This was a nice colour on the box, for my shade it should have been more vibrant (it said vibrant red after all). Its an OK colour but not as bright and flamboyant as I had hoped for. It seems to last well (was about 3/4 weeks ago and my hair fades fast) it has kept its colour. the application was a tad patchy (that may not have been the colour but the application) and the colour doesn't seem to have taken over the previous shade that was there. It has made the roots brighter (which is strange as they are usually the darkest). while this colour was nice I won't be purchasing it again

Tips: Maybe best suited for light hair (blonde to very light brown) wanting a nice red colour but not for mid really for brown and darker
I usually use Swarzkopf hair dye (hypnotic red) but i wanted to try this brand as it wouldnt have been as harmful to my hair - I dye my hair red. I tried the 6.60 Intense Red. After I washed my hair, I noticed that the colour wasnt as vibrant or as shiny as the Swarzkopf and the colour didnt wear as long. I usually get 4 weeks with Swarzkopf and i found i needed to recolour after 3. I definately wont be trying this again.
Clear simple instructions were within the box.The mixture was easy to mix and the cardboard box holder was handy when trying to empty the containers into the application bottle. I did find the product dripped easily from the bottle, other than that application was standard. Love the fact there was no strong smell of ammonia. Processing took 30 mins and then I washed it out in the shower followed by the application of conditioner supplied. Product rinsed out easily and I dried my hair off after finding it easy to style. The colour is as indicated on the box for my base hair colour. My hair is soft and shiny, love the feeling of my hair after using this product.
Tips: Put something down to catch drips as I did find it tended to drip from the bottle more easily than products I usually use.
I'm a bit torn about this product, but will most likely continue using it because of the amazing colour. I use the shade Intense Red, which I have got so many complements on and truly love.
Unfortunately I think that is where the positives end. The application is awful, it's oil based, and feels like it. My hair felt so heavy and greasy I just wanted to shampoo it again and again, but didn't want to wash the colour out. I think that it is a it less drying and damaging and is nice to not have the ammonia smell but I don't think it's worth that. The formula is also quite difficult to spread thought the hair, I've coloured my own hair so many times and this was the first time i'd had a patchy result, so I was extra careful the second time. It just feels like it clumps in the hair a little bit.
The other big downside is how fast it fades, especially as the colour I use is meant to be intense, it doesn't look quite so good after a couple of weeks.
I would love suggestions for other products in similar shades so that I don't have to buy this again!
Colour: blue black Price: $15
I dye my hair every 6 months just to keep the colour so I decided to buy this brand of hair colour I thought it was cool because it says it has non ammonia so that's good.
So as usual I applied it waited for 45 mins then rinsed out. It looked good no bad opinion on that. But 2 days later I washed my hair with one of my colour last shampoos and conditioner it completely washed the colour and my brown came back threw. I guess black is the hardest colour to maintain but I've never used a dye that washed it out so badly.
I haven't used that brand since.
Dark blonde 7.0
I found this the best lightening hair dye yet! 2/3 of my hair was very light very blonde and the regrowth was brown. And I wanted a colour that would make it all one colour. I used 2 boxes as my hair is quite thick and long.
It's Easy to mix, add the colour cream and developer into the application bottle give it a good shake for a good minute. There was no horrendous ammonia smell mixing it. Easy to apply I love the fact that the application bottle has a really long tip so it's super easy to get to the roots and see what your doing. It is a thick creamy texture so there were no drips And made it easy to handle. What I really liked about this dye was no ammonia smell or the breathtaking smell of bleach. It was rather pleasant Almost a sort of fruity smell to it. I left the dye in for 45 minutes it was easy to wash out in the shower and the care conditioner comes in a nice big tube so it's easy to dispense on your hand. Afterwards I noticed it was easy to dry and style as normal. The colour did however come out a more of an ash blonde than a dark blonde especially in the lighter parts but I do like it. My hair looks pretty even all over now. It feels smooth soft and tangle free not how my hair usually feels after being lightened, usually stripped and fragile and tangles easily
When I first used the product I was so happy because it was so much nicer to apply than my regular hair dye as well as not including Ammonia like most permanent hair dyes do. However a couple weeks after I dyed my hair the brown faded and my regrowth became visible again as well as the new regrowth which left me looking rather tragic. It did leave my hair feeling healthier for a couple weeks though which was nice :)
I have been using Intense Red for over 6 months now and will continue to use. I find it much less damaging on my thin hair than most dyes I've used (and I've been colouring my hair for nearly 20 years!) No overpowering ammonia smell and a good consistency when applying. It is very easy to apply- doesnt run and I find there's quite a lot in the bottle. The colour does fade a little faster than an ammonia based dye but for how gentle it is on my hair I feel it's still a better option. The conditioner that comes with the colour is also very nice.
Tips: I leave this dye on for a little longer than recommended and apply a little bit of heat.
At first I was nervous about trying a new dye but the no ammonia court my attention. The bottle was a generous size and mixing the product was tidy and quick to do. There was no nasty smell and coverage was easy to apply. Having grey highlights I always look for something that is going to cover them up and last, this product did that and has continued to hold it's colour for 3 weeks and still strong. The dye was a lot easier to rinse out and the final colour was bright bold and my hair looked shiny. I would happily use this product again
I purchased this from the supermarket in a hurry as needed to pep up my hair for going out.
The bottle is a bit unusual and at times slipped out of my hands as it is quite wide to hold.
I really like that this product doesn't have the nasty chemical smell that other hair dyes come with. It mixed up easily and the directions were straight forward. This was easy to apply apart from the odd shaped bottle.
The results were gorgeous initially but after a few washes the colour faded alot and became very dull.
