I have had this straightener for about 5 years now and it is still going strong. I just worry about storage and wrapping the cord around the base of the straightener as I have heard that this sometimes breaks the cord. No other easy way of storing it though?
It still heats up very quickly and it clearly beeps when it is ready to use.
Definitely worth the price, think of it as an investment
I like this GHD because it’s nice classic, light and easy to use. It’s just a simple straightener but it’s efficient to use and heats up quickly also a bonus!

I have bought so many styling tools over the hears - wet to straightners (awful!), curling tongs, wave creaters ive been sucked in by lots of things...but i have had GHD's for 10 years now and i cant remember how i survived wtihout them ! i am onto my second pair but i use them almost daily so they dont owe me any favours...absolutely love them, wouldnt bother using any other straightner i have really fine flyaway hair so it keeps it nicely sealed and shiny. love !!
Tips: I use the GHD Gold Glimmer just rub a little bit in my hands and put through (i bought this like 5 years ago so the packaging has changed)

Best straightener i have ever purchased. keeps my frizzy/unmanageable hair tamed been using it for a few years now and i love it.
I had resisted the urge to buy straighteners until recently, believing they weren't good for fine coloured hair. And the jury is still out to be honest. However I like the effect .. Smooth straight hair with much less fly away and susceptibility to humid conditions. I use my GHDs about twice a week, and use their heat protectant product in my hair as well. There is a very long cord and from switching on they are ready to go quickly... I like them and recommend them..
Tips: Use a quality heat protect product and see the BR 'how to' video ... Helpful for effective results..
I got given this to me for my birthday after my remington finally died after using it for 10 years. And i am in love!!! i have wanted a GHD as long as i could remember but i never could justify spending $300 on a straightener i wouldnt use all the time.
Knowing how it works now, i wish i bought it earlier. It is nice and slimline which is easy to store and travel with. I love the thin barrels which allow me to curl my hair as well. It makes me hair so smooth and straight and will last all day. It straightens my thick, coarse and frizzy hair so easily and i cant see how i ever lived without one.

I purchased my pair of GHDs to replace a remington set 6 years ago and they still work as well as the day I got them! They have a sleek design and a non tangle cord (which is brilliant) and are really easy to hold making them simple to use. I have a thick head of long hair and i get get my hair poker straight in 15-20 mins with my GHDs. I only wish there was a variable temp control (but lets be honest, I'd still always use them on full!) I bought a set of wide plate Cloud 9s last year and although I prefer these (the wider plates get the job do e just a bit quicker) I still wouldnt hesitate to buy another set of GHDs. Theyre expensive, but you really do get what you pay for!
I love my GHD its my favorite hot tool. I like that it has one temperature setting which is hot enough to straighten my curly med length hair in about 10 minutes while also giving it a healthy shine. It's a gorgeous sleek design that doesn't have a hot exterior when in use. I also am incredibly grateful for the standby feature it's saved my home far too many times to count haha. My only con is my hair sometimes get snagged in the plates causing some damage.
Tips: Also the perfect tool to give you loose bouncy curls.
this GHD like all GHD hair straighteners is great my hair is naturally curly and with a few glides with it and my hair was silky straight. it's a great straightener lasted for a few yeas but sadly the gold band starting to wear off and stoped straightening my hair in a few swipes so I sadly but happily I had to replace it. A great purchase and worth the splurge.
