I've been dying my hair for a good 12 years now and every time I use Garnier it seems to fade out a lot faster then other products leaving my hair colour dull and lifeless at the end (Week 3-6) and I often find myself going back to my usual favourites early when I have hardly any re-growth. In saying that the initial dye is very easy and the colour does look fantastic. I'm not a fan of the smell of hair dye I find it to potent and sometimes makes my head hot. It has a good coverage and absorbs really well into my hair. Good product just fades far to fast!

"Rich, deep, long-lasting colour Perfect 100% grey coverage, even on stubborn greys" UM NO!!!
Smells gorgeous looks gorgeous.
Thought it sounded gorgeous.
But sadly it faded so fast and didn't really cover greys.
Literally after 3 washes the greys were coming through, it was almost as tho....it was washing of my hair!!
I wouldn't use it again.
I used dark red.
I found this very easy to apply and best of all it did not drip so there was no mess to clean up - I had to use 2 packets due to extremely long and thick hair. It left my hair feeling nice and smooth.
Overall It covered my hair well and initially the grey hairs were covered although I found that in less than a week the colour was fading from my grey hairs very fast (I do wash my hair daily) - Such a pity because the colour was awesome - probably best for people with no greys.
Tips: Longer hair use 2 boxes
I found this really easy to apply and found I got good coverage with it. The smell isn't overly chemical and has a delicious smelling after conditioner. I enjoyed using this to colour my hair.
I always look for this range 1st when purchasing new hair dye. Its great value for money, gives greys!! and its easy to apply! I have noticed it lasts about 6 weeks in my hair which isn't bad but would prefer a bit longer
I bought this dye because it was on special (only $10) and I needed to tone down some unwanted redness after lightening my hair. I bought an ash blonde shade which did a good job of getting rid of the red/copper tones in my hair.
The product itself is easy to apply. It has a great creamy texture which means that it actually stays where you put it instead of running down the back of your neck. It also has a fairly pleasant scent for a box dye.
I'm not sure what effect Garnier Nutrisse had on the condition of my hair because I had pre-lightened it beforehand, so my hair already felt quite dry. However the conditioner supplied in the box left my hair feeling much softer and silkier afterwards.
I love this hair dye! It's cheap, it's easy and it does what it says in my opinion.
I get the Chocolate Brown shade and the colour is very true to the box. I often find with other brands that the browns go very dark in my hair, and with my lighter completion, I end up looking very pale.
I don't like the gloves that they provide. They're very plastic feeling and are bigger than my hands so it ends up being a bit of a pain when I apply the dye. I prefer the latex type because they are more fitted and don't move around on your hands like these ones. The instructions are easy to follow with wee diagrams so it's hard to mess it up.
The conditioning treatment is my favourite part. It smells great! Very fruity and fresh and it leaves your hair so silky soft afterwards!
My hair tends to fade colour out, regardless of if it's box dye or if I go to the salon, and unfortunately this dye isn't any different. I generally will get about 4-5 weeks out of it but for the price you pay, it's not bad at all =)
Tips: - If you have longer hair like me (below my waist), definitely get two boxes. And then as an added bonus, you will get two of the conditioning treatments! Win!
- Shop around. I don't think I have ever paid more than $10 per box as it's on special somewhere almost every week
This is probably the only hair dye (except one) that I have used in the past two years or so. I love that you can smell the delicious Garnier smell through the box, it just makes it that much more enticing.
The dye is like most others, it comes with three liquids, two of which you mix together, the third a conditioner. It doesn't smell overly like ammonia, it's actually quite pleasant to use.
I let it sit for 20-30 minutes. Sometimes I wrap my hair in glad wrap and only do it for 15 - hair dye is super weird when it's under glad wrap or wrapped in tin foil, it heats up!! I rinse it in the shower and I shampoo it to help get the color off my scalp, followed by the conditioner that comes with the dye.
The conditioner is thick and smells great, but I think the bottle that it comes in needs to be revisited because I struggle to get all of it out! I store it upside down in the shower in hopes of getting it out and when I am at the final dredges I pour a bit of hot shower water into the bottle, shake it up, and use that in my hair.
The dye colors are exactly what they say they are, and I've personally never had any problems with this hair dye. Garnier forever!!
It is a good product and is cheap, but I love my hair and find it dry's my hair out after a few days and I can never find the right blond that I am looking for so my hair colour is always changing, and I am always having to redo it after 4 weeks. but love the conditioner.
I don't normally dye my hair, normally once every two years or so but when I do I always use Garnier Nutrisse. Application is easy, espiecially when you get someone else like your mum to do it. The end result however is really satisfactory. Colour has always been to my liking as it looks natural and hair doesn't look damaged or anything like that.
Tips: Use Vaseline on hair line or behind ears to prevent stains around these areas on skin. If you have long hair like I do, use 2 boxes for better results and use the conditioner that they give until it's finished.
