Garnier Fructis Hair Food conditioners are my go to, I have found that some conditioners that I have used in the past have thinned my hair. This conditioner is very gentle on my hair and leaves it knotless, smooth and shiny. overtime, this conditioner has also softened my dry hair. The smell is lovely and it is a very affordable price. It is also cruelty free which is a must when I purchase products.

I was lucky enough to be selected to try this hair treatment as part of the trial teams and was so excited as I haven't really tried many hair treatments before. The first thing I noticed was the smell, this product smells so fresh and lovely. It also comes with a lot of product, and because I don't have really thick hair, I think it will last for a long time. I only use a small amount each time (I use this as my conditioner and use the matching Aloe Vera Shampoo bar from Garnier as my shampoo). Once my hair is dry, I notice an instant difference in how smooth and tangle-free my hair is, which is awesome! I also love that my hair doesn't feel weighed down or heavy at all. This is an amazing hair treatment for those with normal-dry hair however I tend to have normal to oily hair and this worked perfectly for me without making my hair feel greasy or oily at all! I will definitely be repurchasing this once it runs out, and would highly recommend others to try it out! I also love that it is affordable and easily accessible in many shops including supermarkets, The Warehouse and pharmacies.
Tips: You only need to use a little bit and it covers the ends of your hair. Follow the directions on the jar or use it as a conditioner for equally lovely results. Make sure to securely close the lid once you scoop it out as you don't want water to get inside which could dilute the formula.
Before this trial I had never used a hair mask or equivalent product so was unsure what to expect. I tried the product two ways - 1. As a replacement conditioner; and 2. As a hair mask following conditioner. I didn't notice heaps of a difference but I think using it as a supplement to the conditioner made the ends of my hair very silky and soft. My hair had a little extra 'boost' of hydration and it was a nice way to feel pampered. I enjoyed the subtle but fresh aloe vera smell of the product. I was confused about the choice of a big pottle for this product - I think it would've been easier to use a regular squeezy bottle.
Tips: Use about half the amount of your normal conditioner as the product is heavier and richer than regular conditioner.
I used this as a conditioner, after the aloe vera shampoo bar. Left my hair more under control than usual. Tub means it's easy to use and there's non left behind as you can happen with bottles.
To begin with I have to say that my hair is not discolored or excessively damaged. My first impresión of the Garnier hydrating Aloe Vera hair food has been quite satisfactory, It leaves the hair manageable with a plenomenal smell and not very heavy. If you are one of the people Who avoid consuming cosmetic products with Palm oil derivatives, this product contains stearamidopropyl. According to information from Garnier This derivative may contain sustanaible Palm oil.
I was lucky enough to be chosen to review the Aloe Garnier Food Shampoo Bar and the Aloe Hair Food. It was the first time I had tried a shampoo bar, nice size and fits in your hand perfectly, I found that it lathers up thick and quite creamy so you don't need to use a lot. It's quite soft so finding a place to put it could be a problem as my shower is above my soap dish and it would literally just melt away quite quickly. I ended up taking it out of shower and leaving it to dry and then put it in small container. After shampooing I used the Aloe hair food to condition my hair. Great smell and I like the tub packaging, it can just be left on shower floor. I also like that you can just scoop the amount out you need and apply as needed. Blow dried my hair as normal and it looked great, hair was clean and soft but seemed to lack lustre. That evening my hair was quite lank looking and by the morning looked a little greasy and that it needed another wash, I only ever wash my hair twice maybe three times a week so was a little disappointed that it looked the way it did.
I had actually just finished a tub of this exact product, before receiving it to trial so I have had a good three months worth of using it to base my review on.
My hair: brown, very long, fine, frizzy, crankshaft curl pattern. Not coloured. I shampoo daily, condition every other day and air dry. No scalp concerns.
PROS: Easy to find, multi-use product. I used it as a mask, a dab as a leave in, but mostly as normal rinse out conditioner. It does a good job of making my hair feel soft, it smells nice and my hair is easy to comb afterwards, it actually helps my easily knotty hair drop the tangles out when I rinse. There's a lot in the tub compared to other brands. There are lots of scents to choose from as well. Overall if I need a thick conditioner, I would buy this again, but in the banana scent.
CONS: there's so much in the tub I got a bit tired of the scent. The lid is pretty big so I always had to unscrew it before shower with dry hands, and balance the lid on top to keep the water out until I needed it. I dropped the tub a couple times. I usually keep conditioner off my roots but this was okay, no flat hair or oily scalp.
I have used the mask both as a conditioner and as a leave in product. Works well as a conditioner and mask with my hair being soft an manageable . Not such a fan as a leave in conditioner as I felt my hair seemed a little straw like and needed to wash my hair again before I normally would have as I felt there was too much product buildup on my scalp despite trying hard to use it in my ends. Perhaps it just takes a while for my hair to adjust to a new product though so will continue to use
This made my hair super soft and hydrated and was easy to use. I loved the product itself, but think it would be more user-friendly in a squeeze bottle.
Absolutely love the hair food range! I have tried the whole range and then they bought out two new ones, Aloe Vera and Watermelon which I have sitting in my cupboard to try next. I love the packaging and the huge tubes they come in.
It is super duper thick.....yes I love that! It's so satisfying putting your hand in and scooping up a big glob and smearing it all over your hair lol. It smells great too, very fresh and clean. For me I like to use it mainly as a conditioner and hair mask. Although there is not much difference in that....I just leave it on a bit longer when I use it as a mask.
This leaves my hair so soft and hydrated. I get considerably less frizz and it looks shiny and healthy. I have just finished off the tub which has lasted quite a while and I would definitely buy it again. Now to try the watermelon!
