I don't usually buy any Garnier products, but the packaging of this grabbed my attention becuse it was bright, and it clearly shouts 'Watermelon'. I love watermelon, and all things that smell like it - So I had to give this a go. The shampoo is clear - I personally prefer shampoo that is milky/creamy - hopefully I'm making sense. The best way to describe the scent is that it honestly smells exactly like watermelon. It doesn't smell like it's just trying to smell like it. It's almost as though someone has bottle watermelon. It lathers nicely, but my hair felt a bit coarse/like straw once I rinsed the shampoo out. The bottle states that this is for 'Fine hair', which is exactly what my hair is. I honestl can't say that it gave my hair any noticeable volume or life as it promises. I also tried the conditioner, so I will place a review for that too. Overall, 10/10 for scent. I don't see myself buying this again for me, but my 11 year old son loves the smell and is less fussy with his hair, so will likely buy for him to use.

I received this as part of a trial team with other products in the watermelon range. I have fine, low density hair.
I liked the slim profile of this bottle, but found the lid difficult to pop open. This might loosen up more over time and become easier.
The shampoo itself is a very thick gel. This does make it a little harder to squeeze out of the bottle but it doesn't take long to get the hang of this! Because of the thickness you may need extra water to get a suitable lather happening.
This is a lightweight formula, but I found it was actually a bit too drying for my hair. I did start conditioning before shampooing to help lay down some moisture before cleansing and this did help a lot.
It did not weigh down my hair at all, but it didn't add any extra volume for me.
I don't think I would purchase this again due to how drying it is on my hair.
Tips: If you are finding this to be too drying, try conditioning first. It helps with the moisture levels and doesn't impact the effectiveness of cleansing.
A big issue with fine hair is that anything volumising can tend to be drying, anything moisturising tends to weigh your hair down and it is not uncommon to have to wash Every.Day.For.The.Rest Of.Your.Life.This clear shampoo promises to give fine hair volume, bounce and movement. A clear shampoo in a milk bottle style bottle, and smelling of watermelon, this formula is pleasant and cleanses well. BUT...I don't find it any different to any other volumising shampoo. Two things I really liked were the packaging (made from recycled plastic and also recyclable) and the fact that I only had to wash my hair every other day. Which made a nice change. I found it very drying.
My first impression was this was that it looked SO nice! I really like the packaging and love how it's recyclable. The shampoo is nice and thick so a little went quite a long way, it foamed up really well too, so imagine this bottle would last quite a while, especially if you're like me and only wash your hair a couple of times a week or so. This did leave my hair feeling nice and clean but without feeling stripped and dry. I'm not sure that I noticed anything super special about it though that I don't get from my regular shampoo, so not sure that I would specially hunt this one out.
