Head and Shoulders Clean & Balanced Regime Reviews

I had used Head and Shoulders in the past, but it was many years ago. This week I trialled the Head and Shoulders Shampoo and Conditioner. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice, normal scent! The combination left my hair soft and silky, yet not weighed down. I have super long hair and depending on the season, mild/medium dandruff. I had no fallout after the first wash!!! I’m excited to give hubby’s hair a good too as his dandruff is bad!

This regime works well for the management of dandruff. The shampoo leaves your hair feeling super clean and gets rid of all the flakes. The conditioner leaves your hair feeling silky and smooth but still fresh. I would highly recommend.

First impressions about the shampoo and conditioner was the delicious smell! They smell divine, and on squeezing them out of the bottle they are really thick and creamy.

Given the length of my hair I go through a lot of shampoo and conditioner, so how thick the shampoo and conditioner were hopefully meant I didn't have to use as much as I normally would.

The shampoo lathers really well, and my hair did actually feel cleaner than it does with my normal shampoo.

This is sadly where the praise ends though. When I washed the shampoo out, my hair felt like a tangled, clumped together, straw-like mess. I couldn't get my fingers through it to was the shampoo out properly, so had to rely on just rinsing. Thank goodness for conditioner!

I spent a good amount of time massaging the conditioner through my hair to try to untangle it, I left it in for a few minutes then rinsed it out. My hair felt clean, and I hoped the conditioner had helped with the tangles.

Unfortunately I was wrong, and had to spend a good amount of time wrestling the tangles out.

After using it twice I also noticed my hair was itching than before trialing the product. After four days I also noticed my hair was harder to brush and wasn't as smooth and soft as normal. Although my hair FELT cleaner, the tangles and texture of it have put me off continuing to use these products.

Although I'm sure this would be a fantastic product for hair that's not like mine, I'd not purchase it myself.

I have been using these products a few times this week and i am already noticing my scalp is better.

Since i have stopped bleaching my hair and gone back to my natural dark brown colour, i have had issues with my scalp and roots. My roots are always greasy and oily looking and my scalp always feels like there is a build up of...well i dont know what the build up is, but it's gross...and i 'snow' (as my mum calls it).

After just 3 washes on every second day, i already notice a huge difference. Honestly dont know why i waited to get this product myself hehehe. But now i know how to fix my problems, i will maintain it!

I only use small amounts of the product about suze of a 50c piece; 2 rounds of shampoo and 1 round of conditioner. I enjoy the scent; i dont find it chemically. The product i find to be quite thick compared to my regular shampoo and conditioner (that's not a bad thing; just an observation). My hair feels smooth soft and clean. It hasn't made my hair fall out more than a couple stand here and there (i used one brand and i had HUGE hair fallout...but that's another story).

For now, i love this product. I recommend this product...it actually works! I will continue using it. Thumbs up H&S

I’ve always stayed clear of dandruff shampoo as I always thought it wouldn’t suit my thick curly hair. After a couple of washes with this shampoo I noticed way less flaking and definitely not as itchy. I seem to be able to go a extra day or so before needing to wash my hair.

I was worried about the conditioner not being moisturising enough for very curly & damaged hair. However I was Presently surprised. After conditioning my hair felt soft and my curls weren’t frizzy and were defined without any extra products!! It does have a slight scent to it, smells quite clean and refreshing, nothing too strong and doesn’t linger on your hair. Can’t wait to keep using it and see further results!

This one was a bit of a tight review and I normally wouldn't wash my hair twice in 4 days unless I had a special night out and a lot of product buildup. That being said, with the second shampoo and conditioner application tonight my hair is only maybe fractionally drier than usual on the ends and my scalp feels great. These products work really well together, the only downside for me is the scent. For some reason my nose really doesn't like it and I can't stop smelling it!! The shampoo is a surprising thickness and you'll definitely need less than you think to get a nice rich lather that penetrates to the scalp easily. I did experience a few tangles after rinsing out the shampoo but the conditioner soon sorted those out. The conditioner was easy to work through from roots to tips and once rinsed out properly left my hair feeling great. I did need to add a little serum to the dry ends of my hair when blow-drying straight away but when I let my hair dry naturally I had a surprisingly frizz free version of my natural waves.

All in all the system does it's job, no nasty white flakes to be seen on my black uniform but for me it's likely to be a once a fortnight use to reduce buildup and cleanse my scalp rather than a product I'd use every time I wash my hair.

Head and Shoulders Clean & Balanced Regime really does feel like they are cleansing and soothing your scalp. The shampoo lathers well and the conditioner has a lovely creamy and thick consistency so they are both easy to massage into your scalp and hair. You don’t need to use a lot of either of them so they would last quite a while which makes them pretty economical, especially since they are well priced as well. They also both have a pleasant fragrance.

I found that they soothed and cleared my flaky scalp after only about 3 washes. The conditioner also made my hair feel silky soft.

The packaging is relatively plain but they use the recognisable and traditional blues and white of Head and Shoulders so it makes them easy to find in the supermarket and the lids are easy to open and close.

I really like and would definitely recommend Head and Shoulders Clean & Balanced Regime to anyone who suffers from a dry, flaky and/or itchy scalp. You can just replace your usual shampoo and conditioner with them so it won’t take you any extra time to look after your scalp.

They come in the standard look Head and Shoulders white and blue bottles and a little goes a long way for both these. I don’t think my hair has ever been as soft and clean smelling after any other anti dandruff shampoo as when I’ve used this conditioner. I’m a convert! They are so affordable I will definitely purchase again if they reduce my white speckles. (Only had time to use twice pre review so unsure of speckle/flake dandruff reduction power quite yet)

This shampoo is amazing. Especially for my hair! My hair is thick, coarse and alot of it! when I say alot I mean......ALOT, If I get a 'trim' it could be someone's whole head of hair haha. It's wild. Throughout summer it's oily and throughout winter its drryyyy. I get alot of buildup and dandruff + some added eczema on the back of my head to top it all off! Now that I've painted an epic description of my glorious lush hair haha let's talk shampoo. It has a thick, almost toothpaste look to it, scent is super mild but nice, I need to shampoo my hair twice for it to feel like it's actually cleaning it. After shampoo my hair feels very stripped and I just know if I put comb through it right now it will KNOT be good ( I'm clearly up too early haha ) . but its definitely clean and I know it. Now the conditioner is definitely needed to make my hair all soft again, I feel it really does compliment the shampoo and works well together as a dandruff fighting duo. End result? my hair is dandruff free, eczema cleared after 4 days ( washed my hair twice during this time ) feels alot cleaner and I'm over all happy with the results. Think I'll keep them around. xx

I usually wash my hair once a week, and by day 5 I get lots of dandruff and have to style my hair to hide it. This week I didn’t have that issue at all! I’m now on day 7 and still no dandruff. The shampoo was a good consistency and lathered up really well. The conditioner could have been thicker, and my hair was reasonably smooth after using this duo.
