Garnier Fructis Hair Food Watermelon

I really like this as a mask after I've towel dried my hair, I put some on and leave it. It makes my hair feel so so soft and makes my curls look so defined, and they don't look frizzy!! The one thing I don't like again is the fragrance, it's so overpowering and sickly. But if you can get past that, it's a really good hair mask.

The hair food came in a round tub very much like the previous Garnier’s hair food release. The hair mask smells just yum. I so wished it was bottled up, or came with a scoop below the lid. Although the design does look attractive, i always had problems closing round container lids in the shower for some reason.

As expected it definitely had a consistency thicker and richer than the conditioner. You could use this hair food in three ways. I tried it all and it works well either way. But for me the overall winner was using it as a hair mask. After leaving it in for a minute and rinsing, you could really feel the difference. My hair just felt much lighter, softer, bouncier, and a lot smoother. It really does do what it says.

Love the bright colors on the packaging, makes you definitely want to see what the product is all about. It definitely draws your attention. I love how you can use this in 3 different ways either as a mask, tips for your hair or leave in. To be honest I have only tried 2 ways with this. The head mask felt quit good and made my hair feeling so good afterwards, it detangled my hair and made it feel silky and clean. The other way I used it was just leaving it in the tips of my hair and rinsing it out. This way was just as good making my hair nice a silky and easy to brush.

I tried this mask after the shampoo and another time after using conditioner too. Honestly, I didn't notice a huge difference between using it lone with shampoo or alongside conditioner too. As stated in a previous review on the shampoo. I loved the packaging and that it would deliver a deep treatment without weighing my hair down. Boy has it delivered! I left it on for about 5 mins before rinsing. My hair didn't seem overly ndifferent when first brushing but was completely different as my hair dryed and over the next couple of days. I noticed my hair was softer and not weighed down at all! Will definitely use this again!

I was lucky to be selected to trial this product. I love a multi tasker and a big, fat tub of this watermelon smelling conditioner can be used three ways. As a regular conditioner, as a deep conditioner and on dry hair as a treatment. Of thick consistency and white in colour, I quite liked this product. I tried it the three ways suggested and found it best on my hair as a deep conditioner. While it didn't act like a typical deep conditioner, I did feel that it nourished my hair better than a typical supermarket condtioner.

This delicious watermelon smelling hair mask helped my hair get its natural waviness back! I love this mask as my hair looked and felt great after using it. It comes in a 390ml tub which is great to just grab a dollop out, is vegan, doesn't contain silicons or parabens and is cruelty free. It can be used 3 ways - as a conditioner, leave in longer as a mask or just leave it on and style as normal. I used it as a leave-in and applied to my damp hair then lightly dried it off. Previously my fine hair had been looking a bit lank so I was overjoyed to get some volume and my natural waviness back. I will definitely be buying more of this when I have used it up!

I was lucky enough to trail this Garnier hair mask. The product has a strong fruity smell which was pleasant. I applied to wet hair and left in for 5 minutes and then rinsed out. My hair felt nourished and clean after using this. It didn’t leave my hair feeling heavy either. My hair had a mild watermelon scent afterwards which was nice. I would recommend this product.

I am in love with this hair mask. It smells like watermelon Hubba Bubba in the best way, so delicious. I have quite fine, bleached hair and this left it feeling so soft and silky – could NOT stop touching it. I don't know if it really added all that much volume, but it certainly didn't weigh my hair down at all. I really love that this line is all cruelty-free as well, so great to see so many brands making this a priority. Will 100% re-purchase!

I have fine, thin, flat, smooth silky hair naturally.

Packaging- very colourful and appealing, but the lid isn’t that secure, it was so easy to open, I fear that if I drop this accidentally it will just open up and spill the product.

Fragrance - very refreshing , and not overpowering, even if after I washed this, the watermelon smell stays which I really love!

I have used this all 3 ways but mostly as a conditioner and a leave in conditioner. I wash my hair at night, and then in the morning I just used this as leave-in conditioner.

Texture- creamy similar to yoghurt consistency , a little goes a long way. Volume -I usually leave my hair to airdry. My hair definitely has more bounce and volume

After use, this made my hair feel and looked so smooth, detangled, so easy to comb. It also looked healthy/ nourished and just felt that my hair indeed had ‘hair food’.

I will continue to use this product and will re-purchase. So far the best conditioner I have used.

I trialed this product in exchange for a review, it was my first time ever using hair food. I think having a multipurpose product like this is really handy. I just know one day I'll realize I'm out of conditioner and will be grateful to use hair food until my next shop. Or I'll unexpectedly have to go out somewhere and if my hair isn't up to par, I can use hair food to quickly and easily get it looking decent.

It has a nice fruity scent that isn't overpowering, matching the coordinating shampoo and conditioner. It has a very creamy texture, reminded me of a thick day cream, but it's very easy to spread on hair. When using it as a leave in treatment I found that a little went a long way, and given the large size of the tub, I think this makes the product quite economical, even with my long hair. A downside of the large tub size is that it's awkward to use in the shower and it was too bulky to fit anywhere.

I preferred using it as a leave in treatment. When using it on dry hair I worried that it would leave my hair looking stringy or leave a residue, but it was quickly absorbed and I was pleased with the result. My dry split ends did seem noticeably shinierand smoother, though I can't say I noticed any extra volume. My fine hair is typically flat and volumising products don't ever really work for me, so I wasn't too surprised that despite it's claims, the hair food was no different.
