I found it did make my hair feel a lot more nourished, though also quite stringy/wirey. I normally use very 'true-to-nature' shampoos so I think with this shampoo it may have stripped more than the usual amount of my natural oils from my hair than usual - but it still stayed very controlled and shiny when dried and straightened. Nice, though didn't grant me the same feel my hair gets when I leave as many natural oils in as possible.

Oh no Pantene is back,!!!! No it's ok, you can relax they have listened to the people and have done their research and changed the formula ! To be honest I was dreading the same old smell and the same silicon-y texture but was surprised when I finished applying the shampoo. Great start already. It did clean my hair but I found that I had to use more product than usual to get a real clean and get the build up out ( I was sure not to over wash) . After the hair had the "squeaky clean " noise!? The conditioner was lovely I found worked best if left on for a couple of minutes to sink right in. I was able to finger comb my hair. Overall a nice change for Pantene. In the future I would use it if it was in the shower more so the conditioner, bit wary of the shampoo and the effect of the squeaky noise.
Tips: Leave the conditioner in for a deep condition, perfect for a finger comb .. Don't use a brush in the shower .. Wrecks the hair when it is wet and vulnerable
The first thing I noticed about this product is that it smells great.
The second thing I noticed was the packaging hasn't changed much, considering it is supposed to be a new formula. If I was at the supermarket I'm not sure I would have realised it had a new formula. When I started using this shampoo, I noticed that it didn't lather as well as I would have liked. My hair gets dirty quickly and is thick, so I like to give it a good clean. I think if you have hair like mine then I wouldn't recommend this product. If you have hair that is dry and lacks shine then this product might work better for you as it does look silky afterwards.
Tips: Use with the conditioner on the mid lengths and ends of your hair as this really helps make it feel smooth and silky. Not for people who have thick oily hair as it doesn't lather/clean well.
So I used the Pantene pro v this week and it was ok without being anything special. It does what shampoo does it cleans your hair. It was not an overly scented shampoo which is good for me being a guy. I did not notice my hair feeling any different from any other shampoo I have used in the past. Would I buy it again? Sure if it's on special
I really liked the smell and the texture of the Pantene Pro V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo. I liked how it made my hair feel, it was very soft and silky but the only problem was it made my hair look to greasy!!! I felt like I had to re wash it again after washing it as it didn't look clean. It did add moisture but maybe a bit too much....
I've been using the Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo (and the conditioner) for a few days now and while it did add some moisture on its own, my hair still felt a little on the dry side until conditioning. It smelled nice and my hair was easy to brush afterwards.
Tips: Unless your hair is really oily, I'd only suggest shampooing your hair once before conditioning.
I've used Pantene on and off over the years. I always get told off by my hairdressers for using it - it has a pretty bad wrap for having silicones that cling to your hair etc.
I recently let my hairdresser convince me to switch and buy salon shampoo, and wash every other day rather than every day.
When I got these samples I tried to use it every other day - and it just gets too greasy on the second day. Don't get me wrong, it did everything it said it would on the first day. It felt shiny and healthy, and really nice condition. But it was way too oily on the second day.
So if you're somebody who washes their hair everyday, I definitely recommend it as an affordable product.
Tips: Wash your hair each day with this for extra shine.
The first day I tried the product I noticed how it has such a pleasant smell, a smell definitely fit for hair. I have very greasy hair so usually double shampoo to avoid this look, with this shampoo, I felt this was definitely necessary to clean my hair properly. Following this I found I had to use quite a lot of conditioner for it to work in my hair, as I often do. I found I ran out of conditioner much quicker than shampoo, how ever the conditioner is quite dense and thick. I let my hair air dry after the use and my hair was quite soft and full of moisture, a like any of the Pantene products I have tried. Overall, the results were good with the use of a lot of product, and would be even better when blow dried and straightened.
Tips: Brush through the conditioner in your hair whilst in the shower for a moisture full, smoother less tangled finish!
I have used this shampoo and I have really put it through the hoops! It has had to deal with chlorinated hair, as well as dried out frizzy hair!
It has managed to stand up to the test and miraculously it removes the chlorine smell from hair my hair, which makes me believe that it is all washed out! This is amazing as with a lot of other shampoo I have used, it often needs several days of washing to remove the smell, which isn't ideal if you have places to go, or people to see. This fact alone makes me want to use it again and again, as swimming is something I try to do often.
Additionally as someone who loves it when shampoo bubbles easily this Pantene really bubbles! So a plus as far as I am concerned as I really hate it when shampoo takes a while to bubble and lather.
Furthermore, the smell is amazing! It is a fruity and floral smell, which is to die for! It also retains the smell quite nicely!
Unfortunately, although the shampoo has many positives, I have not noticed much of a difference with regard to silky hair. This is not to say that there haven't been improvements, but it hasn't been an extraordinary change.
Overall, I would say that the Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo is best suited to those who struggle to find a shampoo that can keep up with the effects of chlorine (or possibly salt water) or extremely frizzy and dry hair.
Tips: Use less product than you would normally use, as it produces a lot of bubbles quickly, and easily
I have used many of the different lines Pantene has released over the years and was very excited to try out the new formula.
As far as drugstore hair care brands go I think Pantene does a very good job at offering a decent product considering the price tag.
The first time I used the shampoo and conditioner I wasn't very impressed. I let my hair dry naturally to get a better idea of the product itself. It left my hair much fluffier than the previous product I had been using but it did feel nice and clean as well as very soft.
The second time I used it however I let my hair air dry again and this time it seemed to work much better. My curls formed nicely and had a bit of shine to them.
The third time I used it I blow dried my hair and straightened it. Whilst the ends needed a little serum the roots were super smooth and had a nice amount of volume.
All in all I think that for the price point this is a nice product and will definitely repurchase from the Pantene range as I have so much history with the brand I trust the results I will get from it.
Tips: As all products work differently for different people I thought I would let you know that my hair type is waist length, curly, lightly ombred. I have a sensitive scalp and dry ends of my hair.
