I was lucky enough to be selected to trial this range. Firstly, I like the packaging. It's bright green, vibrant, and attractive.
The lid snaps open and it's easy to squeeze out the right amount of product. The conditioner itself smells quite fruity which I found disappointing because I was looking forward to a coconut scent.
The conditioner applies easily enough, but I found that it doesn't do that much for my hair. It claims to balance oily roots and nourish dry ends, but I didn't find this result to be outstanding, and is comparable to most other conditioners.
My hair felt clean and soft, but wasn't particularly nourished. For the price, and the claim of good ingredients, I may repurchase, but wouldn't go out of my way to get it.
I bought the Garnier Coconut Water range a few weeks ago. I usually dislike Garnier Fructis shampoos and conditioners but this one definitely made me change my tune a bit, or a lot! It matches the shampoo in the same duo which I love matching things so yay. It is a darker more vibrant green than the boring old garnier fuctis that I have seen before these.
The bottle sits with the opening on the down side so that it makes it easier to get the product out. The conditioner is very rich and creamy to the touch and as described by my bebe Shana it smells like fruit juice. I was never a fan of all the sweet fruity shampoos that Garnier make but this baby has me loving the smell.
After I have shampooed I follow with this conditioner to give it the best results. I use the equivalent to two fifty cent coins to make sure I get full coverage. I smooth it through concentrating mostly on the lengths of my hair because that is where all the moisture is needed as opposed to the roots. My hair is colour damaged so needs a lot of TLC so I wasn't holding out much hope that it would feel amazing. After only smoothing it through my hair becomes tangle free (massive feat with curly hair) and like I have just walked out of a salon feeling. This was after just one wash!!
After towel drying my hair, the magic was evident! I ran a hairbrush through it with no problems. Usually I have a fight with the hairbrush to go through and undo matted knots. This time I am able to brush my hair no sweat with but maybe two knots compared to my usual 15-20. If this is what happened after the first wash I couldn't wait to find out more.
It has now been around 4-5 weeks since I purchased this. My hair is far more manageable and soft. The colour damage is still there but is way less obvious to the eye unless you're inspecting it up close. It shines and in turn allows my red hair to shine and look as healthy as it can be. So in summary, I am coconutty on this stuff!!
Tips: Use the Garnier Fructis Coconut Water shampoo before you use the conditioner for best results.
