Sometimes it helps with dandruff but other times it actually irritates my sculp. Seemed really good but maybe it made my hair too dry?

Tips: Would recommend trying a small bottle before buying a large one
I’ve always had moderate dandruff which is easily kept under control with a pyrithione zinc shampoo. If it gets really bad I opt for T-gel. But I’ve never considered an anti-dandruff conditioner. In my mind it seems superfluous when the shampoo by itself works just fine.
The main ‘smoothing’ ingredient in this product is dimethicone. This is effective initially, but with long term use can weigh down the hair with a silicone coating that prevents moisture from penetrating the hair shaft. So for dry, damaged, or brittle hair this might not work long-term unless you pair it with a deep conditioning treatment too.
I likely won’t buy this again as I am happy with other more intense conditioners, and I’m satisfied that the Head and Shoulders shampoo works well on its own.
I really enjoyed using this conditioner. It has a lovely thick formula and I found that it went through my hair very easily. When I wash my hair is the only time I comb through it with my fingers, and it was very easy to do with this conditioner. After washing the conditioner out, my hair was incredibly silky feeling. The only thing that marks this product down for me is that, when my hair dried, it was left quite fluffy. I haven't found this with many other conditioner products that I've used. I just left my hair natural, but the fluffiness may have been combated with a followup product like a cream or spray. Overall, if you're looking for something to help with dandruff and aren't after a frilly conditioner, this does the job!
First impressions about the conditioner was the delicious smell! It smells divine, and on squeezing it out of the bottle it was really thick and creamy.
My first thought about the bottle size was "that's not going to last me a week". Given the length of my hair I go through a lot of shampoo and conditioner, so even though I didn't think the bottle was going to last, I was impressed at how thick the conditioner and hoped it meant I didn't have to use as much as I normally would.
The conditioner has plenty of coverage and I did need to use less than my normal conditioner, I had to take a bit of time to really massage through my hair though as the shampoo had made my hair feel like a tangled, clumped together, straw-like mess.
After massaging it through and leaving it in for a few minutes, it rinsed out nicely and my hair seemed to feel tangle free and soft.
Wrong. Each time I've used this over the trial period I've had to fight to work the tangles and knots out of my hair. - taking me two or three times longer to do my hair in the mornings.
After using it twice I also noticed my hair was itching than before trialing the product.
Although I'm sure this would be a fantastic product for hair that's not like mine, I'd not purchase it myself.
I used this in conjunction with the shampoo and it was okay. I prefer my redken conditioner as my hair feels much smoother afterwards. I would have preferred a thicker consistency from a conditioner but it had a nice smell and my hair felt reasonably smooth after using it. I also haven’t had dandruff this week but I feel like the shampoo would be enough on its own to address dandruff
I'm going to preface this by saying that I haven't had enough time to really see a change in my hair from this product, as I've only had it for 3 days.
This conditioner feels nice and silky and left my hair nice and soft after drying it. The scent isn't overpowering which is nice as I've found previous Head and Shoulders products to have a distinct strong smell which I associate with anti-dandruff products. I haven't really noticed any particular anti-dandruff effects but that's likely due to me washing my hair more frequently than usual for this review - my dandruff starts building up after a couple of days post-washing, and I had to wash my hair daily in order to review it, so I can't comment on that.
Tips: Rinse out with cold/lukewarm water to keep your hair nice and moisturised.
Important to note that I used this conditioner straight after the Clean and Balanced shampoo, as part of the dandruff fighting system it works but I'm not sure I'd use it on it own. One thing I loved about this conditioner is that the bottle stands on its lid! The shampoo had the lid at the top so it's nice and easy to tell them apart and who doesn't find themselves squeezing the last drop of conditioner out of the bottle while still having heaps of shampoo left! The conditioner is glossy white and spread evenly throughout my hair, still with a touch of scent but I think the shampoo was stronger smelling. I left the conditioner in while I deforested my legs as I was concerned my hair felt dry and tangled after using the shampoo. I felt like it took a little longer to rinse completely out of my hair than my standard conditioner does, not exactly a plus with the current water restrictions but eventually seemed to have rinse out completely. I gave my hair a final rinse of cooler water which seemed to help My hair felt soft and silky no trace of the earlier tangles. I was surprised to find less frizz when I left my hair to dry naturally rather than straight into it with the hairdryer, maybe a little more definition in my natural wave.
I know the regime is designed for regular use but I feel like for me it would be more of a product I'd use to reduce buildup and when my hair was oilier than usual, not every second day.
Tips: A colder rinse seems to help cut through the conditioner quicker!
Well, I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting results straight away...But here I am..With shiny, healthy looking hair after just one use. The frazzly end bits are gone, my hair doesn't feel weighted down and no dry, itchy scalp. Conditioner tends to leave my hair feeling heavy and because I have a fringe, I can get spots from my hair sitting on my forehead. But, my forehead and scalp felt really clean and healthy all day. Hair has shine and looks thicker and less knotty. Oh and it doesn't smell like a doctor prescribed it. So, actually impressed and that doesn't happen..Ever..And suggest you take a chance on this conditioner.
Tips: If you can't use the shampoo because it could affect your hair colour, don't discount the conditioner..It won't strip your colour and a healthy scalp means your hair will hold colour longer.
I received this product as part of a BR trial but I have used this product before as well. I think this conditioner does a solid job of conditioning hair after using the shampoo from the same range. This claims to be more effective than a non-anti dandruff conditioner when used with the shampoo but I find the shampoo already does the job pretty well so I prefer to use a more richer conditioner as my hair can be quite dry or frizzy otherwise.
Tips: If you want better dandruff control, consider using this product after the shampoo from the same range.
I didn't see much of a difference when I started to use this. I was already using the shampoo version, but when I added the conditioner I expected to see a difference in my scalp but didn't really affect my dandruff. It was however like a normal conditioner and it left my hair smooth and silky after with a fresh scent like the shampoo counterpart. But I don't think it is necessary to buy this.
