Tips: none this product is very easy to use!
I was very excited to try this shampoo & conditioner as in the last year my hair has become very frizzy after I wash it & I have to say I am very impressed! The bottles are not very attractive but are a nice shape to hold when slippery in the shower. I'm not very keen on the scent... It has a distinct macadamia smell, which is no surprise as this is what it is made out of, but I prefer more perfume scents. The shampoo is a clear gel consistency & lathers very easily so you don't need a lot. The conditioner is a thick, white cream & I had a little bit of trouble squeezing it out as it's so thick. My hair tends to tangle easily, so I needed to use quite a lot of conditioner. After a few washes I can feel a slight coating on my hair which is not greasy or weighed down but has calmed the frizz. I would definitely recommend these.
Tips: It takes a few washes before you see the results.
I must admit I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. I only did use it once during my trial period as I don't need to wash my hair often, my hair is coarse and dry in the end due to bleach. I usually use salon shampoo so I am quite happy with how this was on par with the salon products I use. The bottles look like milkshakes, which I haven't decided if it's a pro or a con. The pairing worked fine, I didn't get a chance to see how they worked individually, but my hair did feel soft and clean afterwards so I will be happy continuing using these to see how they go in the long run.
First off, I really like the packaging in this range. It's less bulky than many other hair products I buy, so it's less awkward to manage when wet, and it fits more easily into the shower shelves too. I do quite like the pump-top option generally, but this flip-top lid clicks solidly shut and seals well, which is great for travelling, and it's easy to dispense exactly how much product you want. Plus it's all recyclable, which is a huge plus in my book.
The shampoo and conditioner are both quite a nice, substantial consistency, thick but easily dispensable, and both have a mild, very pleasant, sweet vanilla-y, lightly coconut-y sort of fragrance. Not overpowering at all. Just really nice.
It's the formulas in the Macadamia range that I love the most though. They're just perfect for my dry, thick, very curly hair. They feel gentle, moisturising and nourishing, but don't weigh down my hair at all. I mean, NOT AT ALL. That's amazing, in my experience, as so many 'intensely nourishing' or 'smoothing' or even just 'hydrating' products seem to end up coating the hair. You get the smoothness but it comes with flattened, heavy hair and limp curls. So for me this range really stands out in this regard.
I found I didn't need to use much product at all for them to do their job, so, yes, they come in smaller bottles than some, but they'll last well.
I would absolutely recommend this range to anyone with dry (or very dry) or curly hair. It made my hair feel hydrated and nourished but also clean and light, making my curls really bouncy and shiny. I'm not sure I'd say they were smoother... To achieve really glossy, ultra-defined, smoothed curls, I need to add a leave-in cream or mousse, usually formulated with silicone, sadly. But I generally do that just when I want my hair to look extra special, so for my daily care, I'll be really happy to avoid the nasties and silicones, and keep things as natural as possible with this lovely Macadamia Hair Food. I love it so much, I'm planning to try the leave-in treatment in the same range...
Tips: Less is more!
I really like this shampoo and conditioner. It contains mostly natural ingredients and is absolutely great for my curly hair. I found i needed to use only a very small amount of shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo really cleaned my hair and the conditioner was thick and left my hair tangle free and really nice and soft. Being the small amount of each product you need they would last a good amount of time. The fragrance was really nice I thought but not over powering.
I'm really loving this duo! They smell awesome and the bottle they have come in are the perfect size, not to big not to small and they dont take up alot of space as well as being recyclable. Both have an amazing smell and consistency. The shampoo washes out easy and lathers well, the conditioner leaves your hair nice and soft once it has dried. Overall will definitely be buying this again
Tips: As always a little goes a long way. They conditioner spreads quite far.
Absolutely love these product! It’s great at an affordable price as well as if containing no sulfate making this really good for my curly hair gals that are trying to remove that from there hair routine. The thick texture of the shampoo and conditioner really holds in you hair when you are cleaning or detangling.?
I loved this pairing.
It’s the cutest bottles almost milk bottle like but looks amazing in your shower.
It’s a great set that doesn’t weigh down your hair or make it too puffy. It was nice and gentle but cleansing. My hair was left clean and manageable. I haven’t been styling it for a week so have left it loose and it’s been well acceptable not greasy or in need of taming.
The small is amazing. Probably the biggest selling point for me is a good smelling set. Not so fond of florals but this was amazing.
One thing is I don’t see this or any of their products including the hair mask as my local pack and save which is so odd. So I think I will have to venture to countdown which is notoriously good for stocking garnier and usually at amazing prices too.
These two cute products reminded me of delicious dark/white chocolate, or more importantly an elderly married couple of 60 years' duration. They are cute and very easy-to-use containers. Together they work very well, perhaps the conditioner is a little reluctant to come out of its home, but their appeal and workmanship cannot be faulted. Will definitely buy for myself.
Tips: There is a frugal side to these products - don't pour very much as it's wasted, a smidgen goes a mile.
I trialed Garnier fructis hair food shampoo and conditioner together. I was surprised how much the bottles looked like bottles that drinks come in e.g. chocolate milk, and for that fact I couldn't keep in on the bottom of the shower as I have littlies, but it was nice to keep something for just me anyway. the shampoo is clear, foamed up well, and rinsed clear and easily. and the smell was so good and I could still smell it hours later. the conditioner is nice and thick, and I used a generous amount as I have long hair. it detangled perfectly and left my hair really shiny, that people actually comment how shiny it looked, which I was quite impressed by. I did have to triple rinse it out though, as I didn't rinse it out properly the first time and it left the ends of my hair slimy, the next time however, I got it right, and it was perfect. used together this shampoo and conditioner made my hair look full of lifem shiny and very healthy, it created a perfect base for using my hair straightener as well.
Tips: rinse well, particularly the conditioner. and keep the bottles away from small children to avoid accidental consumption.
