GHD Eclipse Review

I love my Eclipse, I converted to this after my original GHD was stolen! The speed to reach temperature appears faster than my original GHD, and I love love love the feature that switches the GHD off if you leave it on and inactive for 15mins plus! - Yay for no more minor heart attacks about if you left it on or not.

I have always been a fan of the original GHD and was hesitant about trying a new one but from the first use I wouldn't go back to any other. It heats up quickly, straightens perfectly and lasts all day unlike other straightners ive tried where my hair goes frizzy by mid day. It will curl your hair however not QUITE as easily as the previous model due to it not being as hot.

I absolutely love my GHD! I had my first GHD for over 4 years (got stood on :( boo)! Luckily I was able to get another and this one has been going strong for another 3-4 years and I absolutely love it! I wouldn't buy any other brand after using it. I have super thick curly hair and it only takes me about 20 minutes to get a perfectly straight look! I need to learn hot to curl my hair and ill be sussed :)! This straightener gives a perfect shiny straight finish and I use it daily :)!!

I use this ghd a lot at work and i would honestly just love to purchase one for myself. I find the eclipse gives such a sleek and smooth effect without having to run it through the hair over and over again. It leaves the hair looking beautiful and shiny. It creates the most perfect curls and the shape of the barrel means it doesnt leave any lines in the hair like the older type ghds can leave. It runs through the hair extremely smoothly. I love that you can curl with it, but if you change your mind a couple minutes later, you can instantly run the ghd through again and the hair is straightened, where as i found with the older ones it wouldnt get the curl out unless you left it to totally cool and then went over quite a few times. The white eclipse is beautiful!

I have been lucky enough to go through 3 GHDs in 6 years (and I say lucky because I didn't break any of them, I won the last two so I'm constantly upgrading). My GHD eclipse is hands down the best I have had, the previous models being a Gold IV and a Pink Diamond V. The straighteners work a breeze, with fine, straight hair naturally, I just need to run this baby over once for each section and I have straight hair. 3 minutes, tops. If I want super-dead-straight hair, I section it and go over each section slowly, twice. It works a dream, straight like a ruler. The bonus functions, like the heating time and on-off noises, and the auto-power off feature, are just icing on the top of a great product. The only thing I can't do is curl, and the barrel on the eclipse would be perfect for this. But that's user error, not the products fault!

I got a wonderful surprise at Christmas. My partner had brought me the GHD Eclipse. It came in a sleek black box.

When I opened it. It was in a black and rose gold carry case. I opened the case to find a white and gold shiny hair straightner. There was a heat proof cup case to go over the tip of the straightner. My hair type is thick wavy. Its super hard to manage. So getting this was a blessing.

When I plugged my straightner in it made a ringing noise. Wow, never have I had a straightner make a noise like that. The light around the Ghd emblem lit up.

I section my hair with hair ties, I always start from the bottom up. What normally takes me an hour and a half. Takes me 30 minutes. Can you believe that. So fast. I only need to go over my hair once. Never have I been able to do that. I normally have to go over it at least three times to get a sleek effect.

As a first time GHD user I have to say this is the best straightner I have ever used. With my thick mane being tamed into sleek hair . I am over and above happy. Definitely worth buying as a long term hair device. I would recommend to ladies with thick hair like mine. It will not disappoint you.

when i first heard about ghd bringing out a new styler i needed it. ! before i brought it , It would take me 20-30mins to iron my hair, now it takes me 10-15 mins, I would say it is more difficult to curl with this styler just because it is a little thicker, but it does create nice ones just when you get used to it.

Best hair straightener I've ever used glides so easily through any sort of hair and keeps it straight for the whole day unlike the other brands decently worth every cent and heats up so quickly so you can still do your hair even when your in a rush also turns off if you forget to after half an hour

I love my eclipse ! Its the first GHD I have owned , and it does the best job. The plates slide smoothly , it is comfortable to hold and the size is perfect. It isn't too chunky to hold , or too small. It heats up very quickly and straightens my hair a lot quicker than other straighteners.

The fact that it rings when it has heated up is very cool & that it turns off itself when it hasn't been used after a few minutes is a great addition as I often forget to turn them off. I also love the packaging , comes in a beautiful bag and heatproof mat.

I am quite lucky to of had the chance to choose which straightener I want to use, and for a long time the eclipse has always been my number one. its super quick! which 3 heated areas on each plate rather then 1 on the old ones, you can take bigger sections! which makes it so much faster and smoother!
