Head and Shoulders Clean & Balanced Shampoo

I received this product as part of a BR trial but I actually have been using this range for a while now. The shampoo has a light fragrance and lathers nicely in the hair. My hair always feels clean but doesn't make my hair dry or brittle. I used to have more dandruff when I was younger so I started using this product and I think this product really keeps dandruff under control, my scalp doesn't feel itchy and I'm fairly flake-free. I use this once to twice a week (the other times I usually like to try other brands) and this works wonders, my hair and scalp always feels nice and clean afterwards.

Head and Shoulders is of course the OG in supermarket brand dandruff control. I’ve always had dandruff, and I know that H&S truly works to ease the irritation and flakiness.

This regime is much the same as all their other products. The active ingredient of pyrithione zinc works well. The smell is fresh and clean. It is affordable.

Personally I only used this on my scalp because it is quite drying on the ends.

Would I use it again? Probably. But if you can afford salon products such as my favourite Matrix Biolage anti-dandruff shampoo, then that will work on the scalp while also being gentle on the hair.

This product works perfectly with the anti dandruff conditioner.

It comes in a small bottle, is a thick white consistency and I didn't really notice and scent.

Simply massage into your hair, leave for afew minutes and rinse thoroughly.

This product leaves your dandruff free, and no longer an itchy scalp.

I would recommend this brand.

As soon as I opened the bottle I knew this was going to be a great experience. Even before I applied this on my hair I could smell how yummy and fresh the shampoo was. It was so easy to apply in my hair. Once thoroughly washed and dried out I could instantly see results. My scalp was a bit flakey and after using the shampoo I could definitely see a reduction. I have also noticed my head is less itchy than it usually is. The head and shoulders combined shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling clean and made it look nice and shiny. Will definitely continue to use and recommend this to family and friends. (Even hubby tried this out and did wonders for his hair)!!

The thing I liked most about this shampoo was that it lathered up really well. I don't like shampoos that don't lather, as it makes me feel like they're not cleaning my hair! Unfortunately, that's almost where the positives stopped for me. When rinsing the shampoo out, I found that my hair was left feeling a bit sticky. This was helped by applying conditioner afterwards, but wasn't a great feeling if you only use shampoo on your hair. In terms of how it dealt with dandruff, I only get a little bit of dandruff, but really didn't notice it while using this product. If you're wanting a straight forward shampoo that mainly treats dandruff, this is probably what you're looking for!

I’ve always been worried about what people would think with me rocking Head & Shoulders in my bathroom for everyone to see. Ive always has the stupid notion that people would think ewwww she’s got dandruff. (Which they don’t by the way - but sometimes you get a silly notion in your head and it won’t go away.) But seriously Head & Shoulders is the best—even if you’re not the lucky recipient of shoulder glitter (dandruff). It’s just excellent at deep cleaning without stripping, it makes my scalp feel fresh, and has a really pleasant, not-too-girly scent that’s perfect for me and my boyfriend. Plus, it makes my hair insanely shiny and obliterates flakiness, so you don’t have to go around being all self-conscious of shoulder glitter anymore. Winning!

I have fallen in love! This shampoo is amazing. I covers the hair beautifully while giving it that clean feeling almost instantly. My hair is shiny and is tamed.. something I didn't expect to happen.. but was pleasantly surprised by. I used two shampoos before the conditioner as I'm an ex hair dresser and that's how I've always done it.. but i really do believe I could get away with shampooing once before I pop conditioner through. I highly recommend this shampoo. I will now be using this for the foreseeable future

After using the shampoo my hair looks very clean and shiny. The texture is very thick and smells great. It does not smell chemical, it has a very mild odor. With little quantity it made me a lot of foam. After washing it I felt the need to use the conditioner. My hair reaches my shoulders and it was very tangled. I don't need to wash my hair every day. It lasted two days clean. I had no bad reaction in my scalp, I think I could use it daily if necessary. It has a suitable price and it is easy to find it in supermarkets.

This was great! It lathered up beautifully and a little went a long way. The smell is pleasant and it didn't leave my hair dry...actually the opposite! My dandruff has already reduced as less flakey skin is dropping on my clothes

Thanks to BR for sending me this to review. This has regular Head and Shoulders packaging, but it feels sufficiently robust to withstand dropping it in the shower a couple of times. The scent of this product is really nice, and it's quite unisex, so no worries about smelling 'girly' if that's not what you're into- my partner didn't mind using it either!

This lathered really well, and left my hair feeling really clean, but not dry. I have been previously been using the neutrogena T-Gel for my scalp, as I get some flaking and itching, but this could well be a replacement contender. It has controlled my flakes, and hasn't left me itchy, so it's a win for me.
