GHD Eclipse Review

I wouldn't have bought this myself since it's so expensive, but I was one lucky girl when my then boyfriend (now husband) gave me a GHD Eclipse for my 25th birthday. I’ve had it for three years now. It came nicely package with care in a box and the colour is a nice chic black.

I don't think I can try other hair tools after using the GHD Eclipes. Not only does it straighten the hair, it can curl too and leaves a nice shine with a lightweight feel. There also hasn’t been any significant damage to my hair after using it over the years. Compared to many other brands I’ve tried, the number of split ends have been minimal.

I see what all the rave was about since I own one. I say it's worth it for the price and a great investment for the hair, especially since it lasts years unlike many other hair straighteners.

I had been using an instyler for many years, it was cracked and really was time to throw out. I did a bit of research and finally decided on a GHD. I only straighten my hair after I have washed it so generally 1-2 times a week.

I love the long cord, very handy if the plug point is away from the mirror. Also this thing heats up in literally seconds! Flick the on switch then it beeps when you are good to go.

I have really long hair and I find it super quick to straighten with these. It takes about 10 minutes to beautiful smooth hair. It stays straight for days. I sometimes give it another quick go over if I use dry shampoo.

This is hands down the best straightener I have ever used and I feel like money well spent.

I used a big ol' Remington Wet-to-Straight straightener for years, it was the only thing that would get through my hair. I then cut my hair back in 2015 and after years of burning it to a crisp with the Remington I started my search for the best straightener (that wouldn't damage my hair further) and stumbled across this one.

I really liked the idea that it would maintain a constant heat of 185°C and not ruin my hair, and I had so many friends that recommended GHDs, so I took the leap of faith and purchased one online.

When it came in the mail I was super excited, and instantly fell in love with the box, case, heat-protecting mat and of course the hair straightener itself, just looking at it felt like it was worth the money I paid for it, and after running it through my hair I was very very pleased with my purchase!

I was really impressed by the cute turn on chime and the fast heat up time and how it made my hair shiny and glided through like it wasn't an issue, made me realise that I should've made the switch long before!

It's almost been 4 years since I purchased this and it still looks like new (I'm not an everyday/week straightener, maybe a few times a month?) and I know that when I need to repurchase one of these I won't second guess the price—take the leap, do it!

My partner bought me this as a Christmas present as I had been using a very cheap VS Sasoon one for years and the plates would always tug at my hair so I avoided using it as much as I could. My GHD one is amazing. Heats up in record time, doesn’t tug my hair and my hair feels good after using it and looks silky and smooth
