I have very fine and limp hair that really needs help to achieve volume. My hair is bleached, and I use a fair bit of heat on it. This product, no matter how much I used - matted my hair. It didn't leave the usual smooth, conditioned feeling - it felt squeaky - like I had just used a very gentle shampoo instead of a conditioning treatment. I was really disappointed and actually gave it away after a few tries. On the upside, it smells amaaaazing!!!

I love love this stuff, I use it as my regular conditioner. It has a great scent, which lingers on the hair all day after washing. It's also smoothing without being heavy!
Tips: Make sure you keep it to the ends, as it's a bit heavy for roots. The packaging isn't my favourite to use in the shower, so I recommend keeping it on a shelf not in direct water spray so you can open and close it better.
My daughter is 13 and never had a hair cut due to cultural reasons so I needed to find something really good for her hair. This does everything it is meant too. We use as a leave in treatment. I love the fact it's over 90% natural, it smells like you could eat it and it's cruelty free.
Tips: We leave in overnight and water out in the morning.
I really love this product as when I add it to my hair it makes it smell like watermelon candy but after a while it gives off a plastic like smell full of chemicals. I do like how it would make my hair feel very silky and it works way better than any other hair food I've tried. Definitely would recommend and is good for its price.
This works well as a leave-in and as a standard conditioner. My hair is fine, has been bleached, and I go about 5 days between washes, and it works well for me. It is also curlygirl method approved. The tub is a real pain in the shower, however, as it is bulky and hard to open and close with wet, conditioner-covered hands! The scent is okay, though I'm not a huge fan of watermelon. I would prefer if they had different scent options for fine hair. I like that this product is natural and has no silicones
Tips: Use below ears only as it will weigh down roots
I recently tried the Garnier Fructis Hair Food and I am absolutely in love with it! I have been using it primarily as a conditioner and not only does it leave my hair feeling smooth and silky, but it also leaves a fresh watermelon scent that lingers in my hair all day long.
The only downside to this product that I found was the container. It can be a bit hard to use, especially when your hands are wet in the shower. I would love a pump option as I would find it much easier to use.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Garnier Fructis Hair Food to anyone looking for an amazing conditioner that leaves their hair feeling soft and smelling great. It has become a staple in my hair routine, and I can't imagine using any other conditioner.
I don’t rate these garnier hair foods, I did use it in all 3 ways it claims you can, I used it as a deep conditioner mostly though and felt it did nothing. I think it’s a glorified conditioner and nothing better.
Smells so good, Leaves my hair really smooth after wash as its strong texture, only a little is needed. It lasts long and you can also buy the shampoo as it doesn't make my sensitive hair feel weighted down, Make sure you wash it out good and its nice to build curls too
Loved the new garnier shampoo and conditioner so when I was seeking the banana flavour from countdown I grabbed this and I was not disappointed!
It was cheap which I always love and it lasts so long for a hair mask. I usually use banana but tried this and love it just as much.
My kid used it too which makes washing and brushing her hair easy as. Plus she loves the smell much like myself. It smells equally as nice as the banana.
The nice creamy mask texture again and smells so nice the next day when dry also.
Leaves my hair smooth and strangled. The one thing with it though... it’s hard to find as my usual pack and save don’t stock garnier!! So it means special trips to other supermarkets as I either use this of L’Oréal. I like to mix it up but I generally tend to have this in the house so it can be a hunt if I need it.
Love this and ultimately it’s worth the trip!
Bought this for my damaged wavy hair, in hopes of restoring some of the natural bounce and curls, which I did not find it did at all. Only reason I liked it so much was because of the delicious smell! If your looking for a generally affordable yummy smelling hair product, I would recommend. However, if you are looking for something to give your hair shine and volume, maybe try something else.
Tips: Make sure to close the lid properly if you keep it in the shower, knocked mine off the shelf and lost half the product!
