My hair is shortish and this is the GHD he uses on it at the salon to style with. I have the standard GHDs and if they ever decided to give up the ghost I would definitely change them to the mini stylers as they gave the 'flick' at the ends of my hair better than the normal ones.

GHD Gold Mini Styler Review
Glimmering gold accents and plates and an enhanced design make this GHD V gold mini styler the luxurious option for shorter hair.
Narrow plates allow for precision styling, such as smoothing out cowlicks, kinks and fringes, and for straightening right from the root. Smoother gold plates glide effortlessly through the hair to make straightening even quicker and easier, while their contoured edges help to create perfect curls and waves, all with a high shine, salon-style finish.
A handy protective plate guard also allows you to pack up your styler straight after use while an automatic sleep mode is activated if the styler isn't used for 30 minutes.
Universal voltage ensures you’ll get the same styling performance wherever you are in the world, making this styler a great choice if you travel frequently.

I would use this when I had shorter hair and I loved it. I was blonde at the time and it was so easy to straighten those broken bits that tend to have a mind of their own so this was great for being able to really straighten them. Great for curling too. Overall I think all GHD's are great but for me, having short blonde hair (at the time) it was defiantly a winner.
I use to use these all the time when I was working in a salon. Thy are perfect for fringes or short hair or if you have fine hair they are amazing too. So easy to use and your hair doesn't grip to them so it's nice and easy on your head (no hair pulling).
Tips: Don't Bother trying to use these mini straighteners if you have thick ish hair as it will take you all day to straighten
I use my mini GHD every day for my Bettie Page style vintage fringe, as the normal GHD is a little too big. Perfect for people with fringes or short hair. Cant go wrong with GHD!
I love these and use them all the time. Are great for short/medium hair. Perfect for a quick fringe tidy up. Are compact and small enough to fit perfect in overnight bag or pack in case when travelling. Would recommend these without hesitation
Tips: Always use heat protection products
GHD’s are known for their quality - such great hair styling tools. This version of the GHD is especially for those with medium- short hair. The plates are smaller.
The tool heats up fast and works so well up straighten any kinks. Your hair is left smooth and shiny.
Also, it’s just so simple to use these GHD’s and they really are worth the amount you pay for these. I have been using GHD’s for so many years and they are still going strong.
Five stars from me.
My hair over the years has become increasingly thinner and when I bought this straightener I had thicker hair so I was sceptical if I could straighten my hair in a time efficient manner. It turns out that with the thick hair it wasn't great for flattening the whole hair but it was good for touching up roots when my hair became kinked over time. Now, with thinner hair its kind of perfect for the whole hair and it can still be used to add some curls if you angle it right. It has also lasted me about 5 years now with no problems so I would say it is good quality.
I have thick hair so I never used this straightener a lot, only to do touch ups and my fringe. But I did use this on my aunts hair as she had short and thinner hair than me and this is sooo handy and fast on your hair, especially for them tight curls.
Best little straightener for short hair or ya fringe!! great for doing mini curl jobs at the end of a hair up too
Being a hairdresser I used GHDs a lot and these worked especially well for fringes to sit flat to to use on short hair, even males!
Tips: Be careful where you use it, as they are a little smaller you can sometimes leave a little kink or if curling the curl can be too small. Always use heat protector!
