I bought this a couple year ago when the ads were first on TV. My bangs were getting split ends from my hair iron everyday so I bought this hoping it would make lessen the split ends and make it easier on my hair. I loved it. It's versatile you can use it on wet hair (though I recommend more like damp as it will take forever) you can make it straight or curl you hair. It does have some cons though like the brush bristles aren't replaceable and they're difficult to clean and so you can't use hairstyling products that are sticky or oily. And even though they state that you can do it without a heat protector on the TV ads I don't recommend using it without a heat protector plus unless you use products that "set and hold" to keep your hair straight or curly it won't hold all day. But other than that I love the Instyler and even though I'm not satisfied with other products I've called in and bought off the TV channel this is the one exception were impulse buying off the TV network paid off.

InStyler Rotating Hot Iron Hair Styler
It's not a brush. It's not a flat iron. It's not a curling iron. It's the InStyler® rotating hot iron!
The InStyler rotating hot iron is a totally new styling and straightening tool unlike any hair styling product ever invented!
The secret to the InStyler iron lies in its rotating heated polishing cylinder, along with four rows of precision-aligned bristles.
Here's how it works when you run the InStyler rotating hot iron through your hair, the first set of bristles gently sort and separate your hair strands. Then the rotating heated polishing cylinder gently glides over your hair, smoothly polishing, straightening, and styling each strand. Finally, the second set of bristles puts the finishing touch on your hair, leaving you with shiny, silky, hair! It's truly amazing!
And the best part is, because of the InStyler rotating hot iron's patented design, your hair won't get smashed and baked by the super-intense heat of a flat iron or other "hot" tools. In fact, the InStyler rotating hot iron uses less heat than traditional hot tools, and delivers better results. How? Because the InStyler rotating hot iron's gentle heat in conjunction with the rotating motion of the polishing cylinder literally polishes your hair strands individually so it doesn't need extreme heat to get amazing results.
Your hair will be shinier, bouncier and full of lift and life!
Plus, the InStyler rotating hot iron does so much more than any styling tool out there. Get lift and fullness – right from the root! Get a sexy flip in seconds. Straighten even the toughest, most coarse hair – and still get fullness and style without the stick-straight "flatness" of a flat iron. Do a full style in 8 minutes – and change it again in two minutes! Wrap your hair around the rotating polishing cylinder – and get an amazing curl that lasts all day!
If you can hold it, you can do it with the InStyler rotating hot iron!

Tips: To speed up the styling process if your hair is wet I would recommend towel drying it and blow drying it first and then using the Instyler to style it. I use Dove Hair Therapy Heat Activated Mist as a heat protector since it isn't sticky and doesn't leave residue on the bristles of the Instyler.
my friend got this for me awhile ago, and it works really good in my hair, i find it easy to use, it heats up quickly. leaves my hair rather solf and managable. only downfall is that the bristles on the brush have gone all bent and spread out. aswell as i cant seem to master the curling part of the styling tool! but it doesnt bother me. i do like it but i personally wouldnt spend that much money on it.
I received the InStyler as a Birthday present from my partner recently and I love it!
My hair it very naturally thick, frizzly and curly so it takes a long time to straighten this mess out! But with the InStyler I found that its much quicker as I dont have to go OVER and OVER one strand of hair just to get it straight. I believe this is a great tool for woman with thicker, more unruly hair. Or for woman who want volume rather than a "Flat" look.
Tips: Watch the instructional video first before you use it! It has some great tips and tricks to help you achieve the best results
My family gifted it to me in Feb this year. Its the best thing thats been invented for hair. When I started using it I burnt my face and my fingers a few times. But eventually got the knack. Haven't used a hair dryer since. My hair look much healthier. They always look like I have come out of a salon, shiny as well as awesome looking. The only downside for me is not being able to curl my hair. Just can't get the hang. Don't have any issues with the brush so far as some of the others have mentioned in their reviews.
Tips: Use the instyler a couple of hours after washing your hair. That way you can avoid using a dryer & spend only around 5 mins setting your hair.
Being a hairdresser I have had heaps of clients asking me about these and I have a few clients who own them and say they are not worth the money and dont do a good job, I have tried one myself from a friend and was not impressed at all, they are okay for curling but not the best, I just dont like the feel of it going through my hair. But everyone is different and it could of just been the one I was using.
My mum recommended this to me because it worked for her, as for myself it didnt do anything amazing. I dont like that it can only be controlled with one hand, i kept burning my hand. I have thick hair and it kept getting caught in the roller. Not a pleasant feeling at all. Because i have thick hair i had to go over the same patch a few times and still it didnt give the desired results.
I bought one of these when they first came out but didn't think it suited my fine hair. It just went frizzy & stactic like. I sent it back & got ghds but after 8 years these died so i tried my friends instyler again as i thought it may of been the way i was using it but still no go for my hair so i went with cloud 9 after a lot of research.
Tips: Try before you buy if possible
I have tried these numerous times and I don't think I can recommend them to anyone. They are ok if someone else is doing your hair. The rotator bit only goes one way so it smooth's down one side of the head and on the other side it runs up the cuticle. Also my mother in law has burnt herself a couple of times even with the guard on.
Tips: Always use heat protectant in your hair when straightening.
I have very thick hair so it didnt work as well in my hair as people i know with thinner hair. it did give my hair a nice shine tho and would probably give it another go
i got one for my birthday in august and i love it ,i use to have to use my brush in one hand and straighter in the other, using the instyler i only need one hand. it also saves me alot of time .my hair is natural wavy and it straightens mine really good .heats up pretty fast too ,comes with a bag and also a clip attachment to make curls .p,s the roller is hot be careful not to burn your ears or forehead .
Tips: wash hair earlier and make sure its dried well before using instyler
