First off this smelt like banana lollies! At first I didn’t like it but it grew on me and wasn’t so strong the more I used the product. The scent does stay on the hair but is not over powering.
The shampoo has a thin gel like consistency and the conditioner is a nice thick creamy consistency.
I found the shampoo lathered really well for a natural shampoo and my hair was shiny, less frizzy amd my scalp didn’t feel dry.
The conditioner massaged into my ends nicely and then then brushed through with a comb and left to sit for a few minutes. It hydrated my ends resulting in less frizz, a softer texture and helped my natural curls be slightly more defined when left to hair dry.
The packaging is cute and simple. I will definitely continue to use this!
All of the Garnier products I’ve tried - hair, face, body - smell truly delicious. I think this is the biggest draw card for their range.
But the banana themed shampoo and conditioner offer little for dry hair. The second ingredient in the shampoo is SLS; I love foamy shampoo and don’t have anything against SLS but it instantly made my hair feel dry and stringy. This meant the conditioner had to work really hard to soften my tangled mess.
While the conditioner did work, it wasn’t anything special. And sadly the yummy smell didn’t seem to last after I had dried my hair.
