Being a Blondie I am forever hunting for a product to tone, and prolong the ashy appearance of my hair. Fudge is my absolute favourite, I used it on both wet and dry hair, using it dry gives a very intense tone (be careful not to leave it too long though!) Though I'm not sure this would be hairdresser recommended! I find I only need to use it once a week AND It Keeps My Hair The Exact Colour I love in between toning treatments!

I have tried 3 Violet shampoos and the fudge one is by far my favourite. It takes the brassy tones out a lot better than the other two I've tried and really keeps your hair blonde. It lasts ages also so is definitely worth the investment.
Tips: It does make your hands go quite purple so be sure to rinse them well.
As my photo shows I use to be blonde, this was the product I used when I had bleached my hair,I would was the bleach out then put this Violet shampoo in my hair,it comes in a tube and cost $20 but took any yellow ness out of your hair,it's a bright purple colour and feels like syrup but does a wonderful job of turning your hair white from yellow lol.it smells ok,I used it every 2nd to 3 rd day in my hair just to keep the yellow away,it really works
Tips: This shampoo really works,if you want to take the yellow out of bleeched blonde hair
This has to be the best silver shampoo out there, I've used so many others and nothing compares. I'm probably on my fifth bottle over the years, I've been blonde for many years and my hair naturally has a lot of natural golden tones and with this shampoo it's so easy to get rid of any brassiness. I prefer the ashy blonde on me so anytime my hair starts to throw golden tones this shampoo fixes it in one wash. If you want an intense silver ash look use it several times a week or if you just want a "pick me up" and freshen up of your colour mix it with your regular shampoo for a less dramatic change. It really works great, don't panic if it stains your hands and fingers purple it will wash out after several washes. Leaves my hair silky and smooth, doesn't strip it at all. One bottle lasts me nearly a year as you only need the smallest amount ever. Totally worth it and the price is so reasonable for the amazing product you get.
Tips: Don't leave in for too long as it will start to turn your hair purple/grey
This shampoo is essential for maintaining my blonde locks. I have tried several 'purple' shampoos that did absolutely nothing. This definitely gets rid of yellow brassy tones in my hair. It smells like fudge! (hence the brand name). Although I can sometimes find it extremely drying straight after application on freshly bleached hair, a good dose of conditioner afterwards will return the hair back to normal.
Tips: The shampoo itself is a deep violet colour and can stain very easily ! Be careful when transporting the bottle eg taking it on holiday by covering it in a plastic bag.
My hairdresser made me purchase this product when I went blonde, and it was well worth the money. I used it once a week and would leave it in my hair for about ten minutes, the I would rinse it out and then condition. This shampoo was magic for my hair and got rid of any brassey tones that I had.
Tips: This shampoo tended to stain my hands quite easily so I would recommend using gloves.
this product is epic, completely tones away yellow and depending on how long you leave it on can give your hair that grey tone
i enjoy using this product (i use it approx 3 times a week as my regular shampoo) and it does what it says it is supposed to. BUT i find that because my hair is dry from mid to end (i currenty have ombre style hair) and oily at the roots it is hard to not to dry out the ends of my hair by trying to tone it with the shampoo. i feel i need to leave it in my hair for atleast 5 minutes to get the product to be effective and i have to wash the walls and shower curtain straight away if product comes in to contact with it as it stains easily. after a few trials with branded conditioners i found Garnier 72hr sleek and shine Conditioner worked the best to prevent fly aways and frizz.
Tips: it certainly takes away the brassiness and creates a beautiful white blonde too and with appropriate hydration is a great product
I'll have to say one of the best I've used. I apply it to my dry hair. It says differ to the bottle, it says apply to wet hair I've tried that technique it does work but I find my hair to go purple. So I try on my dry hair just on the parts that needed it and it worked just as good even better. In saying so if you do try it on your dry hair be cautious in doing so kaus your hair could turn purpl still as I like testing on my own hair it happened to go on some of my white hair and stained it for a bit but don't worry I got tips to wash it out.
Tips: To get stained purple out I've found head and shoulders is best to get it out depending on how stained your hair is. After washing with just the shampoo, shampoo again with argon shampoo and conditioner in the small blue bottle and your hair feels a gazillion bucks.
Recently I have been visiting a salon every couple of months (Ive done this twice so far) to lighten my hair from dark brown to blonde.
My first visit, I got a full head of highlights and a toner put through it all to bring it to a nice dark blonde with ashy highlights. I used this shampoo (and also conditioner) for majority of washes, and my hair lightened and toned up to a nice bright and shiny blonde, it definitely took away any brassy colours that were present, most noticeable after three washes. The next visit, I had a similar thing, but in a balayage/ombre style. Once again I turned to Fudge and this stuff worked on the first wash. It truly is my holy grail. I live by this stuff, and will continue to wash my hair with this.
Tips: Definitely rinse your hands after putting this through your hair, or you get purple hands :P
