The first thing I loved about this was the scent. It’s so refreshing and using it just makes me feel clean. I also feel like it would last a really long time as you get such a big tub of product. I just use a bit for the length of my hair and the result is amazing. My hair feels super soft and luscious! I also don’t get a lot of hair loss with this which I feel some similar products have done in the past when I shower. I don’t think I needed to use it as a leave in condition but a 3 min mask works amazingly and does it’s job!

Size of tub: Pleasantly surprised with the size of this tub! 390ml of hair mask goodness. This will last a long time in my long bob.
Scent: Fresh, Clean linen kind of smell. Very subtle and leaves a hint of freshness to your hair.
Use: I honestly havent used a hair mask in a long time, and kind of missed it! I have tried using this every second wash and leave it in for 1 minute as a mask. I have also experienced using a 10cent piece size after I have towel dried my hair leaving it in as a treatment. Both were enjoyable ways to use it and I didnt feel one way was better than the other personally.
Ingredients: Loving the thoughtful ingredients in this Aloe Vera based product, from sunflower seed oil, coconut oil, and soya oil.
Price: $14 at countdown is a great investment, suitable for the whole family.
Tips: I also tried it out on my 4yr olds hair ends and this really helped with detangling.
The fact its 3 in 1 is a huge plus for me. Mask: I left this in on damp hair for about 10 minutes and washed out, my hair felt soft and smelled so good. Using it as a conditioner provides the same results.
However the leave in conditioner is my favourite part. You only need a tiny amount on your fingers. I rubbed it on the ends of my hair and it helped tame the dry ends of my hair. I twisted my hair with it to give it some shape and the outcome was really nice. My hair stayed soft until the next wash. Also it smells so good! All of the hair food range smell really good.
I’m labelling this product as a mask as I feel it’s potential is wasted as a conditioner! For my first use I chucked it all over my dry hair 30 mins before getting in the shower. The tub is fairly large and you don’t use heaps so it will take awhile to chug through it. This stuff really flattened my frizzy baby hairs without making my hair feel oily or slicked down the way the aloe conditioner did. It also made it soft and shiny! I’m not 100% sure if I would purchase again as any good conditioner does the same job without the added step of a mask. I have been trailing the aloe shampoo & conditioner past 2 weeks which has left my hair in a dry crumbly and somehow oily state so I think this change up in routine is more amazing at the moment because of this. Either way it’s pretty good but not the bees knees.
Tips: •Paired with the Garnier aloe shampoo this works great!
I love the packaging on this product as it looks very clean and fresh, and I love the tub shape - makes it feel like a special occasion product, rather than just a run of the mill shampoo/conditioner. There is heaps of information on the tub, and it suggests four ways of using - always great to find a multi-purpose product at a good price.
The product itself is white and thick, so it is easy to scoop out. It can be tricky to pop the lid back on without water getting in, but that is the case with any tub that has a lid. The scent is similar to the shampoo and conditioner from the same range, but it reminds me more of actual aloe vera rather than being overly artificial. I think it is because it has a slightly more creamy scent.
My favourite way to use this was to apply it straight after shampoo and leave it in for at least two minutes. I skipped conditioner completely when I used it as it felt nice and thick, and felt like it really conditioned my hair and made it feel soft.
I love how it can be used as a leave in as well - while I try to wash most/all of it out, as someone whose hair can get oily sometimes and feels like product build up could be partly to blame, it is nice to know that this product is designed as a leave in so if I don't get it all out it's not the end of the world. It also doesn't leave my hair feeling heavy like some other masks/treatments can - I was able to dry and style my hair, and it still felt soft without feeling heavy afterwards.
In saying that, I did decide to try applying it as a leave on treatment in my dry hair on one occasion (which I wouldn't have dreamt of doing unless the instructions told me to!). It felt nice going in, and I actually preferred the scent out of the shower. I just applied it from mid length to ends, and it didn't make my hair feel weighed down. However, leaving it in made my hair feel slightly greasy so I think I will stick to applying it on wet hair then rinsing as much out as possible.
I have tried the shampoo and conditioner from this range and I didn't rate them as I found issues with both. However, this product is much nicer and I will continue to use it. I will keep using it as a conditioner/mask while forgoing my usual conditioner as it is really moisturising and feels luxurious to apply. You get a really decent amount for the size of the tub, so I would recommend giving it a go. Or, if the Aloe Vera one doesn't suit your hair type, give another tub from the Garnier range a go.
Tips: Tip: I preferred to use it as a mask (leave in for at least 1-2 minutes). Skip the conditioner unless you have really dry hair.
So if you've read much of my previous reviews of Garnier products, you will forgive me if my hopes weren't particularly high for this product. But...This is actually a good product. The formula is creamy, has no freaky odour and does improve the look and feel of damaged hair, especially dry ends in my case. You don't need a lot for a regular conditioning process so it's pretty cost-effective. The packaging is also nice and can double as a flat stand for your drink during your next bubble bath.
Tips: A small scoop should be all you require.
This handy tub of of hydration is so thick, soft and creamy, with a simple twist of the lid and its open and you are free to scoop out your desired amount. There isn't an applicator which is good its unneeded. It is beautifully scented with a light fresh fruity slightly floral fragrance, which i really liked. You can slightly smell throughout the day and i even had a couple of complements. So depending on what your using it for mask/conditioner, leave in conditioner you use as much as you need. For a mask i used enough to cover the palm of my hand but leave in conditioner a little on my finger tips, i have long hair half way down my back. This product is really hydrating and was so nice on my hair i didn't get that dry frizzy ends with a greasy root like i normally after a few days without washing. Which i love means my hair is much smoother and less ratty at the end. It comes in quite a big tub of 390mls so this will last me a good long time as a conditioner and way longer if your only using as leave-in conditioner. I think that this is great value for money its a great size and will last a good amount of time too! Similar products either cost a lot more for this size or are much smaller and you get way less uses out of them. It come in a nice white circle sized tub, has a green lid and green label with all the info clearly printed on it. I really feel like this is a great product it made my hair smell great its way smoother with a natural shine its gives my ends the extra hydration it needs before my next wash (as a leave-in conditioner) but rinses out nicely too without that greasy thick feeling.
I would totally recommend this product to anyone and everyone who will listen, not only does it do what it says it is also cost effective! It comes from 98% natural origins, no artificial colourants, no silicone's, no parabens and its vegan!!! Amazing.
Tips: I get really dry flaky scalp after using dry shampoo, so when ive used dry shampoo i always give my scalp a really good massage with this after washing and i have noticed its less flaky afterwards.
I loved this 1st off the jar is awesome I don't have to sit there squeezing forever to get the amount that I'm needing but I will say it's abit annoying having the lid that comes completely off while in the shower but I love how you can get the amount you want in 1 easy scoop of the hand my hair has become very dry from the mid lengths to the ends I've now used this a total of 4 times 1 each of the 3 different ways it can be used and twice as a mask which I found worked best for my hair it for sure drunk it all up it left my hair super soft and added so much hydration that it didn't look like straw anymore I think the amount you get the smell and the outcome is worth every cent I would for sure buy this in the future cause if this can deal to my very thick very long hair it can help anyone
Tips: Wash out completely
I had issues with Garnier Aloe shampoo and conditioner just not giving me a smooth hydrated finish - but not the hair food. I opted to use it as a leave in as i often dont dry my hair and just throw it up until I can be bothered dealing with my mop - this left my hair feeling really nice, really clean and easy to detangle my hair - very happy with this one.
I thoroughly enjoyed trialling this, it is definitely something I am going to add to my normal hair care routine! The packaging is about what you’d expect from Garnier, kind of on the cheaper side but that didn’t bother me at all.
It has a creamy texture and is so easy to apply to the hair. I mostly used it as a leave-in treatment and a little bit goes such a long way, so it is definitely worth the money as far as I’m concerned. It works well in the shower as a conditioner too but I definitely prefer using it as a leave-in treatment.
It has quite a strong smell which is perfume like as still reminiscent of aloe vera, but I absolutely loved it. Obviously it wouldn’t be so great if you weren’t a fan of strong smells in products. It also stayed smelling so good between washes which doesn’t usually happen for me, so that was a huge plus.
My hair has super dry ends and this definitely made my hair feel so much healthier in the time I have been trialling it. I’m looking forward to continuing to use this! I would definitely recommend this to anyone that has super dry ends!
