A really yummy smell, like a banana cinnamon smoothie, the smell lasts well and gets less 'foody' and more pleasing when hair dries. This conditioned my hair well when rinsing out in the shower, and when not rinsing it was good for the hair ends, wouldn't put it in dry hair further up though because it makes the hair look separated and strandy. I have thin straight hair and it didn't bog me down too much, it felt nicely healthy after use. One downside is the container is annoying to use in the shower, water gets in easily.

Tips: Good in damp hair as a leave-in on split ends/dry ends
As a girl with very curly hair this makes for a great hair mask or even leave in conditioner without it weighing down my curls. Smells super nice and doesn’t leave the hair greasy.
Tips: Can also use it as a quasi curl defining cream in a pinch
i use this hairfood as a rinse out conditioner and mask and out of all of the different garnier hair food i liked this one the best. It left my damaged blonde curly hair soft and seriously maneagable. Better than a high end conditioner! I highly recommend
Tips: Can be used as rinse out conditioner or mask.
This stuff smells soooo good. Leaves me with soft hair, and always a plus that it's cruelty free! Works well on thinner hair as well.
I love the big jar and love the way my hair feels after using this conditioner but am not keen on the smell.I love bananas but not keen on wearing food smells however this product does do what is says and leaves my hair feeling so nourished. I will probably try one of the other tubs next time just to compare scents however this is certainly not a No from me as it is a quality product.
Tips: If your hair is excessively dry massage in well pop a cap on and leave on overnight
My hair definitely feasted on this food. Unfortunately a little too much I think Was lovely and rich and smelt very natural when I applied it in the shower. It really felt like my hair was getting a tasty treat when wet However I think it must have gorged itself as my hair felt horrible and greasy and looked almost wet at the roots when dry with frizzy unmanageable ends I wasn't very impressed and definitely wouldn't use again I couldn't wait to wash it out as it was so heavy and my hair normally pretty straight wouldn't brush properly and the only option was to shove it into a bun until I could wash it out
Tips: Not for me . I have quite thick hair that is straight in sunny weather but gets frizzy before it rains. Maybe great for thinner hair that hasn't got a lot of body
I would truthfully stay away from it if you can extremely dry hair, I thought I’d use it to help my dry hair soften up and bring life back to it but all it did for me was leave a strong banana smell which I’m not mad about the smell is amazing, but the greasy feeling with no real dimension to it was not that great, it left my hair feeling very straw like and the product dried up faster than I thought. Overall it didn’t work well for my hair at all. I wouldn’t buy it again unfortunately
My 1.5 year old has crazy curls and we use a pea size of the Hair Food Banana and it helps hydrate her curls for them to bounce around without it being greasy.
Tips: Always start with a small amount of product and slowly increase as required.
Good for the price, I love the smell off it, it does a great job at moisturising your hair and makes it smell great 😍
Very good pot of conditioner. A sizeable amount, great consistency (you don’t need a whole lot to cover shoulder length hair), and the smell is not overpoweringly banana. The price is fair for the amount you get in a pot, and especially considering that you can use this product 3 ways: conditioner, mask, or leave-in. For me, the results weren’t tremendous, but I do have very dry hair naturally and often dye it at home. I do find that using these Garnier conditioners helps a TONNE to keep my hair shiny and voluminous.
