product I had been using but it did feel nice and clean as well as very soft.

The second time I used it however I let my hair air dry again and this time it seemed to work much better. My curls formed nicely and had a bit of shine to them.

The third time I used it I blow dried my hair and straightened it. Whilst the ends needed a little serum the roots were super smooth and had a nice amount of volume.

All in all I think that for the price point this is a nice product and will definitely repurchase from the Pantene range as I have so much history with the brand I trust the results I will get from it.

I was lucky enough to receive this and the conditioner to review haven't used it in years so was excited to give it a go I have dry/ damaged hair. The bottle is a very decent 350mls and the product itself is a normal shampoo texture with a lovely luxurious sent.

I used a small amount and applied to wet hair it lathered up quite nicely and with the second shampoo (I always do two) it lathered up really well and it felt like I was getting a good clean. My hair felt a bit more strawlike than usual after rinsing (before conditioner) but not too horrible. I then conditioned and blow dried and my hair feels good no better than normal but no worse either.

I gave this a average rating because that's what I feel it is average its definitely not a bad product but I don't think its anything to rave about either I've used and do use more affordable products that do the same job if not slightly better than this one. I will however keep using it for awhile to give it a good go because it does claim to give healthier hair after every wash.

I have medium length, thin, blonde hair. I use the hairdryer and straightners every second day and always make sure I use a heat protectant. I was excited to give Pantene Pro V Daily Moisture a go as it stated that it could erase blowdry damage and leave hair feeling silky. I used both the shampoo and conditioner for 3 washes in a row. The smell was pleasant, the texture was nice and thick but my hair was left feeling dry. I'm sure this product would be great on some types of hair but this was not for me.

I can't recall the last time I used Pantene on my hair, and also never was all that keen in the past as have heard hairdressers always putting this product down, saying how bad it is for your hair etc....so sceptical when it arrived, the packaging still looked the same as I remember higher price point (compared with other supermarket brands)

Decent size bottles and can be stood both ways which I liked so you aren't wasting that bit at the end.

Comes with a Matching daily renewal conditioner as recommended to use both when washing hair.

I have always wanted to combat my hairs dryness and being some limp so would give anything a try (once anyway) I didn't find after the first an instant ooh my hair is moisture-rich, soft, and shiny, but used for a week (every second day) and would notice much tamer when blow drying and straightening which is a plus and my hair sat really nicely when I had just washed it and left to dry naturally.

Overall the condition of my hair is still somewhat dry, but that would be other factors of my lifestyle as well, not just because of how I wash my hair. I loved that this particular Shampoo targeted what my main concerns were for my hair and that is always reassuring.

I wouldn't race out in a heart beat go out and purchase this again but I was happy enough for what did happen from a Supermarket product compared with Hair dresser salon suggestions

It arrived in a little box which I thought was cute. Its scent was fantastic, the texture was great, even lathered well. But sadly after my hair dried it left it feeling like straw and had no shine or volume to it. I will not buy this product.

Before I even started to use my samples I gave Plus points for the upside down printing on the conditioner bottle - a boon to the short sighted in the shower. Then, unlike many supermarket brands only very small amounts were needed for use (about the size of a ten cent piece for my short hair) so this is clearly very economical and good value. The results - my hair is shiny, soft and very manageable - just as shiny as it was after a salon visit last week. I had been having problems of dryness as a result of some long term medication but it is now looking as good as ever. At 79 I believe that nice shiny hair deflects attention from all those inevitable facial wrinkles - problem solved.

So I was quite excited to trial this product as I nearly brought this a month back. Firstly the bottles are nice and sleek and really easy to open when wet. Easy to tell the difference between the shampoo and conditioner bottles which is a major bonus. The smell isn't overpowering and I haven't paid too much attention to it other than the fact I find it pleasant. The consistency is perfect for me and the biggest test was that it didn't strip my newly applied colour in the three washes I've used it for this week. Unfortunately my highlighted hair still felt coarse and stringy when I was washing the shampoo out which is something I'd love to avoid. However the conditioner is a major saving grace!! I liked this productba lot even though there was just enough in tha sample bottle to cover my hair, it did wat it says it does. I go swimming in the ocean a lot and love the outdoors, so my hair can become dry and brittle from different weather conditions. After using this product my hair felt softer and was less frizzy. I would definitly use this product agaim. The only down point was my hair is soo long and thick i only got to use the product once, but it showed a remarkable change for the better after just one wash.

I found it did make my hair feel a lot more nourished, though also quite stringy/wirey. I normally use very 'true-to-nature' shampoos so I think with this shampoo it may have stripped more than the usual amount of my natural oils from my hair than usual - but it still stayed very controlled and shiny when dried and straightened. Nice, though didn't grant me the same feel my hair gets when I leave as many natural oils in as possible.
