Fudge Clean Blonde Damage Rewind Conditioner

I have used this conditioner 3 times now in conjunction with the Fudge Clean Blonde shampoo. My hair was left stripped and dry after using the shampoo (see my review for full details) so I knew this conditioner had a lot of work to do to make up for the effect of the shampoo.

As a conditioner, it was fine. It didn't totally restore the moisture or manageability lost while using the shampoo, but it did detangle my hair. I've had much better conditioners from the supermarket, so wouldn't buy this one again.

The reason for the low score is that it claims to be a violet toning product. But the purple tint in the conditioner is so light - more of a plan lilac - that I don't think it contributed to the toning of my blonde balayage at all. So it didn't really achieve what it claimed to do.

I've been using purple shampoo for years and had never thought to use a purple conditioner. Was it a nice product? Yes. Was it necessary for toning hair after already using a purple shampoo? Undecided. I think it did a lovely job of nourishing my hair and leaving it feeling strong, healthy and looking smooth and shiny but I feel like the shampoo did all the heavy lifting in terms of getting rid of the yellow tones. I used it on its own once or twice and can't say I noticed a difference in the tone. Like the shampoo, the packaging is a standard and practical tube but does tend to leak so take care if traveling with it. I don't feel I needed to use a lot of product to cover the whole area. I probably wouldn't purchase again on its own but I'd use it if it came as part of a pack with the shampoo amd treatment.

This isn't as moisturizing as I would like but it's also not too heavy for my fine hair. I've been using it with the shampoo and getting good results but I think most of the success is attributed to the shampoo.

I found the texture of the cream to be quite thick, which I like in a conditioner as I want to be able to coat it nice and evenly. I didn't pick up much on a smell, so found it to be more neutral than anything. In terms of toning, I would say it did reasonably well, but I have always found my ends to be more of a challenge in that regard. I also found it to be more on the dry side much like the shampoo, but by pairing it with a moisturizing treatment, it works just fine. While I like the product, I am not sure what value I would get generally as a toning treatment likely would achieve the same thing, and I can avoid the drying of the conditioner.

The conditioner does a good job of adding some moisture into the hair (especially after the blonde shampoo!) with the added bonus of being a lighter toning treatment than its shampoo counterpart. It’s light and easy to use, washes out easily with little residue and doesn’t leave hand stains. If you only wanted light toning to blonde or grey hair this would be better than the shampoo I think. I conditioned twice to get out tangles and for my hair to feel smoother. Overall I did like this conditioner and would use again.

I have used the fudge range in the past before, so was really keen to see how this Damage Rewind formula performs. I love the packaging of this range - a bottle that sits on it's lid means I get every last drop out, and the lid is easy to open so even with conditioner on my hands, I can still open it without a crowbar or it slipping out of my hands. I also love that the bottle is a different colour to the shampoo one, which makes it super simple to grab the right one each time.

The tone of the conditioner is a lighter purple than the shampoo. It's a lovely thick formula and has the most gorgeous scent which lasts on the hair beautifully. You definitely have that 'just left the salon' scent about you. In terms of toning, it is definitely milder than the shampoo, but I would imagine helps keep that brass away if you were someone who conditioned before swimming etc.

My hair feels really nourished without feeling heavy or looking greasy. While it's not super shiny, it does look and feel really soft and flowing, and a little bit of hair oil finishes it off perfectly.

I purchased this recently with my vault points yay! I have been using a purple toning shampoo (different brand) but saw this purple conditioner, along with being a deep conditioner for damage, so thought I'd try it!

The tube is a good size and I like the branding and colours. The print on the back is teeny tiny though and so hard to read! Even when I put my reading glasses on I still had difficulty working it out haha. Of course it was when I was in the shower actually washing my hair that I tried to read it too - I squeezed out what I thought was a good amount and applied to my hair (squeezed out as much excess water as possible). I left it on for around 2 minutes, my hair is quite porous so don't like leaving it on too long. I then rinsed and my hair felt very soft and smelled great! My hair did feel a bit dry/rough when drying though, but once dried and straightened and I also popped in some Organic Argan Oil Gloss, it felt fine. One thing I really love about it is the smell, I can actually smell my hair 2 days after using the conditioner and it smells great.

Now the toning - it didn't get rid of as much of the brassy tones that I wanted, it also turned the lighter parts of my hair, mainly the front and sides/ends an ashy/ very light purply colour, which I actually don't hate funnily enough. I have had a couple of workmates comment on the colour and how much they like it, so must be ok!

All in all, I do like this conditioner and will continue to use it along with a purple shampoo (might have to get the matching Fudge shampoo though), so will buy it again I think.

Used in conjunction with the shampoo I was keen to try this. My hair was already feeling soft and sleek after shampooing. So I was excited to see what the conditioner would do. Interestingly this doesn't need to be left on. I did grab my comb to comb through the product. The comb went through easily and my hair was feeling soft and tangle free. I left my hair to dry naturally and the curls were soft and springy. Not as dry and boofy as normal. My hair stayed like this until I washed again later in the week. My highlight was the ease of brushing my hair each day as it was feeling healthier and tangle free. Hard to say if my hair looked less brassy yet but hope to see a difference thier soon.

I want to have my hair in the best condition possible, I dye it blonde! Use the hair dryer and straightener frequently and like to keep it as long as possible. I NEED a conditioner that will help with the condition. To trial this conditioner put my excitement level pretty high. After using the shampoo, I worked a decent amount of conditioner through my hair, having no time on my hands I rinsed it out not longer after. I could feel the difference as I was rinsing my hair felt a whole lot softer and smoother - (no dry straw here). The colour of the conditioner is a light purple, the fragrance is quite gentle and my hair sat well once I’d blow dried and straightened holding well throughout the day which shows it’s a great product. My hair felt wonderfully conditioned without being weighted down. I highly recommend this conditioner to all, a great everyday conditioner.
